Appreciate the time, money, effort, and thought put into this video and previous larger polisher videos. Solid research in the real world
Scott your content keeps getting better and better. Great Job! Love the data and graphics!
Thank you!
Superb review.
Expensive little buggers. As usual super job on the video!! Thanks
Very nice video, thank you for your time.
My god. Amazing content. Amazing !!!!!!
Thank you!
This IS the most detailed and comprehensive polish tool comparison i've ever seen, corded or cordless. Scott thank you again and again for this shootout. The cost to do this type of review has to be staggering. Really a pretty selfless act to promote the passion of detailing and help folks getting started out (and others).
Thanks homeslice!
Damn covered all the bases, hats off to you, the wifey and ur team for all the effort and time u put in! Im in the market for 3 +- inch polisher and looking towards the rupes nano or their lhr75e or the flex pxe. Need ur feedback or advice...thanks again for making these videos!
Absolutely amazing, detailed video about mini polishers. Instant sub. Was going to buy the shinemate mini & after seeing this decided not to. Money saved !
Wow, what an amazing video!! Thanks for making. Great info. I would love to buy the Mirka but not at that price. I have to save a while but when I do I will use your link. Appreciate the great effort and video!
Much appreciated!
For anyone considering these tools the PXE also has a after market 2 inch plate and extension and cone pads from a company called APS for ultimate versatility. I have them all. Very good purchases.
1 machine: 1 inch, 2 inch and 3 inch and in any crevice you can find pretty much!!
Just absolutely killing these breakdowns Scott, huge thank you! The pro feedback is awesome too. 👍👌
I'm pretty much sold on the PXE now. I wish that Mirka wasn't so damn sexy though, love the quality look to it. If it was black and closer to $500 I'd probably already have one ordered. The fact that a smooth quiet little cordless has the power to just decimate quality foam pads like that is actually kinda awesome and inspires hope for a powerful cordless full size. They make it in a rotary version too. Looks like Mirka is one we want making a cordless full size.
The Mirka is tempting, but way overpriced and it has no ventilation so longevity could be a concern. I purchased the PXE and it's just amazing. I am a FLEX fan and have two XC-3401's, a PE 14-1 Rotary and now this little gem, the PXE.
The are built like trucks. Tough and depandable.
The amount of aftermarket kits for the pxe is insane, rotory different size plates, DA different size plates, extension bars, handheld cone extensions for under door handles, etc...etc... compared to the mirka, your stuck with a DA 3 inch polisher and literally nothing else, with the mirka.
Great content. I love the PXE. It's been a killer tool in the shop. Really nice for today's cars that have insane shapes and angles.
Agreed. It packs quite the punch!
For polishing, it’s cool, but doesn’t have the power for correcting hard paint.
@@marksafady1059all acu polishers arent for paintcorrection. But to light polishing before wax are cordless great. Maybe for 2nd, 3rd step.
Ur doing polishing before waxing 1x- 2x max 3x per year on one car, paintcorrection 1-2x , max 3x on 1 car before new paintjob.
Cordless is must have if no problem with money 🙂
I've been eyeing the Flex for quite some time as I already have the XFE cordless. As for the PXE, it goes to speed 3 only if you turn it off from speed 4. It'll memorize whatever setting you had it if it was 3 or lower previously. I believe is was in an interview video I watched that they said it goes back down from 4 to 3 to try and alleviate product sling.
u r right , the restart would be lower than 4 speed which is more safety
That's alot of work testing it lol .. thumbs up😊
Good video. Love your in depth style. I would love a Mirka, but not now. My PXE is a wonderful tool. Add the extension and the extension/collet adapter and you have even more versatility!!!
Wow this video needs more views
The on off trigger on the Flex is goofy. It’s nice you have a really slow speed, but the rocker part is hard to use. No really issues with the speed control on top. The Flex is great for the quick connect for accessories. I just bought the Mirka as well for just a dedicated 3” as it’s so smooth for long term. I skipped on buying the stupid Rupes “stilletto “ lol. I have the Rupes Nano, which is great for a 1”, but it’s hard to keep it running.
Very nice, your thoughts on power between the Shinemate vs Flex ?
Amazing review, love to hear your preference between buying a Mirka vs HLR75 rupes ?
I probably pulled the spta apart to check it like I seen people to with like the Bauer corded
Hey Scott, wanted to know, do you feel like a machine with lower frequency and higher decibel is going to be easier on the ears than a machine with higher frequency and lower decibel? I bought a low decibel, high frequency vacuum and I almost feel like the higher decibel, low frequency vacuum I had before bothered my ears less. Let me know! Thanks.
🤞Mirka sees this and adds quick detach and trigger lock.
Mirta needs to make a full size polisher and I'd probably end up buying it, whatever the cost! (Assuming it would be like this little one!)
@@ScottHD i can't believe how quiet that thing is!!!
@@bbdetailing9123 man I was blown away by it.
Scott, if you going to do another compound comparison video, please consider to include farecla g3 premium against a 3d one and sonax all in one.
Will do. Thanks!
Waiting to see if you will do 1” mini polisher
It's on the long list, but I'm waiting to see what this years "SEMA releases" will be from any other companies for those.
i brought rupes nano ibrid while back i went for that model cause of "rupes" being a good make ... first time useing it its crap it got no power it kepted cutting out even if i added a bit of pressure i sold it week after then i got flex pxe 80 its on levels 💪
Hi Scott, this isn't DA related or a ceramic product, but I would love to see how Griot's Liquid Gloss Poly Wax (10916) stands up to other coatings. I've had good experiences with the product, but never see it being used online!
I'll check that out for a future test! Thank you!
I have cordless ratched from Batavia tools and the battery looks the same as the spta
As before... great content. One question though, did you not know about Griot's 3" or was it unavailable?
The griots is in line with the Rupes ibrid nano. Sort of a different category than those tested. I still may test it later as there are a few in that category (SPTA makes one as well as others)
Edit>> Adams swirl killer is in that category too
Where is the new ceramic coatings update? I need my fix 🤣
hi can you compare griots garage micro polisher and ruper hlr75 and flex pxe80
any thoughts on the rupes bigfoot nano ?
The reason the Mirka has Bluetooth is for companies or individuals who need that data to see their exposure, which I'm guessing is for regulations in some countries for worker safety.
Do a 1-2” cordless battle with the spta micro, Adam’s micro, rupes ibrid!
The Flex does 1" as well.
Hey Scott do you have an affiliate link if someone wanted to buy polishers like the mirka? Just want to honor the source
Unfortunately no - it appears to be sold directly through their few distributors.
If You wanted to sell the shinemate. I’d be interested. Ive been in the market for. Cordless 3inch polisher.
The flex is a versatile tool but it isn’t great at one thing. If I have a need for a 3” I’m picking up my electric lhr75 or pneumatic version
As thorough as this was, you had one $40 unit and 3 $400-$700 units. Are there any units in the $100-$200 range? If I was getting paid to polish people's cars, it would be sensible to splurge. But for the guy working in his garage, or buffing non automobiles (ie electric guitars), what is there in the 3" line that's available, and affordable?
Mikwalkee m12 75mm polisher is really good (cordless)
And the standard milwaukee polisher that's mains plug in rotary is also great I've used these both for years nice little combo.
@@chrisa6845 The M12 one isn’t a dual action polisher. Just rotary.
Scott are you guys still using the Mirka nd how is it holding up?
Absolutely. Holding up great - only downside other than not having a trigger lock is that it doesn't have soft start, so we've flung several pads across the shop starting it out several times!
@@ScottHD I bought one since it is buy once cry once.
Hey Scott, if I can get my hands on that Mirka (giveaway) i'd love to take it off your hands! (i pay for shipping) - in exchange I can make a video for you including 2 Mirka sanders (both have polishing uses) Deros 77mm and 150mm, if that ever becomes a part of any segment you're going to test.
Let me know if you are interested in that :)
Best regards from Europe - Slovenia.
Mirka for the W
It's pretty impressive!
