[GMS Reboot] Familiars, a quick how-to + tips

A quick familiar rundown. TL;DW:
* Kill 4500 mobs while familiars are summoned to level from 1-5.
* Rare-Epic requires 100 familiar exp and tier up rate is 80%, Epic-Unique requires 150 familiar exp and tier up rate is 40%. Each time you fail, half of the familiar exp gauge is emptied.
* From commons/grays: get two 15%ied and one "Increases Item Drop Rate by a Small Amount" (30%)
* From rares/blues: get "Increases Drop Rate" (50%)
* From epics/purples: get "Increases Item Drop Rate by a Large Amount" (100%), 30/20 boss/ied
* From uniques/yellows: 40/35/30 boss/ied, double hp regen familiars
Anecdotally, two of my characters have seen unique large drop on the second line before seeing it from epic. If you have a 50% drop rate familiar already, I would go ahead and tier all your epics to uniques. -- Watch live at / perhapsody

Bro wtf, you really have 17k Nodestones chilling in your storage... Any tips on how and where to farm them efficiently ? I have 160% drop but I feel like it's still slow af

Highly recommend getting max drop! At 28k mobs/hr I get around 35-40 an hour. Try to maximize kill rate for higher output.

Excuse me what's the % drop rate cap from familiars? i mean, can i stack 3 familiars with "Increase item by a large amount"?

They don't stack! If you equip multiple, the largest of the sources is applied. For example: "Increases Item Drop Rate by a Large Amount" (100%) and "Increases Item and Meso Drop Rate by a Large Amount" (60%/60%) will give you 100% item drop rate and 60% meso bag drop rate.
Separate from this category includes "Item Acquisition +10%" which do stack up to equipment cap (200% from equipment + 100% large drop = 300% drop, but any additional item acq will not go beyond 300%).

Any rarity from the same monster, yes. There is also a 'fauxmiliar' card you can buy for 5000 familiar points which offers 15 (?) points to any familiar, only useful for tiering up event familiars. I wouldn't recommend doing this.

@@michaelbell8451 If you're in interactive worlds, you can only tier up to legendary through red cards, as far as I know.

Is there any other mobs that drop familiars in arcane river other then esfera?

All maps in Arcane River above and including Morass drop familiars, except Sellas.

So unique is the highest for reboot? And you cant reroll a unique familiars lines?

Yes for both. "Rerolling" = revealing new cards. Reboot rarely gets red cards--last few was from the Goo Island update from JMS.

why use increase meso drop rate familliar for farming?

To maximize damage in grandis, I use 3 equip swaps only: 40meso ring, 40meso pendant, 20drop/20meso earring. Drop rate from familiars don't affect meso bag drop rate, so I use the familiar shown in this video for meso bag drop rate.

I have been playing for about a year now, but my main problem is farming all these blue familiar cards. If I am training in esfera for about 2 hours, Ill maybe get like 5-10 rare cards on max drop rate. Are there any efficient ways to farm these blue cards?

I'm not sure if Morass/Esfera familiars have lower drop rates than Tenebris, but at max drop rate I usually get 770 common and 130 blue per 2 hours at around 25k mobs kills per hour.
Since you're max drop rate already, the only way to get more is to improve your farming rotation (I'll probably make a video on this too in the future). :)

You can, but it's exclusive to the second line for uniques.

Currently, it's Kanna. However, post Kishin removal, your main is your best farmer.

The familiar needs to be level 5 to enable tier up (which is honestly the most annoying part of the familiar system).
