    I've been listening to this song for 14 years of my life. Incredible medication, this unrepeatable sound from 2000. I bought Metalhammer magazine in Spain and this appeared on the compilation, what magic.

      I saw this band open for Coal Chamber and Type O Negative back during the year 2000 in Northeast, Ohio. Such an amazing concert! Full Devil Jacket and The Deadlights also played that night.

      I remember being tired of nu metal in 2003, but now, I miss it. Plus now, rock is all but dead in the mainstream. Everything's pop now.

    Along with Snot, everytime I listen to their songs, I hope that by some miracle an alternate universe will appear where they put out more records. Nothing groundbreaking, but at the same time the music has tension and personality. See you in the alternate universe one day.

    • @LeadMe2TheBliss

      Yes, Snot! I remember buying their album from Best Buy before the Ozzfest 1998 tour even started. I remember I kept telling my older brother not to miss Snots set at Ozzfest 1998 (Unfortunately I was still in Middle School and too young to attend a concert like Ozzfest) but the FIRST thing he said to me when he got home from Ozzfest 1998 was "Snot was amazing" I just remember him talking about Snot... haha that is a special memory I had with my older brother. I was the younger one, but I was still the one informing him about the newest, most groundbreaking bands!

      I know right? I had tickets to them and Gravity Kills back in the day. Sadly, Gravity Kills canceled the show the day before due to the bassist/keyboardist breaking his finger in a previous show. Even worse GK and Medication both broke up months later so I never got to see either of them. =(

    Poor Whit man. Just can't seem to hit it big no matter how good the music is. I just listened to this album and I love it. Its like the best aspects of Nu-Metal without the cliches.
    If you like this check out Another Animal. Its more Grunge heavy but its one of my favorite albums ever.

    • @weisswurstfruhstuck8523
      @weisswurstfruhstuck8523 Год назад +1

      Thanks for the Clou. The problem with his bands were always that they were too average. Never bad. But never one song that got a hit. Nothing that really stayed long enough in your ears and brain.
      The another animal album remembers me a lot of the John Bush era in anthrax which for me personally was one of the biggest musical influences of my lifetime.

    • @rawkguy4896
      @rawkguy4896 Год назад +1

      @@weisswurstfruhstuck8523 I personally don't think Medication or Another Animal were average. Blabbermouth actually gave Medication's album a really stellar review and even the normally harsh Metalsucks spoke well of Another Animal.
      I think its just bad luck and a mixture of Ugly Kid Joe's reputation. I think because Ugly Kid Joe was seen as a joke band a lot of people write off his more serious work. "When you're a clown, nobody takes you seriously" that type of thing.

    • @weisswurstfruhstuck8523
      @weisswurstfruhstuck8523 Год назад +1

      @@rawkguy4896 not average. That’s the wrong word. But not enough that really sticks. And not enough promotional financial background there too most likely. On the other hand you gotta see it like that: if they gotten big at some time they would have sucked as they all do. So we at least have a little hidden gem that not everyone knows and is played 20 times per hour on the radio.
      Has another sort and kinda value like that.
      It’s somehow still underground therefore it stays a gem always.

    • @rawkguy4896
      @rawkguy4896 Год назад +1

      @@weisswurstfruhstuck8523 100% agree on the promotional aspect. Medication's record label literally went bankrupt right as the band was about to tour I think, and Universal likely didn't promote Another Animal as much as they should have because Godsmack was their cash cow.
      I kind of agree on the second part. I think there's plenty of amazing and deservedly mainstream bands but you have a point. Look at Godsmack. Every member of that band is talented but they have to cookie cutter rock like 1000hp and Bulletproof for the radio. Even that new song Surrender sounds completely castrated compared to Fall of Rome by Another Animal. Their last song ever no less.
      You make some great points sir! Definitely a refreshing talk from the usual comments I stumble across on RUclips.

      @@rawkguy4896 hehe thanks for the compliment. Yeah played myself long time in bands and know how difficult and frustrating this business is usually. Had my own label even for some bands. But these days I just play for myself at home and realize more and more how it goes worse and worse these days.
      These cash cow bands and artists as you named them correctly are getting more and more like prostitutes. Even the most so called underground bands try so hard to sound like their sub genre. I am usually terribly bored by the new music coming out.
      Or I am just getting old 😅😌😂
      If you wanna listen to one of my last bands I mostly did all myself in including the label and all that crap here’s a link. Maybe you can enjoy a few songs even ;)

      And one later song that didn’t got recorded ever properly. There you definitely can hear my John bush wannabe attitude when singing😂
