    Smart move backing out of the black diamond trail. Vehicle damage isn't uncommon on those even for built out Jeeps and smaller platforms compared to your truck. Hope you enjoyed Merus and come back to enjoy it again! The blue difficulty guided tours on Saturdays is a great way to see a lot of the park. There is a resident mountain lion lurking around the park, so you're gf might get her wish granted next time y'all visit lol
    To answer when we get water down in the canyon: we get crazy thunderstorms and the canyon floods like crazy. I think Merus probably still has the videos from last year on their instagram of when the entire basin was basically a river.

      Yea I’m not sure if any full size rig can make it through a black trail, and I definitely wasn’t going to try after hearing How much a tow bill can be lol I’m for sure gonna come back and run some green and blue trails though. Merus is a special place, I hope it’s around for a long time!

      @@GearUpAndGo23 we typically go once in winter and once in summer. I have two little ones and Red River is an easy town with kids.
