glad i came accross your video. got mine 2 weeks ago. set it up the other day. looking forward to playing around with it. $2000.00 in Australia. i only brought it as i got $300. off on a special. otherwise i was goinr the express impress. but waited as i really wanted this one. thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed it. I had tremendous fun making the video and am shocked at how much better the coffee is than from my Keurig or even local chain coffee store. That said you Aussies have great local coffee shops. I was there a couple months ago and spent some time in Sydney.
Your video was such a great find!! We purchased this machine earlier today and tried a couple settings. Your video was so helpful and knowing you genuinely enjoy it makes me feel better about the purchase.
You want to disable the fact that it turns off after a little while? I dont know that you can hit am curious why, it only takes about 4 seconds to be ready to go after turning it on.
I use the double shot size and do a grind of 14, but i l have found that it depends on the beans, freshness and location of growing. It is crazy how it varies a bit but when you do your first couple of grinds, the screens will walk you through it, along with how to adjust it, if it brews too quickly or too slowly. It is pretty smart and lets me get great coffee without being a barista :).
You will have to let me know how you like them. I have absolutely loved mine. Funny anecdote, I have been visiting my dad the last month or so and without my machine here, I am back to Starbucks (not nearly as good as my machine) and the grocery store beans in a brew pot at Dads is nowhere close. Lol.
This is the one I like, and I like the rosewood handle for a better. They also have the clack standard handle. This is a 54mm bottomless portafikter. amzn.to/3W9DEjl
Yes, it got worse after I left my comment. We returned it and another will have to be shipped. The problem was clearly in the screen. The hot water dispenser was randomly turning on while grinding and I almost got burnt when it came on while putting the portifilter into the brewer. It would go to settings while you were in the middle of making a drink. I never made it to steam any milk. The touch screen was very unresponsive from the get go. I’m glad I watched your video for how it’s supposed to work. Hopefully they don’t ship me another lemon. We got it from Best Buy.
@@micheledillavou752Glad you were able to get it returned and didn’t get burned in any way. I suspect you wont get a lemon, I am assuming something damaged in shipping maybe. Glad the video helped. I have been at my father’s for the last 2 months with his health and I miss having really good coffee. Lol.
Geez, I just had my Dunkin Donuts K-Cup in the Keurig...I feel like a Neanderthal man now! That is an awesome machine for the hard-core coffee enthusiasts. As you pointed out, its perfect for hot chocolate too, which is a good selling point. I'd better dump my Starbucks stocks because if these catch on and become a little more affordable, look out! My youngest was on a three-time per day Starbucks kick for a few years, spending upwards of twenty bucks per day. That and cigarettes...what a tab she was ringing up. She finally quit smoking though! I can see your point from that perspective. This has the potential of saving you quite a bit in the long haul but is a initially a pretty significant investment. So, how much do you typically spend for the coffee beans from these specialty shops? Also, how did you decide on the purchase (brand), by Amazon reviews or your own research? Thank you for taking the time and effort to do this video. It obviously took a bit of work to get done. There's definitely a science to all that and a learning curve for sure! Be safe and be well!
I spend $15 or so per bag of coffee from my local roaster. That lasts me 8-12 days. I decode the coffee by trying different beans. I then rate them with a score so i know what ones i like best. I know, i nerd out on this. Lol

My man, Breville owes you big time that was an awesome video! My machine should be here in a few days. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ 🤗
I love mine and still have my 2 cappuccinos every morning (and sometimes a third or fourth. Lol). In the end I have saved money vs starbucks

What bottomless portafilter do you recommend

I just got mine yesterday and the screen changes on its own and won’t stay. I have no idea what’s going on.
Mine doesn’t do that, it sounds like something may ne wrong. I would return/replace it right away as that doesn’t sound right.
