Thank you for the kind comments and I hope that you are enjoying yours as we much we are. Sounds like you also got a great deal too. Kind regards Kev 😎
Great find... I recently just picked up a Fender FSR Vintera Road Worn Mischief Maker in Firemist Silver... Nitro Paint, American Vintage 59 pick ups, tele neck for £525 (Andertons exclusive listed on there for £1400 but out of stock). Could not be happier with the guitar and price. Love the Surf Green also. Good review
Hi Kev, that does sound like a bargain to be had and very interesting too. I like the Strat body/tele neck spec which is great and what a great price you paid for it. Thanks for sharing your experience with us and please consider subscribing if you haven’t already. Cheers Kev 😎👍
Hi Paul, it just goes to show that you can enjoy the same quality of guitar at a cost effective price. Thanks for taking the time to comment which is appreciated. Regards Kev 😊
Actually does look like a bargain at least by today’s prices. Right after I saw your video my bad case of G.A.S. flared up again and I sought the exact same surf green model😅. The best price that I could find Stateside was a shade under $1,000, or about £800. So I reckon that you got a steal at £500 pounds, though I know that prices have since skyrocketed for all kinds of gear. I have a few grail guitars left to find and a relic‘d Strat like your son‘s is one of them but I’m put off by the pricing for instruments that in effect can escape a lot of QC scrutiny because they are already "relic‘d". I think that gives license to manufacturers to let problems slide because with the finish already in used condition who is going to know the difference😂. If anything, manufacturers can just claim that a guitar with defects are even more authentic and just like the vintage originals. Same thing for buying one used. And I really don’t have enough expertise to be performing an overhaul and might do more harm than good. So for now I am staying away and hoping that my G.A.S. dissipates if I don’t obsess too much about continuing the grail quest😆😆😆
@@randrothify that’s a great reply and wow I didn’t really expect anyone to go out and buy one the back of this video.😊 I hope that you will enjoy your road worn and yours does represent good value for these fine instruments. The good news is that my sons did just require a good check over and a basic set up before purchase, which got missed. However, it’s now playing as it should be and I hope that yours is too. Let me know how you get along? 😊👍
Great guitars, great review. I've got the '60s Strat, Vintage White w/Pure Vintage '59 Pickups, and it's one of my favorite guitars. What an awesome score @ £500!
@@GigsandGuitars ok keV my question was as a follow up to this vlog why don't you buy some really affordable guitars ie East coast antiquity and the replacement for the squier bullet I think it would cover all the bases then
Mind blowing good, love that sound ❤.
Cheers, it’s a great guitar and a complete bargain. Glad you liked it 😊👍
My main Strat is a 2017 (Pre-Vintera) Road Worn 50's in Sunburst. The quality and finishing details rival American Strats.
Glad that you are enjoying your Strat and thanks for sharing your thoughts on these great guitars 😊👍
I have the Daphne blue version of this, used for $500 USD no gig bag or case. You got a steal!

Recently played a mexican road worn myself, i liked the guitar a loooot
They are a very fine instrument and I’m glad that you enjoyed the experience 😊👍
I’ve owned a few of the (pre-Vintera) Classic Series guitars. The build quality from Mexico is as good as USA or Japan in my experience.

Great looking and sounding instrument. I’m a little surprised that the dealer didn’t do a basic inspection and set-up before selling it to you.
It is a good point and the reality of these things…any thoughts on it being a bargain? Regards Kev 😊👍
