I am phobic about shower curtains touching me. Going on my 1st cruise soon on Celebrity Reflection and since my mom is in a wheelchair we have a roll in shower with a shower curtain. Place a few clothes pins on the bottom of the shower curtain and it will stay down and not wrap around you or stick to you. Hope that tip will help others.
Your gonna have an amazing trip trust me i did my first cruise in october and am still buzzing from it.make sure you take the great tips on offer b4 you go. Im excited for you lol .enjoy
@@drpantastic1969 thankyou! I am so excited I am counting down the days. Lots of family going, some I haven't seen in 20 years. 33 days and counting. Thankyou for the advice I will definitely check it out.
OMG me too!!!! The shower curtain in stateroom V6 on carnival Paradise kept trying to violate me! It was awful! 😩
@@jessiedesigns that gave me a good laugh! Those creepy shower curtains that are molesting people! Gross..just gross!
@@jessiedesigns You and the other lady made me Lol!
Thanks for the update. I will be on that ship in January 2023 for the Heros Cruise. As a retired military veteran the cruise is free and we pay the fees. I'll take it. Happy Holidays Jay and Merry Christmas.
In our cabin the shade worked fine and the tv was great .we had outlets by the bed ..the bed was comfy and closet worked fine..but the shower curtin did attack me in the shower 😆
The information about the plugs is important. A lot of folks travel with Cpap machines and the plugs so far away would be a nightmare! Makes no sense that they wouldn't improve things for the US market. All I can think is that they only expect people to be one and done clients.
I am currently on NCL Breakaway. There are two US sockets no usb. The staff is amazing, the app is useless. We left late, and then had a medical evacuation so the captain has been running full speed ahead and well I for one am glad I don’t get sick. Having a great time.
OMG ❤ that cabin looks so freakin cute!!!!! It’s so me 😂
Thanks for the tour! I would definitely be turning on those lights by the bed accidentally while sleeping since they are so low.
My husband and I have been on 35 cruises and some of them have been on inside or port hole cabins like this. We prefer a balcony but we are only in the cabin when we are showering or sleeping so the room is no big deal to us. Most of our cruises have been on Norwegian Cruise Lines.
We just went on this cruise days ago, and I thought it was great! Our room (5100) was cool, almost cold so we turned it down (no problem). Yes, it's an old ship but it's been newly redecorated. Our room was nice. We did get an extension cord (converter) from customer service. There was a USB port by the bed & a US outlet.
Our room was bigger than a normal balcony room on other ships. It had 2 chairs by the window (unlike Jay's). I wish I could post a picture. It is a short 2 night trip...& well worth the price! Just go & enjoy yourselves! PS...the shower curtain is too short!
What else could you expect from low price cruise line that operates a 1991 ship!? Honestly, the ship is in much better shape than before and room itself looks a bit bigger when compared to newer ship... So, not bad do a 2 days cruise! 😊
My only issue would be the very thin walls. If you have loud neighbors you may need to bring noise cancellation headphones
As a many-time cruiser I have started to book insides only to save money and also because I realized I am NEVER in the room other than to sleep and change clothes...the last two balconies I had I realized I never even went out on. One of the new updates I love is the Virtual Balcony ....have you done a segment on them?
Aint it crazy that i only found your channel as i was planning a cruise yet ive now done the cruise (with great tips from this channel and others) but am still watching 👀 i guess i really like your content
Hey J. Ocean view. Like the bright colors. Odd stretch for a U S outlet. Decent size tv. Like the light control on the headboard. Safe a good height. Ok closet for 1, not sure if enough hanging for 2. Bathroom not bad. Nice countertop. First ship I’ve seen a trash bag in the 🗑️ bin in the bathroom. Wow. Walls that thin? 🫤. Agreed. Simple/dated but functional. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
I've done carnival and trust me the walls are thin too. I guess that's why some book on top deck levels to avoid noise but hey it is what it is. These trips are short and who is barely in their room anyway
Thanks for sharing! I'll be there in a month. It would be great if you find a friend that allows you to film one of the suites.
Thanks for the review! I’m going on one of their cruises next month for my birthday. I feel better going in now that I know what to expect.
I was on this sailing too. We booked via the "Heroes Sail Free" program. We paid taxes and port charges. I have sailed on over 30 cruises on several different lines. The room, on deck 7, Was adequate until we saw roaches in our room. We changed rooms afterwards.
Say what??!! I had better not see any in mine. I just booked a stateroom on the lower deck for new years
Thanks for being honest. Most folks I ve watched are trying just to sell the cruise not really saying what it is like to take it.
Looks cute, I don’t know how I’d feel about a window cabin as I like the idea of interiors so I can have perfect dark at night and I like balcony cabins so I can go vape outside and dry my bikinis (i know you’re not supposed to do either lol) but I don’t think I’d use a window too much. Must be nice to have a view though and to be able to tell time of day on a short cruise when you don’t want to get too jet lagged or sleep all day! This ship is on my list of ones I want to try.
The thin walls is a deal killer.
Ome cruise hack my wife and I do, is that we now take EU adaptors to have extra plugs
Me too
Thank you so much for sharing what it looks like I'ma go on a cruise ship next year for my birthday
The room looks just fine to me..when I cruise I'm hardly ever in the room.
Facts!
It’s soooo much to do on cruises
Thanks for showing me the room in detail
Yes, this was helpful as it's my first time going on Margaritaville and booking one of their staterooms
7077 sounds like a good cash 4 number to play.😀
Temp controler sux.. not working. Switch behind pillows super weird... overall i spent 2 days and for 99+tax bucks per person person is not bad. Your were alone therefore thats why you pay for 2.
daughters and I are thinking about giving this a try. They offer a free trip for police, EMT's, medics, RNs, and most "public service" people, even retired ones like myself. We figure for port charges only we can't go wrong.
It’s not that bad. I’ve been on her at least 5 times before Margueritaville and I always have a good time. Of course it helps that live 5 miles from the port. I hate going to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami
How lucky🎉
I think it seems overpriced for what you get. You can get a 3 night on other lines for about the same price and get more entertainment and more included food options.
It's a nice room for a cheap cruise. This is a party ship. I would be just fine in it.....
Does the shower curtain hug you when you take a shower? That happened to me on my MSC cruise, it was the size of a coffin.
😅
I realize it’s not new with all the comforts of newer and better refurbished ones, but at least it’s a decent room for a short cruise. I did like that it seem to be more spacious. But that shower curtain would drive me effing nuts!!!!
you hear everything; some other guests in nearby rooms wake you with their arguing at 5 am and others 4 am when they get in for the night. Suggest you watch at least 3 other vloggers reviews of their experience on this ship. Highest rating was a generous 5/10
Yea, for me as long as the cabin is functional and clean doesn't really bother me as much because real talk you're only in your cabin to sleep & change your clothes and ofc shower
Hello, I’ve been watching your videos for a few days and I’m wondering where do you find your cruises at the prices you find. I have a wife and four kids and would like to surprise them, but not go broke (almost there) anyways. Hopefully you see this post.
Margaritaville seems to always have BOGO specials (one price for 2 ppl) and they have cruise certificates you can gift to others for as low as $299. But I'm sure if you check out the other cruise lines esp during off peak they may have specials. I'm all about a good discount esp for cruises. They can be quite expensive.
Ugh! Thought I was the only one. Thank you!
Been thinking about booking. This was very helpful.
After you go you'll look back on it like why did i hesitate lol.go have some fun life is too short my friend .
I’ll be on there in April as part of the Heroes Sail Free so I appreciate this review very much! I’m wondering if we could bring extension cords or I’ll remember to bring a power bank pre charged
4:32 Reminds me of my college dorm life LOL
🤣
For the price, it's not too bad
Did they provide shower gel etc or have to bring your own?
Me and my father recently did this cruise (one-way though) and we enjoyed it. Also had an oceanview room.
God bless everyone.
Oh wow you can book one ways I didn't even know that.
Been obsessing about booking my first Cruise . Love the videos
I highly recommend it. Started years ago and have loved each and every cruise I've been on.
I love cruising but I am not sure this particular one is a good representation of cruising in general. It's almost like a ferry in that every day is embarkation day. You can get off and stay in a resort then get back on. I think on your first cruise you should go for a few more bells & whistles. Just my opinion.
Man once you go on a cruise you’ll totally fall in ❤. My first one was with Carnival. It’s something about being on the 🌊
You just confirmed my every fear I had about this cruise line when I was offered the free deal due to mine and my husbands jobs. Yea I am so glad I decided not to book and found a deal on a much longer trip for us with another line for an anniversary trip!
Definitely a bit weathered, surprised they didn't do a full refurb of the ship. The bathroom seems like a decent size, but the shower curtains on all ships have got to go!!
Nice review of the room. Ridiculous lack of power points! Not only did the window shade not want to stay up, even when it was all the way down, lots of light still gets past.
Did the 31 year old toilet work well? With lots of food to eat on a cruise, that matters.
Good stuff! I just got of the Conquest (sound familiar) I paid 350.00 for 4 days and got 200.00 OBC. Thanks for the info but I will stay with going out of Miami!
Oh saweet deal!
That's a good deal on water service! I've paid $50 for water before.
Why would you pay 50 dollars for a glass of of water?...there was no other means of hydration?
3:20 Not good for passengers using medical equipment (i.e. CPAP machine)
I was just thinking that, thank you!
We’re sailing on Thursday just a few rooms down…is that a single or double occupancy because we paid about $430 total for 2
All are double occupancy except suites
Gotcha! Many thanks for the video. Now I know to bring adaptors and my mini extension cord 😊
It's a low cost shitter of a cruise. Gotta take price and itinerary into consideration. You get what you pay for. Maybe good for a quick getaway.
I agree. Definitely not bad for a quick vacation
Exactly
You gotta jump on Norwegian or carnival for the real deal cruises
Ok, the room sucks, got it. So how was the food and service?
😂
Jay, am I crazy or does it look bigger than most staterooms on other lines?
Yes it is for sure!
I did carnival with a basic two twin beds and I swear it was smaller and way more pricier so I feel this size is pretty fair.
The problems in that bathroom are minor, but not getting maintenance to fix them is a BIG problem IMO.
Just letting people know you can actually do this cruise one-way. So if you want to go on a vacation to Grand Bahama (or even visit some of the other islands) you can actually use this cruise as a means of transportation and for two people it is actually cheaper than many flights right now.
God bless everyone.
Noted🤗
Nice look out the window at the Port of Palm Beach!
Most of all of the Florida ports are industrial
Have you been on carnival sunrise
Shower looks tiny, particularly with that shower curtin!
It’s a tight fit for sure
Are the walls metal?
Thank you so much Jay for this cabin tour. I’ve been considering the free cruise offer for veterans, so this helps a lot to know, free or not, is it worth the cost of paying transportation 🤔
I might try one! The guests with you get a discounted rate! It might be worth a try, if the food and entertainment aren't too bad. Update: I just looked at another comment. Maybe not this cruiseline!
It doesn't seem too bad. A bit dated in terms of furniture but as long as it was clean. My worry with a low price cruise would be whether it's full of party goers that can't handle their drink and whether it stinks of vomit everywhere. The blind was almost certainly broken and a bit of an odd style choice to dress such a characterful window.
If you were force to choose one cruise line for the rest of your life which one will that be and be honest?
Thxz Jay
I don’t ever need to sail on that ship regardless of the price.
😂
That bathroom counter! Never seen anything that large except in suites. Overall, the bathroom size seems decent with the exception of the shower. But I did like the shelves in the shower. Lots of storage space in the room as though it's going to be a long cruise. I've heard good things about the food and the nighttime main stage show. We almost booked when they had a two for one special a while back, but we just had so many cruises booked. It's interesting how you can get off, spend a few days in a resort, then get back on. Perfect for folks who will not fly!
Vickie; every other vlogger hated their room (mold in bathroom and toilet) and also could not sleep at all; some in nearby rooms got up at 5 am and others nearby partied till 4 am and you HEAR EVERYTHING. Things to do onboard? one vlogger showed a table with board games ( like Monopoly, Risk) on it ! Every vlogger said "never again." This cabin review is very suspicious.
@@esciteach7997 Yikes!
@@esciteach7997 he did say "you get what you pay for" and I took that as a no
How did you pay so much? Msc 4 days out $200 with drinks and wifi? Or is that total with grat?
He probably had to pay double occupancy, if you price it out per person for 2 people it’s $93 a day, not bad. Not amazing but not bad
Grat is slapped onto your cruise acct no matter what so might as well drink up (alcoholic beverages that is) regular drinks & regular food is included in your fare.
It looks like they haven't changed out the Carnival carpet.
It was a Costa ship not Carnival
I wish they had longer trips
For longer cruises you would need to book carnival or Norwegian. Margaritaville only goes to Bahamas from Florida.
Thanks for showing it. NOT FOR ME.
If they would just paint and update the carpet it would go a long way
Lol
That shower is the worst
Looks like Jimmy needs to put some money in some refurbishment. That headboard looks kinda nasty.
I made a reservation for this ship cause I got a good deal and I'm kind of regretting it
Don’t. It’s not that bad
Oh nvm i saw the bottles inside shower
Is the price you paid for the cruise a per person amount or total amount ?
Thanks
Total amount
Bro it looks like that sucks😮
Motel 6 of the sea.
🤣😂🤣😂
Still would rather cruise here then Carnival.
Is carnival that bad lol my first cruise was on carnival and I had a blast🎉 that cruise made me fall in love with cruisin'
Man... how you have a carnival card in Margaritaville? Lol
I literally just got off Carnival’s new ships the Celebration and came straight over to Margaritaville. That’s why
I couldn't be around that many parrotheads
You really won’t be. The majority of the people are from Palm Beach County Florida. It’s an easy getaway for us.
Always complaining. It's not a bad room. This is par for the course and in line with what other cruise lines are offering. I like the design of the wallpaper and the pictures.
I'll pass on this ship
Four thousand views and 699 likes including mine? WTF? Where is the love?
It's a 30 yr. Old ship. You're getting a good $$ deal for 3 day 2 night . Why are you complaining? You knew what you were getting
Just looking at that room makes me think old and outdated. Maintenance needs to be done badly. I’m used to the standards of NCL, sorry.
Good luck-NCL is about to have serious staffing issues.
@@heather1980 And you know this how?
@@donnathompson1682 because I watch the news? Are you unaware of the recent policy changes?
One day I'll checkout NCL
This is the worst room I've ever seen on a ship
You have obviously not been on an old MSC ship 🤣
Everything is so cheap looking. Yuk.
@@donnaschuepbach3830 There is that....
Looks like a budget motel in a ghetto.
wow, acting rich going from an inside cabin to a cabin with a window......Sounds like you are bragging......
Love your show...
Eric
For some Reason I think of SpongeBob bikini Bottom looking at this room.
Get what you pay for
That's a very basic cabin...not my style...
They have ten beautiful balcony suites if you want to pay for them.
Nope definitely not for me, another one I know to avoid Thank you Justin :)
Sounds miserable.
I know you are partial to cheap stuff…. But just admit it…. That room is crap.., just say it please! Stop saying anything is “Okay” in that room! Lol. It’s a $374 disaster! There is a way to do a $374 room right! Lol. That’s not it!
I honestly don't think it's bad. I mean he only booked a two-day cruise and probably won't even be in there as much. Just to sleep and wash up really.
Good video as always. I think mr.beast rented that entire cruise ship to him and his friends for an hour 😂
