Also appreciate the time spent going through all of the coffee types. The measurements was an added bonus. A Like button is well deserved 👏🏻 Thanks for all the info!
Thanks for the great video. I have seen posts about problems with the screen showing error during frothing, and/or the frothing process stopping during heating. Have you experienced this issue?
i have not had this problem at all. i bought this machine back in early summer 2023 (when it first came out in the US) and it's still running strong. just had latte earlier this morning. hopefully it will continue to work for years to come.
Great demo and very informative. Do you need to leave the machine in standby mode to retain personal settings? Would like to switch off completely when not in use
I've had this machine for 6 months now and I love it, so glad I decided to spend the extra on the Touch Impress model. I usually use fresh beans but I was bought some non fresh beans and I found I couldn't knock them out the portafilter for some reason. I ended up having to use a blunt instrument to scrape them out, this was with the single and double walled insert. Not a big deal as I much prefer the organic fresh beans I have found from a local roaster that make the best coffee I have ever tasted. The weathers hot at the moment so I'm going to try doing a Caramel Frap tomorrow 🤤
we make ice coffee with the espresso, so good. yes sometimes the old grounds come out easy and sometimes it takes a few knocks. do you use a knock box?
@@HaiTech I don't have a knock box, in the uk we have food caddies that waste food goes in to be composted so I just knock it into that. It just strange that fresh beans come out with 1 knock every time but the older beans point blank refuse, I ended up knocking so hard the insert would fly out into the food caddy and I would have to fish it out. It could just be that brand of beans, like I said I usually stick to 1 brand of fresh.
@@beamer1001One of the main purposes of a knock box is to protect your portafilter. Banging it on hard surfaces like a waste bin will damage it over time. Highly recommend a knockbox so you can bang as hard as you like and not have to worry about damaging or being too loud thanks to the rubber.
Thank you for this video. It’s hard to tell from the video but I’m Wondering if a travel mug would fit where the cup goes and if so what would be the maximum height that would fit? Thanks
while i don't have a decibel reader the grinder is loud. if you still have other people in the house sleeping then you'd want to keep the doors closed. they can still hear it but it won't be as "annoying". or you can think of the grind as an alarm clock. if I hear my wife making a cup of coffee, i'm going to want one too.
Get a separate grinder that's quiet. On the more affordable side is the Kitchenaid espresso grinder Model KCG8433ER ($) and it's grinding at 67db. That's pretty quiet. Also couple others such as the Niche zero ($$) is also low db as is Versalab M4($$$$) and Hedone Honne grinder($$$).
change the water filter once every 3 months. do a group head cleaning when prompted on the screen, which is about every 3 months. i dump out the water in the drip tray every few days and clean it
no, this one can only do one at a time. you can have the milk ready and in place so that immediately after the espresso is finished the milk will be steamed. but it can not do both at the same time. the one that can do both is the Oracle
I have one of these and have definitely gone full coffee nerd with it and modded at this point but i love how i can have it set at the right settings for eceryone else in the house that doesnt want to be crazy lol I highly suggest getting a bottomless portafilter and a single dose attatchment as the machine isnt as consistent from just the hopper at least it wasnt for me but im a perfectionist

while i can't really compare the 2 since I have not used the DeLonghi. I'm guessing you're referring to the Eletta Explore? I will say that the Breville is a semi-auto machine and the Eletta Explore is a fully automatic. If you don't want to mess with any manual settings, get a fully automatic. When I first started looking for an espresso machine i was going to go with a fully automatic. not exactly sure why I didn't, but maybe in the near future someone will send me one and i'll make a video on it.

you control the amount of milk. yes, many drinks are actually very similar. the ratio or quantity of milk, espresso, froth is what makes them different. this website explains it very well: home.lamarzoccousa.com/the-beginners-guide-to-espresso-drinks-2/?srsltid=AfmBOopVbthX6CecMyQLpynj4ADoTkuvbsHLJnh29ULOkGvdHqeaHb4K hope that helps
I saw creamy coffee on your personal settings , could you please explain if its possible to brew a lungo or caffe crema with this machine ? lungo is noramlly 1:3 ratio and about 110ml ...
you will not be able to add hot water during the espresso extraction which is what a Lungo. You would be able to add hot water immediately after the espresso is excracted, which would be an Americano. does it taste any different? Caffe crema is a long espresso shot. Because this is a semi automatic the extraction time varies on the grind size. i find that if it's too coarse it extracts fast and in shorter time. i think caffe crema may be a bit harder to do with this machine, at least on a consistent basis.
Did you run each drink 1 after the other or did you rest the machine between each drink. I have heard the machine cant handle pulling multiple drinks in 1 go
i have made drinks for 4-5 people back to back with no issues at all. in this video i made all of those drinks back to back with short breaks between as i had to clean the portafilter, and prepare the next drink.
