Enigma- PLEASE do an analysis on The Walking Dead S3E13 "Arrow On The Door Post"? The scene where The Governor tells Rick about how his wife died....SO GOOD.
This really shows how Phoenix absolutely nailed the role as Joker, the subtle movements make his acting so authentic
Well said
P.S. Nice to see you again
YOU
@@pjcinema5600 Ya it's me
@@Christian_H3rnand3z no I mean Just Some Guy without a Mustache
Yes.
I couldn't imagine being humiliated like that in front of so many people.
Its the fact that it was so two faced. Murray was nice to him in the blue room but then made fun of him thought the show.
@@enigmabodylanguage Assuming Arthur didn't understand he was being mocked I'm guessing
@@LittleMissAnonymous Oh I think he knew. He saw it but didn't want to cause trouble until he was on camera.
@@enigmabodylanguage Oh yeah but Murray thought he was too dumb to figure it out. Joke's on him ;]
@@LittleMissAnonymous yeah, for real.
I have to disagree on the hand in the pocket. It was his left hand he kept in the pocket, which is the same hand he used to shoot with later.
I think he had his hand in his pocket to feel the gun and used it to comfort himself. A reminder that it would all be over soon.
Excellent observation!
Very smart thought
yeah that could be it
Thats amazing
😲..
That eye-twitch meaning he was angry. That is an incredible detail. Even harder to see with his make-up.
Anybody: Breaths
Engima: This is passifying behaviour
I noticed you calling him Joker before going on the show and not Arthur. I appreciate that.
:D
I think he at least become just Joker after he learned his Arthur Fleck identity was a lie
It’s weird even imagining that a RUclipsr could be this criminally underrated
Haha that's very kind!
@@enigmabodylanguage thank you, but it really is true. I’ve actually learned a lot from your videos!

The understanding of body-language from Phoenix is incredible.
A video of enigma analysing a joker scene suggests that enigma wants me to press the like button.
And his unobtrusive subscription graphic suggests that he actually cares about his audience and knows they want to see his analysis, not an obnoxious plug for the channel.
This looks so profesionaly done. good job.
Thank you :D
That laugh he does in the clip they play. It's so sad, he's mostly crying when he laughs. But as the movie goes on, and he embraces that Joker side of him, the laugh becomes happier.
For those who missed the point of the kiss to Dr. Sally, she previously asked "Does he have sexual problems?" Joker eyed only her and kissed her to show that he did not. It was a big "F.U." to Dr. Sally.
This guy never fails to teach me something new in these videos.
I am very glad!
This guys the freaking man when it comes to these joker body language videos I give this guy lots of credits
Thank You!
finally somebody who understands the mastery of great acting and the nuance these artists express unlike most ''bubblegum'' reactors on youtube (clickbaiters) great work and a new sub for you.
Hes such a good actor
The way you have organized this video and executed it was perfection. upload lots of joaquin!!!
Thank you so much!
Enigma can't read people's mind...
But he can read their body
He can express a million different emotions with his eyes , most valuable eyes in Hollywood.

He laughs like that when he's angry.
Angry, anxious, depressed, afraid, any form of being upset, based on what we see throughout the film. That was one analysis I thought was off, too, since it’s made clear early on that his laughter isn’t forced but involuntary.
So happy i found this channel man you give out genuine knowledge of this topic without trying to make yourself seem up on your own ass about it which is rare from body language analyst types
Thank you :D
I love that movie because of the psychology
Sheeeesh these joker analytics hit different.
It's so cool to know how the characters are feeling.
Also RDR2 Analytic when ? 🤔🙄
It would be really cool to see you do these for Eric Andre interviews; I'd love to see breakdowns of celebrities' habits as Eric does really crazy shit around them.
Extremely underrated channel. So glad I found this gemstone
Thank you!
he's definitively my preferred joker, not because the two others were not wonderfully played but because he is more human.
Let’s go! I’ve been binging these joker analysis videos
I am glad :D
Do the scene when Anakin and Obi wan argue on mustafar in Revenge if the Sith.
Yess! That movie is criminally underrated. The acting is so good. Sad that people tend to overlook all the great scenes.
I didn’t realize until now what differentiates good actors and great actors. He really nailed this role
"Arthur is laughing and smiling because he is happy"
As an actor... your channel is priceless. Thank you! X
I love the way you the stuff break down now, it’s a lot more elaborate!
you can't really fault at Arthur for killing Murray, really. i mean, if i was getting my ass kicked by society only for then to have my biggest hero make fun of my stand-up routine on his show, i'd kill him too..another great video from enigma. :)
Thank you :D I think everyone would agree with you there.
Agreed
Indeed
Arthur only toyed with the idea of killing Murray. It wasn't until they interacted with any real context that he opted to kill him rather than himself. Murray made it quite plain to Arthur that he was an awful person within the span of a sentence. Murray was never going to stop making fun of him, Arthur realised this to a degree. It wasn't until Murray opted to out him as a cold-blooded killer. "Fine" he thought "I'll be whatever clown you need me to be. You're not gonna find this funny though. But, I will"
Please do the scene where Gladiator (Maximus Decimus Meridius) reveals himself to the Emperor, which funnily enough was acted by Joaquin! Such a powerful scene
Omg such a good movie, I’d watch that
I'd love to see you do the gas station scene from No Country For Old Men
this just makes you apreciate even more how great the acting is in this film
also i always have my hands crossed behind my back is that something or what
Very well done. You have the clarity of a professional spokes person.
Thank you :D
The entire scene once he comes out of the curtains *rhymes* a famous scene from the Dark Knight comics. The "Dark Knight" was a 4 issue series of graphic novels set when Batman is very old. It's one of the top Batman works ever made.
Dr. Sally is basically Dr. Ruth.
And in the graphic novel, when Joker kissed Dr. Sally, his lips were covered with poison.
So it's kind of an homage... maybe an intentional misdirect but also a hook to any Dark Knight fan who saw the scene in trailers before the movie came out. It made it *clear* that the director was familiar with Batman.
A truly great scene. Thank you for analyzing it! 💕
The way Joker laughs when Murray asks "how's that going for you" almost sounds like he's mocking the audience for laughing at that. He starts it after they start, it's in a similar manner, and it's in a higher pitch. It's definitely fake, but it really feels like there's a little more to it than just him trying to blend in.
27,000 views and only 7 dislikes... damn that's impressive.
great video mate.
Thank you 😁
@@enigmabodylanguage no, thank you. Only 5 min in to the video and really impressed and loving it, also really love the lighting when you speak.
I had no idea what a simple handshake could represent. Thanks so much for the wealth of knowledge!
Pleasure!
I think he always intended to kill Murray. He plays out shooting himself because when kills Murray he sees it as the death of a fantasy...the death of Arthur. He is now reborn as Joker. 🤷🏻♂️
Also notice that before Arthur steps out onto the stage, his suit is purple, signifying that this is the beginning of the creation of the Joker.
Also, when he kisses the doctor it's not in an aggressive manner. While he does continue to kiss her despite her protest, he does so gently. His lips seem to remain closed. Despite the kiss not being consensual, there's something polite about the Joker's mannerisms. It indicates that he wouldn't do this normally. It's just for show.
i noticed u just hit 100k a few minutes ago CONGRATS DUDE LOVE YOUR CONTENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@enigmabodylanguage To be honest i only saw ur content 3 or 2 days ago but goddamn did i watch like 40 videos man haha they are so entertaining and i get to learn something too!

You should try Tainted Meat, a scene in the Walking Dead.
That's a proper scene for the channel. Great suggestion
these videos genuinely dissect so much from these scenes! These videos are really high quality.
The fact that the bearded guy is likely the 2nd most morally sound character in this movie
I also noticed the dance. I can get extremely anxious and when I dance it calms me down
I like how Murray says no dark humor, then later on the show he jokes about divorce.
I can tell you really enjoyed this movie, especially with how many parts you’ve made.
Joker wasn't forcing his laughs. he has PBA or something
Pseudobulbar affect (PBA)
Thanks Enigma.
I've made an extra clip on my channel just to shout out to you as a thanks for teaching me all that you have bro.
Hope it helps you out, I appreciate your work amigo.
If you add English captions that will be so good for people who don’t know English very well and the people that can’t hear
When he kissed the doctor he was mocking her because she said "does he have sexual problems?"
ive been watching you for a month now and i love every single one of your videos you are awesome keep going!

I love these videos. Please keep doing more of these, especially on The Walking Dead.
Sure!
The one dislike is a Heath ledger fan... fir sure
I think there is no analysis possible to the dance before he goes out. Its simply art, its just what the character needed in that moment
First of all that’s a great video. Small note on your background: move those objects next to you to different horizontal lines so you have some depth in your frame. Give your background a Little bit of light to be able to get the depth. Maybe add a Reflector to your personal right side to fill some of the shadows on your face.
I like your content a lot! :)
Very nice work sir , I was looking for Joker body language. Ty a lot
These videos are amazing I would love to be a actor some day, it's my passion and these videos have helped me so much now i can understand and practice some body language techniques
i would LOVE to see you break down some of the tougher moments for Rick Grimes from the walking dead.
thinking about the episode where he meets negan for the first time, and the episode after that would be amazing ones to do. at the end of the finale cliffhanger where we met negan rick starts the episode with the words "im gonna kill you" and by the end of it is about to mame his son, while crying his eyes out begging Negan to ALLOW him to stop.
its a master class in acting and to be honest is hard to watch due to how damn convincing Andrew Lincoln is (ricks actor).
the scene i really want to see done by ya is that ending scene. the end of Season 7 episode 1 i think. where negan tells rick to cut off Carl's arm.
Ik u only take suggestions from patrons but I highly recommend a quiet place because it’s a masterpiece
It’s not
It’s very average
I always felt that he actually likes Dr. Sally.
"its a clean show..."
So an old lady asking if Arthur having sexual problems is considered clean?
the Murray show is pretty hypocritical
This might be my favorite movie of all time. These breakdowns are explaining to me why I feel this way.
when you notice that the chess board is set up wrong
Another reason to call him joker instead of Arthur is to dehumanize him. If he kills himself as Arthur people will go poor Arthur. He wants to be anonymous & ambiguous.
I thought the dance also looks like a metamorphosis. Butterfly unfurling it’s wings
"Rupert Pupkin"
meets
"Arthur Fleck".
Really liked this video! At this point, the comfort of having things work out against the policemen running after them had to keep him calm enough not to react to the obvious laugh of not having heard of the incident in the train. I think it was more meaningful he entered dancing as he really seems to find something in dancing (let's not forget he was able to play with a gun while dancing, how he used it as a coping mechanism when he shot the guys and how he danced before getting out to this stage). Also, I think kissing the doctor, as much as he was sure would be funny, I'm sure was planned in how he didn't hesitate. He probably somehow saw something in that behaviour would be well-received by studying the people who were previously invited. It really complements the previous video. Thank you
Jokers laugh on this movie is a tick
He can’t control it
Or scared or stressed otherwise known as a tick
Are you going to do the scene where he shoots murry? You gotta.
This one was fantastic.

The dislike is from Mur-raaay
As you can see he sits down, this means that he is no longer standing
i have so much respect for joaquin !! his acting is so good, i wonder if he does these things on purpose
The Murray Franklin show had the worst security.
I’m on a roll with these Joker body language videos, binging this shiz hard, mad entertaining!
I never have reached out my hand to someone in my life.
Nor tilted up.
Nor equal now that I think about it.
What's up with Dr. Sally's body language at 7:27? lol She freezes in that pose. Imagine something like that happening today? He'd be led off in handcuffs.
Joker's odd laughter in this movie is not "fake laughter" as you keep calling it. Joaquin Phoenix is portraying the character as having a condition called "Pseudobulbar affect"(PBA). It is usually caused by head trauma or as a secondary effect of other neurologic conditions. It is a condition that is characterized by bouts of uncontrollable and inappropriate laughing and/or crying. So when he starts exhibiting this very strange laughter or laughter intermingled with crying like when Joker is saying that he hated school. If you've ever seen footage of people that suffer from PBA it becomes very obvious that is what is going on here.
Actually, Arthur has a fake laugh, a genuine laugh and a laugh due to how he has PBA. Which laugh he has varies from time to time.
Question for Enigma:
(just to clarify, this is *not* a video request, I’m just curious)
Have you seen Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural, and if yes, can you tell if Shane Madej is secretly scared, or is he legitimately unfazed by all of the terrifying stuff that happens around him on the show?
Next the blood smile scene
Ty for this! Honestly didnt think about the fact he wanted to kill himself on the show! I thought he was just getting prepared to kill Murray! Wow I gotta watch this again such a beautifully made movie
