Например гайковерт Cat с двумя аккумулятороми кейсом и зарядкой у нас стоит примерно 130доларов! А метабо или милуоки такой-же мощности уже 650 700 долларов!
Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" ruclips.net/user/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.
Yep that way its consistant and I can keep both hands on the drill. Wanted to go with a PWM valve until I looked the price up of a none compensated PWM valve. Almost all test videos on YT show people drilling into wood, I wanted something that could be consistent and repeatable to keep things fair. Way to many variables I feel with testing in wood.
In our country, Milwaukee costs on average 2 times more expensive than a CAT if you buy from an official dealer. People take CAT for home and DeWalt or MAKITA for work - it's just cheaper. Russia.
Cat is a Chinese brand now, looks like. They're a good deal in Russia, now that most western brands have been priced out of the accessible range for the majority of the population by the old bald politburo dude crash-testing the economy.
I see the CAT as a very poor deal. Been looking around for another drill. Right now you can get a FLEX 24-volt 1/2-in Brushless Cordless Drill, 2 Batteries 5Ah & 2.5Ah and Charger on sale at lowes for $179 ($50 off).
Yep and the flex is claiming 1400Lb In vs DX12 600/ DX13 700. I really don't see any advantage right now to buy CAT. The battery is cool but it looks like the drill cant take full advantage of it.
I've been using the cat tools for a while they can be obtained quite cheap in 🇸🇪 Sweden. Ive seen brand new dx12s go for as low as 80$ ! They're constantly on sale cause nobody buys cat since its a new powertool lineup.
I’m used to seeing companies throw their name on stuff when their main products become obsolete. Bell and Howell brand crappy digital cameras, once they were no longer making any of their famous optical gear. But Caterpillar? Why?
Interesting set of results. I haven't really seen CAT battery powered tools here in the UK. The odd time I have seen them, they are very expensive, usually a lot more than the other main brands. I guess it depends on what you want the actual tool for, I wonder how many would actually drive it that hard in actual work, more likely battery life time would be the higher concern.
My main reason for even considering the cat would be the fact that the battery is supposed to persist through more charge discharge cycles and charge faster. I worked at a company that used Milwaukee but their batteries were so worn out from so many cycles that my new 2 amp hour on my impact would last as long as the 5 amp hours at least. I never ran it out with the impact at that job, but using it in the blower we used for blowing out roof top units I could throw my 2 amp hour on after we ran out of big batteries and get just as much out of it. As long as the batteries don't cost twice as much to replace I think that alone would make it make sense for a company, if it does truly survive double the amount of cycles.
One of the claims of the graphene batteries is their superior performance at cold temperatures. If so, this would be a hugely valuable quality in areas that experience cold winters. Has anybody tested for cold temperatures performance, including Milwaukee, Dewalt, Bosch, etc.?
To keep the batteries on an even par, there is always the option of purchasing a Milwaukee super charger. I believe they can recharge a 12ah battery in under an hour.
Hope to but it will probably be 2 months before I do. Biggest issue is its another battery platform I need to buy into. I try to test the tools with all the available battery's, so to add another platform is $$$$.
@@Tools-Tested don't worry, just get 2.5 and 4ah for drill testing, 5 and 8ah are pointless in this application and not practical at all. Btw you will also be surprised how fast they charge... And in general it is a great platform to invest into, really great tools, they have it all, power, ergonomics and reliability.
The Milwaukee won but not by much it claims twice as much power as both of these drills and didn't beat it by twice as much.. The CAT's were actually pretty impressive for only having 50% of the potential of the Milwaukee....
I think the Milwaukee has much more to give, definitely on speed one. It powered through the dyno with the 5ah. It will be interesting when I set the dyno for high power. Yeah I don't think the CAT drills are bad, but your defiantly paying a high premium for the name. I cant wait to see how CAT ranks vs other brands as I continue testing.
If you want to improve your testing. You should find a way to know the capacity of discharge of the battery. That where the power came from. The number of amp/hours is not relevant without the capacity of discharge. If a 5amp battery have 1c (capcity of discharge) it will produce a constant 5amp for 1 hour. If it have 3c, it will produce 15amp for 20min wich is 3 time the power output possibility but for a shorter period. Some lithium polimer battery (not lithium ion) have up to 150c and 300c in burst. Just a sugestion😊
there is no evidence that those cells contain any graphene, the MSDS sheet does NOT nor does the shipping restriction note this, either the battery has no graphene or the MSDS sheets are illegal
Of course it's unlikely there's any graphene there. If confronted, I suppose they will claim it's just a flashy marketing name. But the fast charging is cool, wish other brands make a note of that. Most likely cells charged in several banks in parallel, like in modern phones with super fast charging
I work as an electrician and Going to give CAT power tools a go as i have been offered a very good deal on a combo pack. Drill_ impacter_grinder 3 battery and charger.
Congratulations, very well done video!! Hello everyone, I'm Brazilian and I live in Brazil, good tools like the m18 are very expensive around here, so I have to import and hope that the corrupt government here doesn't tax me too much with taxes that reach 70% of the product price, even paying $120.00 dollars for shipping, it is much cheaper to import than to buy here in Brazil, even so I ask for your help on where I can find ToughBuilt and Milwaukee products, with the lowest possible price, since the dollar is $5, 30x1.00 real lol, thank you very much for your kindness.
Thiese results are misleading, as you pointed out, if you test the Milwaukee with larger batteries it does way better. Not a fanboy, that Milwaukee gets a lot out of larger batteries.
Yeah anything bigger on the Milwaukee and it will smoke the belt currently on the dyno.... Dyno is getting a major upgrade in a month or so, should be able to handle double the Watts. Cant wait to retest the Milwaukee and angle grinders!
Omg this "5ah" battery is ridiculous, it is soo big, should be more like 8-10ah for it's size and should never be used on a handheld drill. Btw if you tested Milwaukee with ho 6ah battery it would embarrass cat even more. It has a lot more power compared to this wimpy 5ah
Congratulations on getting your dyno going, there's some good data coming out of it!
Thanks its been a long struggle. I cant wait to test more drills for comparison.

I haven’t bought the cat yet I’m just wondering if it’s a professional grade tool
Seem decent but the line is currently limited and that 5ah is HEAVY. Really like that fast charging of the 5ah though.
