CAMPING & HIKING IN THE TEXAS GRAND CANYON (Palo Duro Canyon State Park) | Texas Road Trip PART 2!

- Palo Duro Canyon State Park is one of the most underrated destinations I've EVER been to! It's the second-largest canyon in the United States and is a quick 45-minute drive from Amarillo. There's some awesome RV camping in Palo Duro (we stayed at Juniper campground), the hikes are absolutely STUNNING, and the mountain biking trails are epic.
We got up at sunrise and hiked the 5.8-mile Lighthouse Trail (bit.ly/3tdt2h8) to the iconic 300-foot Lighthouse Rock. Palo Duro is truly the hidden gem of Texas and I couldn't recommend it enough!
Curious what else we've been up to in Texas? Check out PART 1 of our Texas road trip! bit.ly/3taArxQ

➡ ABOUT ME
My name is Crosby and I am a freelancer and blogger currently working remotely and traveling the USA in a travel trailer with my boyfriend, Dylan! After a few corporate jobs throughout college, I quickly realized that the 9-5 lifestyle wasn’t for me. So I built up my freelance business, saved a bunch of money, and went on a 2-month Colorado road trip where I lived in my car while traveling and working remotely. Now, I’m traveling full-time in a travel trailer and sharing everything I learn on RUclips!
Be sure to subscribe here on RUclips and follow me on Instagram for daily updates! Thanks so much for watching!

Love following you, having a blast, enjoying life!😍
You guys are literally living my dream life! I love watching your videos!
Love your videos!! Hope to be doing the RV life soon!! Safe travels!!
Amazing!! Thank you!
Very cool video guys, I enjoy watching your videos and getting ideas of where to go, and what to do when I get my travel trailer. Also it’s cool to watch you guys having a good time traveling, getting to know our great nation! 👊🏻🇺🇸
I’m so glad you’re enjoying our journey!! It’s been so incredible getting to explore the country ❤️
We did a cross country trip a couple years ago and came across this park by accident. It a treasure.
Isn’t it so incredible?! I’m so glad we went
Cool! Palo Duro is where I got married almost 40 years ago, on the “Texas” stage! Beautiful place!
Another great video
Beautiful place! Thanks for sharing this with us
So glad you enjoyed! ❤️ Thanks for watching!
@@CrosbyGraceTravels you're welcome! We really enjoy making outdoor videos also
Cool, hoping to go in April.
Awesome video and good laugh at the beginning with the forgetting of clothes. Dylan is veryyyy understanding it seems. Ha..
Hahahah yep he is very patient with me thank the lord 😅
Estuve ahí hace un mes, me encantó. Nueva seguidora me gustan tus viajes.
So My wonderful wife and I are about an hour north of Dallas. I was researching Palo Duro and saw your video! Subscribed! We are looking to book in April. If you were looking to book again and could pick any specific site or loop (Mesquite, Sagebrush, Hackberry, or Juniper seem to be only RV loops) to book in PD, which would you choose and why? Any PD advice? We have a 30' KZ connect 241RLK TT.
My father-in-law had a saying, “if you watch your pennies, the dollars will take care of themselves!” I’m proud of you Dylan.
May I offer a slight suggestion?
Get another hose for the black water flushing. I've watched some serious 🤢 stuff being connected to those taps that you do not want anything that goes to fresh water to get near. I got an orange one and just keep it dedicated for that purpose.
Great to see guys out and about enjoying the 17MKE. Ours is sitting under a cover (not a carport type but actual fabric one) waiting till July for our next adventure.
Stay safe!
Thank you for the advice! We do that already, don’t worry 🙌 We don’t want anything gross going near our water either!
Can you guys post links to your footage gear in your future video descriptions? Camera, drone?
Watching your videos back to back 🤠
Yes!! Thank you for watching!
07:32 I don't see the sign? "If you see my trailer rocking, don't come a knocking". Cheezzze need to get some z's. Some say there's a lot of cool graffiti at the very top of the lighthouse rock.
Now that you've got the Light House trail out of the way, there are so many other great hikes in the canyon on your next trip.
I can’t wait to try them out! Which ones do you recommend?
@@CrosbyGraceTravels My hikes are all off trail. Some harder than others. Red Canyon, Devils Tombstone, Burnt Draw, Tub Springs, North Spur all are great. Some harder than others. Here's my highlights from last year. It does a good overview of some of the better places. Some are on private land, some are in the other state park in the panhandle (Caprock Canyons, you much go here also), and some we don't give out locations because of stupid hikers might die or ruin the sites. ruclips.net/video/IBn3WlRUuG0/видео.html
Love this! His drone probably didn’t work bc I’m almost sure you need a permit to fly one in any Texas park
Y’all are cute. Great video!
How did the pillows turn out? did you fiber fill?
I got some pillow inserts and they work great!
Are all the sites pull through?
I think most of them were in juniper campground!
Is your jeep grand Cherokee a v6 or v8?
V8
Gas was $2.74. Was this made a thousand years ago? 😃 😀 😄
What do you guys do for income?
Here are a couple videos I've made on this! ruclips.net/video/5ClHBZ96FcY/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/WQqxLpnBTos/видео.html
You guys are cute, I love the loving vibe you give.
Thank you!! ❤️
What’s your fans only site? 😬
If camping there in a tent, you need to watch out for the raccoons, who will get into all your stuff at night! They raided our cooler and stole our weinies, took a bite out of each one and scattered them all over the campsite. 😮
