- I'm going to be transitioning away from Destiny 2 in the immediate future. We'll explore some other options while we wait on the Final Shape to drop. If there's content worth making for Destiny, I'll make it. But in the meantime I need a break.

I haven't played D2 in ages because of a massive mvoe and adjustment back to my home state. I used to play it just abiut everyday after work before Microsock shut down Win 7, I tried my damndest to get back into the rhythm every which way that I could over the years, but the feeling just never felt like it did all those years back. Maybe with another rebuild I'll luck out with the feeling but so much time has passed, so many expansions missed, campaigns unfinished and Character Title Flare grinds just down the drain.
I just about lost my sht trying to get Wayfarer before the massive sunset. The enjoyment that I had with the game since then went elsewhere. I feel as if the atmosphere is meant more for newer players wanting to dive into the game, but to me I feel as though Bungje completely missed the mark where they tried to put it.
Been playing since pre alpha so you can imagine I’m even sadder. 😢
It's become a leviathan. There was a time when this game was built for hardcore players. I'm glad to see them taking a new direction. Seems like they're catering to the casual player base. These days the casuals far outnumber the hardcore players. It makes sense that they want people like me to play more. And it's working. As the game gets more casual I want to put in more time. Getting things in the game feels more accessible than ever and that makes me want to invest even more. I just really hope they keep building for the silent majority and never take marching orders from people like TV. If your job is to play a video game you have no right making any demands that cater to you. You are in a such a miniscule minority that demanding things that please you is only helping destroy the game for others.

I'm glad people like him are leaving. Bungie is trying to target casual players like me. When he talks about casual players "coming in then leaving then coming back" what he fails to realize is that players like him are the reason we don't play crucible that often. I want to play more but I want to play for fun against normal people like me. I want to play against people who do other things in their life outside of Destiny. There are a lot of us who are fans of the game we just don't live our lives on the game. As a matter of fact we outnumber the hardcore players so we matter the most. You elitist types need to remember that the next time you see a low level in the tower. Instead of looking down your nose at them you should be bowing down and groveling to them. If not for us casual players you wouldn't even have a game to play.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Remnant 2... I've been burned out on D2 for a while... Diablo 4 has been pretty fun so far, but I think R2 is going to scratch that itch.

@@Phreddish257although I’ve been enjoying Remnant 2, I will say it’s mainly linear for playthroughs. It’s fun even when playing with friends as I am. But I will say this game will simmer in a few months and probably won’t play it for a long time unless dlc drops.

Hope MARATHON fails!!! They gave up on us & I'm done with Bungie games. So many friends have left this game. I'm the last of my 34 friends. Can't hang anymore. I'm over it. 9yrs & here we are. Games a fraction of what it was. So sad. Good riddance Destiny.

I’ve been playing a lot of Destiny 1 recently, and it’s been so refreshing. Everyone is super chill, and Crucible actually feels really balanced. I genuinely feel confident that my losses and wins were fairly earned.
D1 was trying to be the best product it could be. D2 is trying to be a treadmill that never ends.

D1's sandbox was left in a horrible state with the last update it got. I'm sure the playerbase it has now is very laid back so it isn't that much of an issue to just play casually, but the balance is terrible.

@@seanmurray6380 People have felt this downwards slide for awhile. I can easily point to Tash who jumped to Genshin, Mr. Fruit who does variety, or even TV whose going to do variety. Only reason people think Cross did this is because he's "the biggest" creator, which is kinda false since Fruit and Datto are both in the millions. Only thing we can credit him with is being a more widely known creator thanks to his PvE, PvP, TWAB, criticism, news coverage, and such videos. When people think Destiny, they think Cross. Compared to when people think PvP they think TV, Wallah, and such.

Wish all streamers would quit gaming, at least the streaming part of it. The mass of streamers we gained in the past decade have ruined gaming across all manner of platforms and games now. Im sick of it.

I totally understand this. I’ve been playing Destiny since vanilla D1. I’ll always love this game. Especially with where Bungie has brought the narrative. But I haven’t actually played the game in months. I can’t even bring myself to do a strike I’m so burnt out. Hopefully that’ll change after a brief hiatus. Best of luck man!

I'm confident the pedigree of your content which is stellar will carry over as you transition to what looks to be variety, at least in the interim. I don't have an XBOX, thus won't have access to Starfield, but I still plan to tune in to the content you make for it. I imagine Starfield will be a huge release this year and I'm interested in your takes on it.
Bethesda does have an impressive development pedigree. Fallout 4 was a great game and I see Starfield utilizing that foundation, but only in space this time with even more bells and whistles. I think you've established yourself as one of best content creators and I will continue to support you, TV.
If you have a PC you can still play Starfield but if you only have a PS5 then yeah Xbox owns Bethesda now so that's never going to come to PlayStation.

Watching your content last year helped me to do well and enjoy myself in PVP. Empirical Evidence and Forgiveness are some of my favorite and most used weapons in Crucible because I watched your videos explaining their strengths and how fun builds can be that use sidearms. It's a shame to lose you from Destiny, but I look forward to watching your future content
TV I completely understand your decision. Gotta do what's best for you and the family. I've personally learned so much from your videos I will never be on the level you and many are with PVP but I did try to take it all in and the way you explained things were simple to understand. I took a break for a couple years from D2 and played other games now it has sucked me back in but I have a myriad of things to do so fortunately always grinding. Got strand done now but stasis is my cryptonite I just can't get into it. Wish you all the best bud I will stick around to support you in you next endeavors

I know you’re not abandoning the game completely forever, but I feel like TV(along with other big name creators) stepping away for the most part is a major red flag and huge shift in Destiny’s history.
That being said, really excited to see what TV can bring with new exciting content.

Yeah right. Tired of all these "I'm done" videos from people and comments like this as well. You're so full of it. Be honest. You'll all be back for the final shape, destiny 3 and everything Bungie puts out until the day you die. All of you will and don't bother leaving any comments suggesting otherwise. You're already consuming destiny content by watching this video.
final shape is it though, if final shape is like lightfall and the last 3 dlc's, destiny 2 will die that year.
@@daMillenialTrucker And? 😆 You're not making some wild prophecy here. It's the end of the light/dark saga which has been the main story of Destiny since the beginning. It's literally called the "FINAL" shape.
Whether TFS is the best DLC they've ever released or the worst Destiny 2 is coming to an end and I'm pretty sure it's been planned.
They're doing episodes after this which will get less and less attention as players drop off until Destiny is not worth supporting anymore. That's why they're developing new games like Marathon and Matter. There's not much more they can do with Destiny.
Final Shape will release in 2024. I think that will be the last year of steady content for D2. It's pretty obvious they're ready to move on to new games.
Destiny ran It's course and they kept players engaged and addicted for 10 years. It's the most successful looter shooter ever. It's not like anyone is getting the last laugh here other than Bungie. Sony will likely have another studio take over and that's *IF* there even is a Destiny 3. If they do decide to make another sequel Bungie probably won't have anything to do with it.

I’m on the Starfield train as well. Seems like it’s going to be an awesome experience. I have taken a couple months off of Destiny myself. Came back and most of my group of friends aren’t even playing 😢. I told myself I’d see Destiny through till the end then I’d leave it behind.

Completely agree with your points, and your complaints have been very similar to my experience. I’ve been a day 1 PvP player, and I am officially at a point where I am taking a break. The only other time that this happened was the stasis meta and I took about a year break. This will probably be a longer break TBH.

Been watching you for years; between you and Crucible Radio, helped me get so much better at PVP and enjoy it. While I always empathized with those getting stomped, I never felt the need for a big change in QP. So I don't get it. But I do understand the practical considerations you have when it comes to making content. I hope the new content works out - I'll definitely be following it for Starfield as I'll be playing it. Still, hopefully at some point Bungie will turn things around with PVP - but as you mentioned, there are several things they need to do to "shock" it back.
