    Thank you so much for this review! I was LITERALLY just looking at this Bible to purchase. I just love the way God works!! Lol I agree with you about the topic headings, but glad there is the other option. I would probably use that one. Thank you again! Have a blessed day!

    Thank you for the great review! You covered everything I wanted to know about this Bible. Those maps look interesting, too-- I'll have to check those out.
    As for the Bible: I really like the cover, but I definitely don't need this one. The comfort print is a little odd-- I'm not sure how much I'd like it when reading for awhile-- but mainly after your great explanation of how to map Bible verses I don't think I need a dedicated Bible verse mapping Bible. I'd rather go through and choose my own verses to research further.
    Thank you for explaining how to map verses in a simple way. I'm glad you looked online and found those alternate step names: I agree with you that the original steps don't make much sense, but the ones you shared on the sticky note make things much clearer!
    I saw in another comment you've used a notebook to map out Bible verses. Have you found this to be a useful practice over time or just something new to try that fell away?

    It's comfort print for those with issues like dyslexia.

      oh my gosh!! Thank you so much for clarifying that. That does totally make sense. I can't read it, but I have a friend who's daughter has dyslexia so I will pass it along to her. Thank you again for the info!

      @@TheCreativeLifeStudios I had to hunt out a magnifying glass to see those little breaks in the letters. I’m in my 40s but have cataracts (thank you years of daily steroid meds 🙄) and for some reason I can read the print but not see the breaks! I guess even having dodgy eyes has it’s one silver lining 🤣

      This makes perfect sense! I know fonts designed for dyslexic readers are made to help differentiate letters more than "traditional" fonts. It makes sense that a tiny font with very distinctive letters would be easier to read than a tiny font with very similar letters. I wonder if they've actually done any studies on whether this supposition is true in practice or if they're just running with the idea.

    I use colored pencils in my Bible I don’t trust any gel or highlighter and colored pencils can be erased but the highlighting has never faded for me so just a thought

    I decided not to get this Bible because Comfort Print usually means easy on the eyes. 8 pt is not easy on the eyes. At least 9 would be better.

      Lisa B. Right!!?? I am so glad I’m not the only one who thinks even 1-2 point larger font spike have made all the difference in the world.

    Hi , so I just bought this bible . Few questions . How the texture of the Bible ? Also , if you been using for a while how has it worked out ? Thank you

    • @TheCreativeLifeStudios
      @TheCreativeLifeStudios  3 года назад +2

      Hey there! So if my “texture” you mean the page texture, it’s pretty standard bible pages. As for the Bible....not a fan. The “comfort font” still just hurts my eyes and since I have larger handwriting, the space given to do the verse mapping in isn’t big enough and it stresses me out to try to fit it in. However, I have been using the system of verse mapping and love it. I just do it in a regular spiral notebook. I how this helps!

    I received this Bible for review and when I took it out of the box, I was excited about the comfort print....until I saw the actual size of "comfort". It's too small to be considered as such.
    That is honestly the only thing that I'm not a fan of.

    • @TheCreativeLifeStudios
      @TheCreativeLifeStudios  3 года назад +4

      Kela Nellums you are definitely not the only person who feels this way. I hope Zondervan hears this and makes some changes. In my opinion, most Bible fonts are too small.

      I'm not super familiar with the Catholic Bible but I'm sure this system would work with the Catholic scriptures as well.

      @@TheCreativeLifeStudios Perfect timing, I ordered the girl’s edition with the teal ‘Leathersoft’ cover (much less expensive at £22 and still very pretty!) based on your review and it arrived this morning! I’m very pleased with it but I have to admit that those 5 study-step titles are a bit confusing and will take a bit of getting used to. I do think there’s plenty of space to add a Catholic translation instead of one of the others. Thanks again for the review and reply ☺️
