    People who say Beyonce is overrated are either jealous, hate her for various reasons, or do not understand the complexity of her music and how hard many of her songs are. Her vocal control is out of this world!! Even her hip hop songs contain some difficult and complex vocals and ad libs. But you have to a musical ear to catch it.

      Modern blues singers can do that, but the general U.S. audience hates modern blues. Billboard even dumped blues in with the alternative charts. Billboard doesn't even have a song category for blues. That's probably why people in the U.S. don't hear that kind of singing by living people anymore. In 1993, a girl group which would become Destiny's Child performed. Another performer, Beth Hart also performed. Beth won in her singing category and became an industrial favorite (listened to such artists as Slash, Miley Cyrus, Black Sabbath, Lana Del Rey and the singer of Imagine Dragons) and blues queen. Meanwhile in Europe:

      @curlyxvoun2605 5 лет назад +90

      Bucketbothead007 “better than Beyoncé” yeah keep dreaming hunny. Maybe you should checkout all of Beyoncé’s best vocal performances. Her many different scales of runs, healthy growls, high notes(for a mezzo that gives a lot of these sopranos a run for their money), low notes, volume control, breath control, support, range, operatic head voice that’s fully developed, pitch, and much more skills are on a master type of level. She hasn’t really been showing off her full capabilities as a vocalist these past few years so that’s why a lot of y’all don’t really know how much of a impressive vocalist she is with many many skills!

    • @Bucketbothead007
      @Bucketbothead007 5 лет назад +5

      @@curlyxvoun2605 I know what she can do, it's her tone & too much vocal gymnastics to the point of overkill that I don't like. Master level? lol It's fine that you feel the way you do, good for you, I don't have a problem with how you feel. Beyonce wishes she had the soul in her voice that Shemekia does. Everyone in the world is not a Beyonce fan, you do realize that, don't you?

    Beyoncé & Gary fit together so easily here, but funny enough she’s worked with Ed three times now; here, a Drunk In Love acoustic and Perfect Duet. I think Ed was selected because of his personal tribute to Stevie Wonder during his performances when he prerecorded each segment of Stevie’s Song. Ed killed that performance! Once upon a time, many years ago ( I think that it was back in the '80s sometime.) I was in Baltimore, MD at the old Lyric Theatre to see a performance of South Pacific with Mary Martin and Robert Goulet. Mom, Richard, our friend, and I stood out on the sidewalk. All of a sudden, Richard burst out, "Hey! I hear somebody singing.". So we went around the theatre building and, sure enough, we heard a man's voice emanating from a third-story window. It was none other than Robert Goulet, his very self, doing what every great artist does; practice his instrument. It was "cool" to have experienced that. Have a nice day.

    Jennifer Hudson - Simply Beautiful (Al Green Tribute) - 2014 Kennedy Center Honors. Possibly Jennifer's best live performance ever. Certainly my favorite. A masterclass of vocal control (and lots for a skilled vocal coach to talk about). Tara, please add this one to your reaction list. You'll be glad you did! Love you!

    Ed Sheeran has always been reserved and likes to hide behind his guitar. Whereas Gary uses his guitar as a more outward performance. So Beyonce and Gary were definitely the lively ones and Ed was a bit misplaced. Adam Levine could've been fun though

      no shade to Adam Levine but his voice is way too light and thin to be apart of this tribute, Ed Sheeran's voice has a bit of grit to it when he belts but I do agree he was a bit out of placed with this genre

    90% of the performance is due to Beyoncé, the woman even imitated the sound of the instruments, without losing her vocal quality or her stage presence. Queen 😍😍

    Theres another performance from Ed Sheeran at the Tribute i think. The titel of the Video is "Ed Sheeran - I was made to love her (Songs In The Key Of Life An All Star Grammy Salute 2015)"
    One of the best performances of him live in my opinion. Hope you react to it.
