Iga is psyched out by Rybakina at this point - 4 straight losses including the Dubai exhibition in December. She would have probably lost this one and I think she knew it. She'll be back on the court in a few days. Minor injury if she has one at all.

From the look of things, i'd say that Elena is the only woman to hang with Iga even as Elena struggled. Not only did she resist when all others collapse, she gained the upper hand. A huge shame about the injury, but i'm sure it isn't serious.

What people don’t understand about this match is that Iga was supposed to DESTROY Rybakina here and yet Rybakina didn’t play particularly great except for a few moments and she is still only the 2nd person to get a set off of Iga in Rome since Iga’s rise to clay court dominance after winning RG in 2020. If Rybakina plays Iga at RG in the semifinal she has an actual chance to win that match outright and even possibly in straight sets, this was Iga’s absolute best pretty much the entire time and Rybakina still held her off with plenty of room for improvement just based on her form this year.
Swiatek felt the humiliation of losing with Rybakina, and injury is the only way out though its not that serious. Rybakina is so strong and calm. Continue to be an idol ELENA RYBAKINA🙏😘🏸🥰
Elenas game plan is simple.strike a huge serve and targets always the baseline. Thats y when her rhythm is clicking opponents cant show a solid groundstroke and in addition her serves are lethal but sometimes erratic, but then again when her rythm is switch on BOOM , she won the 2nd set.

Helena has to beware because soon or later clan swaiteck will come with an answer to her game.Helena power and ball placement is too much for swiateck now but the fact is as brilliant as she is,swiateck game is unidimensional,she hits hard topspin ball very fast on both side,no change whatsoever to rythme.Helena fearlessness impact on her spyche too.Helena is young and has a lot of room of improvement hopefully.
If she becomes less predictable then she will also become less potent. Rybakina is very offensively minded but she is actually very quick and nimble and could play more defensive if she felt that worked better. Iga will never stop having a lot of problems against Rybakina and Rybakina can improve a lot more than this.
