Undeniable fact. These guys have brought Yes out of the crypt keeper’s hands (Steve Howe) and back to life in the very Essence of Yessongs. Great job and thank you for allowing Jon to be in his rightful place.

If you mean by 'essence of Yessongs' - energy, then you are quite correct. They're playing high energy versions - their way. Personally, I seriously miss the beauty, nuance, subtlety and sheer skill of Steve Howe's less distorted guitar. They are quite brilliant, and I've been a fan of the BG's since they started live. But they are the first to admit - they are not YES. I'm not sure if I agree that Jon's rightful place is fronting a cover band? Can't wait to see and hear them live. I hope there is a European tour in the works.

Totally. And Steve’s not aged well 😂

@@mattleppard1964 Just saw Steve play a couple of weeks ago. I sat 10 feet away from him all night. At 77 he is playing as tastily as ever. He can't hide his age and playing behind live autotune and other live correction effects.

@@johnmorrell I often poke fun as he’s apparently not that nice and I’ve seen the “break your legs” video, but he is amazing really. And he co-wrote Close to the Edge and Gates of Delirium. So yeah, genius

@@mattleppard1964 and tons of other Yes classics. I work with someone who plays and toured with Steve, and he says he's a great guy to be around - helpful, generous, thoughtful and considerate. I wouldn't judge Steve's character based on a bad day with a terrible lighting technician. How can he see his fretboard on a big stage when the lights are set up wrong. I suppose you have to be a live working musician to know how difficult that can be. Getting pissed off at a Tech who is fucking-up, is a good thing, it shows he cares that the audience get the show they paid good money to see, and not have it ruined by an incompetent lighting guy...

Jon Anderson has more right to the name "Yes" than anyone in the tribute band calling it such.

No, that belonged to Chris Squire.

@@midorioshii8856 I saw Chris Squire's "Yes" before he died. It was terribly sad and pathetic. No Jon Anderson = NOT YES. Squire should have called his ensemble Not Yes.

@@johngrunwell6101 alcohol will do that to a person sadly. However in their prime it was Squire's band. He was the engine. I love Anderson's singing and especially Howe's guitar, but it was Squire that was the skeleton of the monster.

@@midorioshii8856 It's complicated. The band was formed by Anderson and Squire and I consider them the founders. However, legal bullshit, lawsuits, and hurt feelings have caused chaos. So glad he's with Band Geeks now. Best version of "YES" today.
