This is just a suggestion but I highly recommend you go to the ceiling with your shelving. It will save you from having another place where dust can build up and nobody enjoys having to get a ladder/chair to dust things off or just dust in general.

Get the labels from namebubbles my son had had them on his clothes.. shoes.. lunchbox.. cups.. bento box… nap mat.. everything for 5 years and they are amazing. He has non verbal autism so everything has to be labeled and those are a amazing ❤

Regarding the window seat, I would check the height especially so there's a good view still while sitting (consider what padding your popping on top too, is it thick or thin) but also that the width is decent so no-ones butts sliding off. I had a weirdly high bed as a kid, absolutely no problems getting in/out.Hopefully it gets done without a hitch 🤞
I feel ya about the candles but my addiction is spices from Penzey’s. They have such great sales and freebies weekly.
Measure from the floor to the knee and you have a height for the window seat. Maybe make it a few inches taller so she wont grow out of it

I suspect... after wondering for about 5s 😂 so high science here... I suspect that kids say Dada first (Papa in my language) because they think Mama is themselves so why would you call yourself? Let's call that other person who sleeps at night and enjoys the days 🤣while I - meaning me & Mama - stay awake at all times and I - me the baby alone - can't sleep more than 10 minutes while my other half - Mama - is roaming around the house w/o me! 🤣 It is both the cutest thing in humanity and the hardest!
Also... have you tried sitting the boy in the front sit? I'm thinking he might see you and you might touch him at the red light and that might make him feel safer in the car. He might be too big already as he's supposed to sit backwards to the road but try that.
Definitely raise the window seat up some. There were so many times I sat on mine and watched out the window when I was doing homework or thinking.

The window seat should be high enough so she can see out the window when she’s sitting there, even if she needs a step to get up there.

About the window seat, my only thought about it being raised is you want to make sure there’s enough clearance. If you want to add one of those seat cushions, and or throw pillows, you don’t want the pillows to be covering up the window and your natural light also, if someone goes to sit on the bench, you don’t want them leaning against the window either, so you just kind of want to measure all that out. Just my 2 cents! :-)

Love the inside wardrobe designs. For your girls cupboards I would take it to the ceiling to look more built in. Women collect a lot of things. The centre bench part should be like a bench seat so she can sit and read or draw etc. The boys design looks great

The way you made the brownie mix in this video is how I make it, and using milk instead of water and butter instead of oil, it does taste way better
Crazy I just saw a silk pie recipe on Pinterest and was thinking about trying it because we get the freezer silk pie by I think like Marie Calendar once a month for desserts And it’s so good but it’s now like $15 to buy! These seemed cheaper. You’ve made up my mind for me! I’m making them tomorrow 😁

If you put a four-six inch foam cushion on the love seat, she would be able to see out the windows. I live in a 100 + year old Craftsman and we have two window seats.

Since there are a age difference in your kids instead doing a secret door, have you thought of a built in desk, or a area playstation for video games if he likes that sort of thing? A window seat with storage? Shelves.? Just a thought. Love your channel and seeing the house and seeing your family and the food or house hauls!!!!

A comfortable bench height is around 18” when you’re looking at her room:) Hope that helps! Sometimes 20 with storage or a cushion on top.

I had an apartment with one room with two walls with like four shelves into wall and it was so nice to look and have shorts and pants and shirts stock and I could just look so easily gone to pick out what I wanted to wear
School is cancelled due to a bit of rain(welcome to NC), I’m up trying to get myself together before my 3 in-home hurricanes wake up, THIS is exactly what I needed before my house becomes chaotic!

Hi Kim, for Wentworth's closet, replace the botton rack with shelves that can fit the target/ikea cubes to put his clothes in that you don't hang. Measure it all out ahead of time to try to get the maximum storage space.

My 8mo is the same! I devote my entire life to taking care of her and she will lovingly stare me in the eyes and say Dada 🫥 But I know she calls everyone she loves Dada, even her sisters. She's working on dada, mama, and baba sounds. Love it!

This is somewhat controversial, but I would give Wolfgang a tablet, with a learning video, to watch, while in the car. We allowed our kids to only use their Gameboys (a century ago), while on trips of an hour or longer, so it would be exciting and new, and they wouldn't become addicted to screen time. It doesn't seem like you have your children watch TV or videos that often, so allowing him an educational show, while in the car, may help. He may suffer from car sickness, or the car seat may burn him, because of the Florida heat. Maybe cover his car seat with a blanket, while in a store with him,so he doesn't get burned by his car seat. We live in Ohio, and our granddaughter always cried, when she was put into her car seat. We found out later, how much her car seat heated up, while we were at a park or restaurant. That broke our hearts, to know she was in pain, and couldn't tell us. We started covering her seat, and cooling down the car, before putting her, or her brother, in their car seat in the summer!
BTW....My daughter is at the hospital, now, having their 3rd child, our 6th grandchild! My daughter wanted a September baby, but called last night, for us to keep our phones on, because she was having contractions. She said the stupid full, new, blue, moon is messing up her plans!! My husband went over, until the kids woke up. Our 2-year old granddaughter woke up at 6:15, and was resting on the couch, when she heard her 5-year old brother on the monitor. My husband told them they could have a "sleepover" together, and once in bed, he heard Samuel, on the monitor, excitedly tell Emma, "We're getting a baby!". He told his mom, a couple weeks ago, that he's glad he's a boy, because he doesn't have to have a baby, because THAT WOULD HURT A LOT!!". From the mouths of Babes!

The year after Wentworth was born so 2017 was when that cold front hit Florida, l remember you wore a coat to go car/van shopping and Wentworth was still a baby or at least little at the time. Ive been hanging out here far to long. 😅

Kim, anything with stainless steel interior needs to have a cleaning tab put through a wash cycle once in a while, including your washer. Helps with the collective smells that stainless steel gets coated with. Doesn’t matter if the washer or dishwasher are always going through wash cycle. It’s just smells that accumulate on the stainless steel coating. You can order the washer and dishwasher cleaning tabs online or even get them on at Home Depot. Sometimes that’s why, when you say your laundry room smells or even your clothes smells that’s why. Leaving your washer lid open also will help negate the washer odor longer. This is the info I was given when we bought new appliances. Hope the info helps.❤
My son cried in the car his entire first year. It was miserable going anywhere. When he turned one I turned his car seat around to face forward and he never had an issue again. I know you’re supposed to wait until they are two to turn them around so don’t come for me. 😂

Mom fail or the day was forgetting to pack my sons drink in his lunch box- he’s a kindergartener! No worries though, I ran it up to the school in time 😅 ugh! I’m just glad I remembered! Please tell me I’m not the only one this has happened to!
Towels... I only use white vinegar and it does the job. Even if it already smells suspect. It turns out perfect and you don’t smell vinegar once it’s completely dry.

Waittt. Why did he lie to you? It’s 10000% going to stain 🙃 a year into my new house and what a mistake. Funny b/c last video when I heard you mention the grey grout I was thinking how genius. But he s a liar. It’s just my us and in our shower and it stains from shower gel and everything 😭
1 of my 3 daughters used to cry every time she was in the car. She was also by far the clingiest, meaning she wanted to be attached to me for sleeping, eating, everything. What finally ended up working was to put a picture of me on the back of the seat for her to look at when we were in the car that way she could see (me ?)and I would sing songs or talk to her but it worked she quit crying when we got in the car. I know I know it seems really silly but whatever works right?😂🤣😂🤣

Aww I hate to say this but children grow up & still cry & it does get better with being independent, but the hardest part for us moms is when our children grow up, lol. I am one of those people....I wash my sheets once a week and I have 4 kids, and I washed their sheets once a week, too, when they were still at home. But no judgment here....everybody does what they are comfortable and have time for.
Curious about the Lysol sanitizer. So is it sake to use on colors, or would you sticky use it on towels and such. Is there a chance of “bleaching” your clothes??
