    The honey tonic idea is actually a good idea as the post exercise insulin sensitivity increase response does improve nutrient shuttling into muscle tissue. Taking 4 scoops of creatine monohydrate though in one go during a loading phase I don't personally think is the way to go however. I do like the loading phase more than the prolonged 5g a day for a month but take the 20-25g of CM over the course of the day for 5-⁷ days with meals and not all at once to minimize GI discomfort.

    Cardio: indoor Rower or Prowler.
    Low risk of injury, will not inhibit power production during your lifting days, low eccentric movement. If you really need cardio with no equipment....honestly just walk, it's better than you realize.
    Try to stay away from sprinting you can injure yourself too easily on uneven surfaces, roll an ankle, or god knows what else. Just don't do it unless this is something your sport demands you practice.

      I used to be on my feet all day at a fast food restaurant, not as physical as construction but my lower body recovery was definitely an issue. What I found useful was running full body workouts so I had a little bit of legs each workout to spread out the soreness. I also tried to work out before work when I had more energy. Also try foam rolling/ stretching in the evening. Eventually, your body will adapt.

      @PEEERRRR 4 года назад +10

      @@KingStinky343 I'll give you some real advice since I was in your situation at one time and it was brutal. You should have 3 workouts days a week, 1 power, 1 moderate, 1 moderate. Space them out in a way which Power day has 2 rest days after, and the moderates have 1 rest day. super compensate calories by 500. (This is about 1 protein shake 50g +odd carbs) if you're already having a shake after workouts.... Add another, this is simple...keep it simple. If you don't know what movements to place in the power day they are....Squat/Bench/Deadlift. The 2 moderate days will be built around supporting those 3 with exercises that assist you in those 3 lifts. This plan will get you jacked....the size of rick...This is simple but very hard to follow at first due to rest in off days and keeping up with proper nutrition good luck.

    Buges, you ever try carb powders vs honey? I sometimes use them an hour pre-workout. I can physically see a muscle size change when I'm depleted. "Carbion" specifically. Gonna give the honey creatine shot too. Haven't used creatine in years but when I did successfully the load phase was absolutely a necessity. 👌

    Yo Sticky D. I run college track so I do a ton of cardio and only specific lifts. Mostly trap bar deadlifts and cleans. How do I convince my coaches that I wanna chase the thrill of a PR and join a powerlifting meet. My current plan is just to show them a montage of the Stick’s best lifts. Thanks Buff Jesus

      Just realize that your gonna train for outside your sport and reducing your specificity by adding another discipline, so you can't be surprised when your track performance suffers.

    Super bro-talk here: everyone know honey is rich in enzymes, and enzymes catalyse chemical reactions in the body...Building muscle is just reactions, so honey is anabolic?

      Honey is still used in hospitals for wound treatment. It would make sense consuming honey would heal teared muscle tissue as well.

    4 scoops of Kreatin.. in the same sitting? Your stomach must be made of steel:) I was glued to the toilet couple of days with a dosage like that.. jeeeeez. Yes Kreatin and carbs maybe also ALA on the side will increase the benefit of Kreatin.

    idk if there is any truth to it, but it used to be recommended to take creatine with a sugary drink in order for it to be stored in the muscle... said this in all the containers. nowadays i am hearing that it doesnt matter how you ingest it, but maybe certain outlier peoples actually need to imbue the creatine with a sugary beverage. and honey green tea sounds like delumptuous means of doing so

    I’m really thinking of focusing on cardio (while still lifting of course). I get gassed out doing even a set of ten reps of a main lift, even at relatively low weight. Jogging is ok. What else is gonna improve my cardio so I won’t get so gassed out when I’m going for those high rep sets? Thanks guys.

      Ive found that running at a strong pace on my off days helps. I started out about a 9 minute mile and slowly brought it down to about 730. I still breath heavy after I finish a working set, but I'm able to get my breathing and heart rate back to resting much more quickly than before and im not quite as tired after each set
