Because there have a really kind and feelings with REAL music, and not this schickimicki ,,PopNoise" like here. I have ALL Albums from yes -> eccept Union, Talk and Heaven & Earth -> there are really schrott! Even The Quest I really like it. I hear all kind of rock and metal (have actual 424 CDs), and hear from Pink Floyd til Mathem, Impiety.
Just read most of the comments and Yes fans are the most diverse lovers and dislikers ever. Everything up to Tormato was brilliant. 90125 made Jon and Chris multi millionaires, most deserved. There many brilliant songs after but no brilliant albums.
Miracle of Life also has an awesome intro, as far as Rabin is concerned. But Yes are known for their intros mainly because Rick Wakeman taught them how important they are when he joined the band back in 1971.
Why does commercial Yes get a bad rap? I still adore classic Yes (edge, gates, awaken, etc) But songs like this are ALSO beautiful. I love the variety of the Yes catalog!
For me, it's the 80s sound that I don't really enjoy. This is why my favourite piece off this album is Masquerade - because it doesn't have any of this gloss and bombast that bury the other tracks. As for the "commercial" thing, it doesn't really matter for me (and it's only commercial by Yes standards anyway, right? It's not like they knocked Michael Jackson off Billboard in 91 ;)
@@zavinullava I agree. The '80s style of production is definitely a problem with this album. But I think that Big Generator suffers the most from that.
Quando sento questa meraviglia respiro a pieni polmoni sento un senso di libertà infinita di solidarietà fra le persone queste note sono perle musicali stupende grazie davvero per sempre
Yes this song has Trevor Rabin style to it but where is the problem, you have the past and current Yes Musicians playing wonderful musical parts and we are so privileged, so please stop your silly stupid comparisons and just enjoy it for what it is. Cheers
it is better than shock or the other howe-ish tunes. hate to say it! only miracle of life and take the water are as good or better. the solo is baddass too.
I love yes most yes fans dont. I think the album Talk is the most underrated beautiful music ive ever heard. The last track Endless Dream especially. Love this too, Union. I respect and enjoy all Yes but actually lean more towards these melodic songs
Musicians evolve over time. It's part of the creative process. The best bans were left alone to explore. Not a perfect process but all the gems over time are the fruit of that process and well worth the wait. I remember stumbling into a free concert at our summer exhibition series in 77. The band was called Rush. The glitter, three feet of hair and five inch platform shoes left a brand seared in my head for 40 years. The 20% loss of hearing after two hours was a lesson leaned. The tower of power is OK but you've been warned. Never missed a show or album after that. My children and grand children think grandpa is weird.
If Trevor, Chris & Alan did not invite Jon to sing on 90125, Yes would have died. Be thankful they continued, eventually getting back to the Anderson, Squire, Howe, Wakeman & White line up for a time.
It's a pretty song, but I get why some people were disappointed. There's nothing particularly interesting going on musically, and people expected interesting things from Yes. But it's really kind of a miracle that this album happened at all.
@@martinhayward4466 Ever one has his own opinion. "Yes" has so various musical stages. I don´t love them all. I'm a "prog head" and don't like pop music. I must have heard "Big Generator" just twice in this 35 years. When I heard "Union" I simply skip Rabin songs.
On the contrary, the more complicated Yes is the better I like hence Relayer being one of my favourite Yes albums, the point you are missing is the commercial Rabin Yes is more simple than 'classic Yes' and has a sound like 8th radio rock. I hope I've spelt that out to you clearly...do you understand? Just say yes or no its not complicated.
I saw this concert in Detroit - Palace of Auburn Hills in the early nineties. They had all 8 members and played in the round. Best concert of my life.
Fabulous song off a criminally underrated album
Fabulous song off an average album and concept.
Agreed
How could 7 people not like this masterpiece.....

Ah! You again popping up your little sensitive head...don't you know people can have an opposite opinion or are you still wet behind the ears?
I still love 'Yes' in all its forms & line-ups.
Yes, in all it’s incarnations…one who does not get this does not “get” Yes!!!!
Damn is Rabin’s voice rock gold.

best song on the album imo.
The vocal harmony between Anderson & Rabin: perfection.
i will give rabin the vocal nod over howe anyday lol
This intro is absolutely fantastic !

I luv YES music, and raised my music spectrum with them, this Song always been my demo music for new audio and speakers! luv from South Korea !

Well... I do not disagree :)
Masquerade is the gem of Onion :)
Some of us simply don't love pop music.
Rabin is a great musician, only he is so pop.

@@dandecastro51 lot of great stuff, and i no bog rabin fan. but miracle of life, and take the water to the mountain. as just the best.
Got to see these guys perform at the old Deer Creek outdoor theater, north of Indy, back when this album came out. It was incredible.

Agreed, Talk is totally underrated.
One of my favourite guitar solos (@5:08)

I didn't like a lot of the 'new Yes' but this one and "Miracle of Life" are phenomenal...
it is the prog gem of the album for sure. the tao loves irony
Why did music map literally never recommend me this from Rush? I get a very similar vibe
Some years ago, I founded an English school. It's name was Yes. (YES - Your English School). Yes is a sinonimous of quality.
If Trevor, Chris & Alan did not invite Jon to sing on 90125, Yes would have died. Be thankful they continued, eventually getting back to the Anderson, Squire, Howe, Wakeman & White line up for a time.
Yes might indeed have died ...but Cinema would have thrived throughout the 80s!
yes is a good thing
Love this 2021

One must learn not to be a Yes purist. Just enjoy.

Dieses Lied dünkt von operacion triunfo mitgenommen
Too much reverb. I dont like the production.
Don't listen to it then, simple as !!!
I won't
This one in absolutely NOT a "Yes song"
what you mean? is it your song, perhaps?
😂😂😂 Good answer. Yes was a variety band not also or only Prog, they could demonstrate great talent in the music and rock, pop genre, etc.
It is YES without a f****** doubt!
Definitely a Yes song.......fitting for the 1983 - 1994 era. Rabin is brilliant.

Not my cup of tea, definitely more Foreigner than Yes.
The late Ian McDonald was a founding member of both King Crimson and Foreigner.* That said, I don't agree with your assessment.
Foreigner cannot hold a candle to yes are you kidding me sorry you can't keep up with it the music's too complicated for you
