Thanks for this. I didn't know how to connect the device to my phone as I thought it would use the password underneath the router, but turns out it was the password on the KEEPME card. Who knew there were two different passwords!! Cheers.
Ive had mine for 2 months now, for the first month it was perfect. Second month its been playing up - occasionally disconecting from internet on all devices and saying "connected without internet". I usually have to pull the battery out and turn it back on to fix this but sometimes takes 10 mins of waiting. This happens sometimes 3 times a day and is infuriating after weeks
Thank you for this! Has really helped. So regarding the cable. Where would I connect that to? Is it to charge the router? What’s it for? Anything else I need to know that you haven’t shown on the video? Thank you! 😊
Thanks for the kind words. The cable is to charge the device, you can plug it into a computer or a power adapter (which you then plug into a wall socket). Other than this, you need to check that you can get a good EE 4G signal, either using their website, or by doing a speed test on an EE-connected phone at your address. You also need to consider how much data you need each month, and what sort of contract (if any) you want. Please see our review in the pinned comment for more details.
Hello, just bought one yesterday,, in the box there is a leaflet about " easy ways to top up ", the one i always used on my previous ee pay as you go was a credit card size top up card, the leaflet says there should be a top up card in the pack,, is it the " nearly there " card, where the sim was attached to ??,,, my card is half the size, with a barcode on it, but no expire date on it, like my previous had,, i gather this is the top up card ?? thanks.
Will this be ok to use on a mobile phone to stream either live sky tv or live tnt tv etc, as long as the area i want to watch on ny phone has a good ee signal?
these things should come with a power mains adaptor and not just run from a battery charge. I cant really see many people carrying them around since their smart phones have a hotspot option. I use mine for the home only and its been left plugged in continuous on charge for three weeks now.
There are 4G router devices that do just that, they plug into the mains. They're also often a lot cheaper than MiFi, for example the Three 4G Hub is currently £8 per month for the first 6 months with unlimited data: broadbandsavvy.com/three-4g-hub-review/
It says NOT to keep connected to a charger for more than 7 days. If you do you are advised to remove the battery to avoid any damage. If this is so you should be able to use it plugged directly into a USB port. If not then EE need to explain things better on their Quick set up guide.

You could do either. When you buy from EE on their website, you'll be able to attach a payment method, and choose whether you want to pay monthly (on a contract) or pay as you go. Regarding activating it, since we bought the SIM + device on the EE website, we just put the SIM in and it worked immediately.
We have not personally tested that, but our understanding is that this device is unlocked, or can be unlocked by phoning EE. Therefore you can use another SIM in it, including from another network. You can also buy this device with a PAYG SIM from EE, on their website.
If you buy the device from the EE website does the sim card come with the device and the data pre loaded or do i have to pay extra for data or am i only paying for the device
When you buy on the EE website, the SIM card does come with the device, and it includes data. There are a few different data plans available (I believe from 4GB per month up to unlimited data). You can buy on a long-term contract, or buy a pay as you go plan for a higher upfront/monthly cost. Basically it's a monthly plan, rather than data being loaded onto the device/SIM. When you buy a monthly plan, they ship the device with it.
Is it normal for it to be slow to connect to my tv/phone when you initially set it up? As I’ve just set mine up but it was giving me no internet for a few minutes.

I got this for pay monthly £22 for 40gb bit seen 3 is doing unlimited data for £10 a month for first 7 months then £20 a month on a 24 month contract..Will the three sim work ok?

hello please my friend misplaced the default details for login after factory reset, when trying to log in with password admin it doesn't work. Do mind helping me with the default password for this particular mifi?
It's not really the best for that, especially if you're playing ping-sensitive games. We'd recommend using the Three 5G Hub router instead, if you can, since you'll be able to use an Ethernet connection: broadbandsavvy.com/three-5g-hub-review/
The admin panel might show it, the IP address is on the sticker on the inside of the device. However, we're not actually certain if the battery percentage is shown there.
If you get a good 4G signal, it will work (40-60ms ping) but a fixed-line connection would be better. You could also use a 4G router, rather than a MiFi device, to get a better latency with 4G/5G.
@@Fxrno We tested the Three 4G Hub on a few different games and found it quite good (see gaming at the bottom of this page): broadbandsavvy.com/three-4g-hub-review/

Yes, with a USB charger plug, which you'll need to buy separately (about £10 on Amazon). If you do this, it might be worth buying a longer power cable, so that you can put the device on a windowsill and ensure the best signal.
Yes you can. It will work just as well as your phone's 4G in your car - generally very well. It might cut out if you drive on a B road in the middle of nowhere, however.

It should but will be subject to EE roaming rules. Also note that it might not necessarily work in some countries based on their 4G infrastructure.
