Just saw a video on the filter/wide angle lens issue, and the solution is to 1) read the manual HAHA, and 2) store your camera in the case it comes with before putting it in your pocket! The case itself is slim so I don't think there would be any storage issues. The camera/lens will still have space to move around so you don't have to worry about pressure on the camera! I'll definitely get the camera before I fly off for my student exchange
Agree with you on all the pros, just went on a trip with Osmo pocket 3 and it's a life changer to record on the go comparing it with recording with a full-frame camera. Most importantly, drawing less attention
I picked this up right before my trip to Japan as well a few weeks ago. I enjoyed using it. My biggest negative about it is the smoothness of the auto tracking, or lack there of. It's kinda jumpy. But I think the image and colors are great! I just wish I shot in D-LOG M the whole time instead of when I switched halfway through my trip... Also, the internal mic settings are confusing. But overall, a fun camera that I want to use more!
I have watched SEVERAL vids on the pocket 3 in preparation for buying it, and not one single person mentioned the filter falling off easily. Thank you so much for making me aware of this fact so I can try to pay attention. Although I bet I'll still lose it *facepalm* but thanks again!
People don't mention it probably because they mostly use the K+F ones which are slim enough to be left on the camera when it is shut off and even then those filters have pretty strong magnets that i often have difficulty removing.
To me, the pocket's gimbal is a double-edge sword, because you have to walk unnaturally and pay more attention to your movements, panning and tilting, so it' not just a quick, pick up and run & gun. But you also get a steadier shot if done correctly. For EDC & travel, I decided on an Action 5 and iPhone. For filmmaking & photography, A7C II with compact g series lenses, because they're small.
I'd be more worried about sticking my pocket 3 in my pocket raw dog/no case, than any inconvenience of having to take off the wide angle lens 😂😂. I do wish the pocket folded up with that lens on tho.
Thanks for the video. I’m planning a Japan trip next year and curious what your photo kit was. I’m thinking my X-S20 or X-T3 and the XF16-80 and XF33 just to keep things simple. The sigma 18-50 is also another option, just don’t want to be hauling around a bag of primes.
your two main disadvantages "focal breathing" and “start up time” can be improved by changing the start up settings and other settings in Pro mode. ....
Did you use the d-log? or just the normal. Color is honestly good if its normal. 😮 I recently have one but I couldn't test it outside for scenic because it's snow white 😫
The focus breathing actually puts me off using it. I wish they’d give the option to slow or lower the sensitivity. Most times if I want a point and shoot my default is the Action 4 because it doesn’t have the focus issue.
you can also just double tap the subject on screen where you want it to stay locked and it will automatically stay locked, or swipe left and turn off continuous focus
Hello! I just bought this bad boy. I am new in this content creation. And when i tried it yesterday it was too exposed even with black mist filter. I had EV at -.3 and ISO 50-200. 😢
yes you can lock on focus, but if you bring objects close to the lens (like his hand in that video) of course the camera will try to readjust the focus. And the second weakness being losing his filters due to negligence is hilarious (*note original osmo filters allow the camera to tuck). For that price that camera is a really good deal, 5stars, you have gimble, D-log 10bit, 1inch sensor, track and its really small, of course it doesn't compare to a Sony 7IV mirrorless but again for that price is a really good deal.
Its a camera meant for vlogging. And vlogging is what it does best… better than phones or action cameras. Outside of vlogging, might wanna venture with other specific purpose camera
Did you try setting the focus mode to Single?
As a content creator I have to say that this little camera has made my life a whole lot easier.
Bro the Video quality is insane !!!!!
Gorgeous content! Love your narration, it's making us want to book a trip too! 😍
Love the camera, great presentation

Good real-world "review". Thank you. I've enjoyed all of your videos.
I’ve been debating if I want one! Thank you for the video!!!
Hello from Kingsport, Tennessee!

Planning to use it for our Korean holiday

It’s just a fabulous camera!
Highly recommend attaching DJI on mini Tripod the heavier the better when trying to do very stable shots the extra weight helps it out a lot!
great video thank you, keep it up !

I want a Sony a7sIII.
@@BigOvlogger ya, they're still pricey even tho they're $300 off right now.
Nice video!

It would have been cool to hang out in Tokyo!

I have the pocket 3 and that’s normal color, dlog is quite a lot punchier in my experience.
How did you change Font on your channel Name??

As far as the focus hunting goes, can't you tap to lock focus? Even the iPhone can do that, so it'd surprising if they don't let you do that

hmmm, why is every OP3 content I see is they go to Japan most of the time? 🤔🤣
wait.. you can't turn the camera off with the wide angle on??? 😵
You just saved me 650.00. Thank you! I will stick to my GoPRo Hero 12 and GoPro Volta.
the small grip has no battery smh, how did you even get that silly idea lol

This little monster has made my life so much easier lol
