Just a small note on Republic Commando - the game implies each commando has special abilities but they’re all equally efficient at whatever you get them to do.
I so wish they would have just given a 10-20% advantage to the commando with the relevant speciality. 8 or 9 vs 10 seconds would be enough to playfully incentivize trying to select the right commando. For me anyway!
I’m no developer, but changing each commando to always do tasks of a particular kind 1-2 seconds faster sounds like it might take about 15 minutes to change. Maybe a couple hours? In any case, I think that, given many other small details about equally arguably “waste[s] of development time,” such a gameplay feature would be at least as well loved by enjoyers of the game as much of these other little lovable details. Heck, this even affects gameplay whereas a lot of that other stuff doesn’t. In this game, 1-2 seconds in a firefight is sometimes painfully significant, and as long as it takes the player less than that time to ensure the right commando does the job, it’s a fun tactical advantage. 3 or even 4 seconds might be better. Even if the dynamic doesn’t turn out to be so worth it to most players, it would do A LOT for me to be even more immersed, which this game obviously valued highly. This is all to say, I’m pretty sure I disagree with you.
I notice that almost everyone who thinks "Star Wars is dead" tends to be someone who grew up with the Prequels who is in their mid to late 20s. They always say Star Wars doesn't excite them anymore, and equate it with the franchise being dead, dying, or worse than it used to be. What if you're just outgrowing it? "I'm still a fan, but moreso of what Star Wars used to be," sounds a lot to me like like nostalgia, which supports what I'm guessing.
In a sense, the “Star Wars is dead” argument can be a bit of an exaggeration. I guess a better term is that more and more people are becoming apathetic. Including me. Outgrowing it is not what I see as an issue, I’m just tired of mediocrity with the occasional rare gem. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nostalgia blind for a few things in old Star Wars, but I am not nostalgia blind by everything. I’ve recognized that various aspects of the movies, games, etc have glaring flaws that can’t easily be ignored. I just think overall, the franchise prior to 2015, was fundamentally better than what we are left with today.
@@n1n10doboy I think it’s a mix. Old Star Wars had a huge array of EU content to choose from, but the canon selection was incredibly minimal. Lucas didn’t expand the Star Wars “Lucas” canon all too much in his last 10 years aside from the Clone Wars. What did come out was also kind of mixed- I love RotS and TPM, but I dont really like AOTC, and I love TCW, but not all of it is good. Id argue the quality of Star Wars has always varied. Modern Star Wars has a LOT more content, equally varied but with maybe lower highs for a lot of people, but I think a lot of it is still very good.
The games absolutely made me love Star Wars more than the movies ever did... Between TIE Fighter, Rebel Assault 2, Dark Forces and Rouge Squadron, but especially TIE Fighter, the universe was so compelling and fun...
The music in the background at the start of the vid is giving me so much nostalgia 😭that's the theme to lego star wars the video game for the game boy which is crazy to say now ❤
One of my personal favorites is Rogue Squadron 3. You get RS2 as multiplayer, the Jedi Starfighter w/seismic charges, and seeing TIEs fall out of the sky or spin out of control as they "scream" NEVER gets old.
The company making Eclipse has admitted that the trailer was made with the intention of trying to find investors and hire more people, that combined with their widely known toxic work culture and all the issues with David Cage I honestly don't expect this game to come out.
I love star wars so much it's so cool My favorite star wars are classic LEGO star wars games star wars battlefront star wars Force unleashed 1 and 2 Republic commandos Jedi fallen order and Jedi survivor
You forgot lego Star Wars the clone wars. Its my favorite lego game ahead of both Indiana Jones lego games, Pirates of the Carribean lego game, both Harry Potter lego games, Avengers lego game and the Star Wars main saga lego game.
Once Star Wars 1313, was canceled, I completely lost all faith in Star Wars project since that was the closets in getting to rated M and I think it could have laid a foundation for much darker and serious aspect of the series.
The Revenge of the Sith Game >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> those prequel travesty's devoid of care, substance and input from others due to george lucas' control also at least the canon EU, mainly the books and comics have been pretty awesome (80% of the time anyway), and i think it was good the old stuff (that was like 50% bad anyway) was relegated to legends cuz it means they wouldn't be contradicted / retconned but yeah, the one thing i think the 2000s did better than the 2010s was games. i mean f********** EA holding those rights to themselves, and in a space of 8 yrs they make 4 games - 1 of them costing $250+ just to actually have some fun - 1 of them launching with an awful campaign, awkward gameplay and a 'pride and accomplishment' mindset - 1 of them... actually JFO was really great tbf - 1 of them, despite being really good, was smaller in scale
Great production for small channel if this is what you put out everytime you will maybe get 100k by next year if all your videos have this quality maybe more pictures that potray some kind of thoughts like Schaffrillas Productions idk and upload more of this stuff. I think this is something that people like becuase it gets very personal and subjective.
Thanks for enjoying and your feedback! I’ll definitely keep in mind adding more images to convey my thoughts. As for uploads, most of them this year will be similar to this video since I’ve shifted my content to be primarily videos of this caliber.
Idk comparing Fallen Order’s Vader fight to TFU is so different. Totally different styles of games, and one character is Op for the sake of being a op video game character, and the other is a way more grounded Jedi who isn’t just randomly stronger than Vader, just because Vader trained him… idk first game was cool to play, but the second one is complete shit and I’m lowkey glad these games were never canon anyway.
Star Wars is not devoid of substance my guy, even the new Jedi games themselves debunk that theory, they’re way better than TFU and older Jedi games that’s for sure.

@@aabgjbtlfjcbSounds like a waste of development time. Could be turned into a mod though probably.

Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith is crying somewhere

Thanks for mentioning the force unleashed - this video was great !
Nice to see a small channel pop up on my feed, I look forward to listening to what you have to say about my favorite games too.
The games absolutely made me love Star Wars more than the movies ever did...
Between TIE Fighter, Rebel Assault 2, Dark Forces and Rouge Squadron, but especially TIE Fighter, the universe was so compelling and fun...
It was battlefront 2004 and Lego Star Wars for me
The music in the background at the start of the vid is giving me so much nostalgia 😭that's the theme to lego star wars the video game for the game boy which is crazy to say now ❤
Loved the video man😎🙏. Glad you popped up in my recommended

Great job! Can't wait to see you talk about the rest.

Wow. I didn’t know that controversy was happening with Eclipse and Quanticdream. In that case, yeah, I’d say it’s likely not releasing.
I hope this video helps to grow your channel, keep up the good work!
I love star wars so much it's so cool My favorite star wars are classic LEGO star wars games star wars battlefront star wars Force unleashed 1 and 2 Republic commandos Jedi fallen order and Jedi survivor
editing and ur script rlly good and u pointed out the best things from these games you earned a subscriber
lol the ones I remember most were the Jedi knight series. The precursor to the force unleashed games, have you ever played them?
As of now, I’ve played a little bit of Jedi Outcast. When the remaster of Dark Forces drops, I’ll probably play that one too.
Honestly I'd replace lego star wars with KOTOr 1 & 2 while I like lego star wars KOTOR I love
Try Lego Batman 1 its goated.
The wii version of The Force Unleashed is actually on The Switch with an HD remaster
You forgot lego Star Wars the clone wars. Its my favorite lego game ahead of both Indiana Jones lego games, Pirates of the Carribean lego game, both Harry Potter lego games, Avengers lego game and the Star Wars main saga lego game.
I mentioned it during the Complete Saga segment. However, a full segment about the game could happen in a future video.
Once Star Wars 1313, was canceled, I completely lost all faith in Star Wars project since that was the closets in getting to rated M and I think it could have laid a foundation for much darker and serious aspect of the series.
Its a small thing to miss but not all the dlc for force unleashed made it to pc, the last level takes place on endor with you fighting laia
The Endor level was in Force Unleashed 2, not the first.
The Revenge of the Sith Game >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> those prequel travesty's devoid of care, substance and input from others due to george lucas' control

Jedi FO and Survivor are probably 2 of the best games EA has ever made (in my opinion ofc).
great vid bro
Can people get over the sequels and shit already… must be nice being that angry about movies lol.
That perfectly reflects my Star Wars take

I will tell you what happened just now.
I don't see any of the KOTOR games
Those might get their own video in the future.

Kotor?
Because of the scale of the game, I think it will fair better in a video specifically about it.
Star Wars is not devoid of substance my guy, even the new Jedi games themselves debunk that theory, they’re way better than TFU and older Jedi games that’s for sure.
why dont you have 1m subs?
