  • You know Sentinel? The robot that gives and probably gave everyone hell in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, respectively?
He first started his history in this game as a playable character before MvC2 finally brought him back. Did you know that his design in these games are exclusive thanks to Capcom?
Sentinel is the closest thing you had in this game to a huge, powerful villain that wasn't Juggernaut. So many of his attacks, even his normal ones, hit really hard, even though he can be kinda slow at times.
Two things I didn't know from Capcom's Marvel fighters beyond this one is that he can charge his Plasma Storm super by pressing buttons, changing it from yellow, to pink, to purple, to dark-purple before unleashing. If you keep pressing buttons after unleashing it, you may shoot more at your opponent depending on how long it's been charged. That said, good luck using the full, maximum power of this move on any competent player.
Another thing I didn't know is that Sentinel has a unique victory animation where the robot will store the fallen mutant in a bubble, and then fly await with it. It only happens twice in this video, but it's pretty cool to see.
    --------------
Although the Sentinels count as villains, they are robots that were specifically made to hunt down mutants in X-Men. This didn't just include the X-Men, themselves, but also Magneto and anyone that sided with him, since they still count as mutants with superpowers, too.
In Sentinel's ending, he has just defeated Magneto, who is furious that he just got beaten by a human-made machine. He wants to build a world where mutants rule over humans, so this was not a good situation for him to be in.
Before Sentinel proceeds to capture Magneto, Magneto blows up the Avalon, forcing Sentinel to retreat and return to his base of Genosha with the rejoin his other Sentinel brethren. They then proceed to eliminate any more mutants that they can find. The playable Sentinel then soars through the skies, quickly finding and eliminating Storm with one blow. Then he returns to Genosha, again.
Now, with all of the mutants gone, the Sentinels plan their next mission: DESTROY ALL HUMANS!
Why? If there are no humans, then there can be no more mutants born, developed, or created by them. The Sentinels have already killed all of the mutants, now they just want to make sure no more pop up!
    --------------
This is my last playthrough of this game with a normal playable character. If I am to make anymore involving playing as Juggernaut, Magneto, and even... AKUMA! Then I'd have to put in a little more effort to make that possible.
Stay turned for when that happens!
