Dude... plainly and simply... You will very much be missed for whatever hiatus occurs. I've loved your stuff for years and your coverage of wargames has been a great boon to the hobby. Again... You'll be missed.
I'm only going to buy this game if I'm playing the Emperor and I can put my dear friend in command of the armies.... you might know him.... his name is.... Biggus.... Dickus.... WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?!!!!
Clearly, along with an edition of "Risk: I, Claudius" edition, GMT needs to make a Roman Conquest game set in the world of "Life of Brian", and while they're at it, a "Quest for the Holy Grail" game too! Still enjoying your reviews, Cody!
Former consuls usually served as provincial governors. This was a way of getting the old rulers out Rome for a while. A typical governor held his post for five years, though there were exceptions, (Julius Caesar infamously extended his governorship of Gaul by five years to the chagrin of the Senate in Rome). Provincial governorships were seen as a way to make money in retirement, as the governor could essentially set the local tax rate above what Rome required. The excess went into his pocket as well as the pockets of his administrators. This practice continued from the republican period until Diocletian's tetrarchy in the late third century.
HOLEEEE KA-RIEST, Sure, thanks a lot! Put another nail in my banking institution's coffin. Another game to seperate me from my greenbacks...lol Great looking game, I really like the look of the map, and while there does seem to be a lot of mechanics going on, it doesn't seem to be overly complex. Conquest of the Empire was a Larry Harris design, so that's why it has an Axis&Allies feel to it. Larry Harris has a new WWII game coming to kickstarter this fall, called The War Room. Best wishes to you Cody, and best of luck to you sir! I definitely hope and wish we will see more in the future from you and TDG!
Best of luck to you in Texas, Cody. I hope you are able to film more reviews in Texas (all you need are games and a camera, no?) I'll miss your backup crew (as I know you will also), but perhaps they can record bits to incorporate into your videos.
The Discriminating Gamer Is your new job going to take up much more of your time? You'll find people who'll play...search BGG and you'll find people. Wish you were moving my way as I'd play any game you wanted. I'll certainly watch anything you put on RUclips. Maybe do some Top 10 favorites or in depth commentary on some older games.until you have established a group. Any plans for Holly and the others to keep making vids? You were the glue and it was your channel, so perhaps that ends their interest.
I imagine between my schoolwork and job I'll be pretty busy. I'm sure I'll be able to do something here or there down the road, just don't know when or how much. Other than that everything's still up in the air.
The Discriminating Gamer Well, I'll miss your humor, concise explanations, sidekicks, great songs, great editing, and the overall quality of your reviews. If you don't mind me asking, what job do you do and what classes will you be taking?
I love dudes on a map game. Gmt games can be intimidating. how does this compare to conquest of empires? Do you get the same feel of moving armies around?
I wish you good luck and a successful future. BTW where are you moving from? I will miss your great sense of humor. Post something once and a while so we know how you are doing.

Thank you, sir!
I hope we'll see more reviews from you in the future. One of my favourite youtube channels, hands down. Thank you!
Thank you!
Honestly, my early game of the year. It is elegant, brilliant and incredibly fun.
Indeed!
The audio volume of the last segment of the video was suddenly much louder... It's best to keep it a bit stable throughout the video.
Thanks.
Loved your reviews good luck with your new venture. I do hope we see some Texan reviews !
I think you'll see at least one. And If I get a copy of TI4 I will move hell and high water to get a review out there!

He has a wife, you know...

Agreed 100%. Thank you, sir!
Thanks for all the great reviews and good luck in Texas.
Gilles de Rais Thank you, sir!
Enjoy your time in Texas! I hope you can continue but will completely understand if you cannot; thank you and good luck!
Thanks!
Looks good, but don't think it would be something I'd play very often...once or twice, maybe. Great vid as always.
Thanks!
'Time of Crisis' ... an appropriate title as you go into your future unknown !! :-)
Good luck in TX.
Thank you, sir.
As far as I know it is still legal to do game reviews in Texas.
Thank goodness. I've already done a couple!
Wow the mechanics on this sound interesting. Well described! This looks like one to definitely check out.
Indeed. Thanks!
have read a lot of history of the period... never saw anything about governors

Very late to the party on this one, but it looks great!
It's a great game.

Thoughts on 2 players?
I've only ever played the game with four players.

I think it's a better game than Conquest of Empire. The deck building aspect in this game is really cool.
🦕. Nice review,,,, no jokes though,,,,,🐒,,,,,,, 🤺 you a naughtiy man ,,,🐎 🤺🐾🥂👍
Not everything is funny.
Nice review. I like the look of this…..Unless there’s a newer game that you think is better.
This is a fantastic game. I think they’re coming out with a deluxe edition.
4 upload day?!
Just got internet in my apartment today. Speed is much faster than I had before!
I wish you good luck and a successful future. BTW where are you moving from? I will miss your great sense of humor. Post something once and a while so we know how you are doing.
I moved from the Salt Lake area. I'm sure I'll post videos here and there where I can.
