Temu is basically like Shein.
If something is unbelievably cheap for you, a different person in the supply chain has to pay for it in some way (terrible/no payment, child labor, hazardous materials, inhumane work conditions etc.)

Temu (similar to Shein) produce their products in MASS quantities while paying their employees incredibly low wages. It encourages even more consumerism, especially in our country, which already has incredibly high rates of consumerism. Everything is so affordable, but at what cost? It might be SUPER cheap, even cheaper than goodwill these days! But there is a reason they can price these items so low. And it isn’t good. You know the saying, “if it’s too good to be true, most of the time it’s not”.
Yes most everything is made from China. Walmart and most other big chain stores (small too) are no exception. You can only do so much to keep from supporting these types of extremely harmful outsourcing/mass production practices. But sites like Temu are on the TOP of the list for the most harmful.
Love you Kim! Definitely do some research on this company to decide for yourself how you feel. ❤
So true. Only one youtuber I follow (Caroline Winkler) posted an apology for her viewers after researching them. Two other ytubers never addressed their sponsorship with Temu, even after many viewers spoke up immediately. Once Kim researches them, she'll be well informed.

What are you using to watch this video? An iPhone? It's assembled in China with parts made in China, in Shenzhen where most products on Temu, Wish, AliExpress, are made and ship from as well. What about your car? Most parts in vehicles are made in China. Do you get clothes from Target? Made in China. The computer you use? Parts manufactured in China. There's a reason why global supply chains are so affected and prices increase when there are crises in China, so many of the products we use have parts made there.
As well as everything bought in Amazon. A lot of it is stuff from these sites just with higher prices.
Kim, why don't you value yourself enough to go get a professional haircut? You set a great example in so many areas of your life, and obviously you like your hair, as you have had the same style for years. You do all the things, all the time. Why is it so difficult for you to make a hair appointment and go get a style consult? You aren't a hairstylist. Do some research and seek a professional that specializes in long hair, and make an appointment. You have been using the same excuses to not seek out a professional for years. It is time!!

Please enlighten me how they’re worse than Amazon or Walmart? I don’t understand.
The scale with which they produce is infinitely higher than Wal-Mart (yeah, for real!) and they basically use slave labor (like shein). Obviously places like Wal-Mart aren't fantastic, either, but I'd rather but from them than temu or shein. I know when claims to only put like 10% of what they make directly into landfill, but when they make millions of pieces per day, it means the waste is 10s higher than the next highest waster. I haven't seen temus numbers because I haven't looked ,but with the amount being produced, it's going to be similar.

Is hit or miss. I tried some clothes and the quality was awful. I stopped buying from the site because a lot of people were saying it's used as a spy app. Not sure if it's true, but I decided it wasn't worth it.... lol

Sorry but everyone selling out to work with temu when they're slave labor driven and are 100% selling crap that gets thrown out really fast, aiding in destroying the environment (the same as shein), is super disappointing. I just looked up about temu on google and very controversial arguments but it said it was illegal to buy from a company in the Xinchiang region in China which is where forced labor is done. And said some things about tax issues. . And mainly im against any country that supprts other countries to go against America.

Temu has copped a lot of heat for the data it collects and the fact that its parent company, PDD Holdings, is based in China. In fact, many have argued that the app is designed as spyware rather than an online shopping platform.

For my daughter’s first birthday we did a couple minimal decorations (balloons, streamers you know, the basic stuff) and a “smash cake” with her grandparents and a couple gifts we had chosen for her. That was pretty much it. Extremely low key but still felt like she was being celebrated. I don’t regret it at all, I had NO bandwidth at the time and it hit the sweet spot of not being too much for me but not leaving me feeling guilty of not properly celebrating her 1st birthday.
I love watching your videos but, Temu is like shein and there are some reports that the reason they’re super cheap is because of they don’t pay much their workers. Plus, they’re quality sucks. Please stop advertising this trashy companies.

I’m all for sponsored content but Temu definitely seemed out of place in comparison to the selling points and values of the companies you usually partner with. Might be worth it to look into them a little further before continuing to support them.

The reason Temu is so cheap is because of how little they pay the workers who make all of these items. Imagine struggling to get by, and needing to send your children or yourself to factories in horrible conditions to make a few cents or dollars if you’re lucky. That’s why you can get a water bottle for a dollar. Temu, Shein, Wish. All horrible. The prices look too good to be true because they’re horrific for someone else. 🙁 Not upset at you in any way; just food for thought in the future.

I've ordered from Temu and was disappointed with the quality. There are a few items that are tempting though.

First, No judgement on what you decide. In my opinion the birthday should be about the child and a 1 year old can't truly enjoy Disney for what it is, they aren't old enough. A family party full of things they can play with and people who want to interact with them is where it's at, for me.

I have an awesome from scratch GF Brownies recipe:
1 cup Tahini
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tbsp Coconut flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup chocolate chips
dump in all in mix and cook at 350 for 22-30 minutes! Delicious hubby approved! Try it, you'll like it! Doesn't taste like tahini at all.
