    I think the Barista pro is just a good choice for many people. I don't have one but having used one I love it so much more than my Bambino Plus. The coffee isn't heads above or anything, but the workflow is way, way better.

      Yeah the Barista pro is a really nice machine to use. Whenever I speak to coffee professionals, people in the industry who are approximately ten million times more knowledgeable and experienced in coffee than I am, and I ask them what machine they use, expecting them all to say LMLM or Eagle 1 Prima for example, I know a good % of them are going to reply Barista Pro, like you say they're just really good for workflow, great little machine for anyone who has some barista skill or doesn't mind developing some. Ta, Kev.

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the kind words 😎. You can, easiest way is to use the dual walled baskets. You don't have to, you can be a rebel, ignore the instructions 😄, and use the single walled baskets, but just keep in mind that if you do that, you can't really rely on shot time as an indicator, and you may find that you can't really dial them in, like you can with freshly roasted beans - and by that I don't mean beans that were roasted this morning (that would be just as tough to dial in) but I mean beans that come with a roasted on date, ideally somewhere from a week to ten days from roast date, depending on the beans. Ta, Kev.

I'm sure if you do some googling about E61 machines you'll find info from people who've tried it, and also people with much more E61 experience than I have. Cheers, Kev.

    I got a barista pro after Christmas and have heard I really need a different grinder to get a good grind. Is this true? I’m looking at one of the bambinos with maybe a niche zero. I liked the pro and did a lot of research but don’t want to spend a lot of money in another two years. Really frustrated with two wasted bags of fresh coffee and lots of spat shots. Is it the grinder? Help!? I dunno what to doooo

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  5 месяцев назад

      Is the grinder in the Barista Pro the reason you can't make decent shots, I'd say probably not, loads of home baristas use the pro and make great shots with it.
      Are there better stand alone grinders than the integrated grinder in the pro, of course, but this doesn't mean you can't make decent shots with the Pro, if you're not making drinkable shots with it, it's more than likely a dialling in issue.

    Hi Kev
    I’ll be the only one in house using a machine so barista pro best choice?
    What do you mean by should you go for an integrated grinder with pro if getting into home barista hobby? Don’t understand this is this a negative with the pro?
    Barista pro better than express impress?
    What time of year might there be a bargain on the pro? Looks like pro is a good option….I think?
    Thank you for the top class information 🙏🏻

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah if you're wanting to get into the home barista hobby, the Barista Pro is defo one of the best choices if you want an integrated grinder machine, imho. Not sure which bit you're referring to with your second paragraph, can you give me the time stamp please, maybe I was just talking nonsense ;-).
      Barista pro better than express impress? - Just depends on the user.
      What time of year might there be a bargain on the pro? Looks like pro is a good option….I think? - Hard to guess, but the pro is one of the machines that tends to be on offer the most, so you probably won't have to wait too long, especially if you're happy with black - personally I think black stainless and black truffle are way better looking than the silver ones.
      You're very welcome 🙂

      3mins 50secs in
      “Should you even go for for an integrated grinder machine if getting into the home barista hobby…that’s a contentious issue straight answer is probably not but for the price”
      This has me confused not sure if your saying to go for the pro or not? Just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row before I make the plunge. Sounds like you highly recommend the machine except for this line but not sure 😂 Im open to any of the machines whatever you'd suggest the most out of the sage!
      Thank you for the advice with black stainless vs normal stainless will go for the black stainless when see on offer :)

      @@user-cn7ep1us9j yeah basically what I'm saying is that if you're knowingly getting into the home barista hobby, any integrated grinder machine probably isn't the best idea. If you need to go integrated grinder for a specific reason, then the Pro is a good option, but I'd highly recommend thinking about starting out with a stand alone espresso machine and grinder.

    From reading reviews, I noticed that Machines with Milq system have a high rate of heat sensor failure. This will cause the Machine to stop functioning completely. Anyone has this experience? That stopped me from considering touch/ touch impress.

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hmm, new one on me. I get some about dose sensor faults out of the box, that's one I've heard a few times, also there have been a dodgy batch of top burrs at some point (so if it takes double the time it should to grind, you need a new top burr), not heard about the heat sensor failure.
