    That was amazing and I love how it all progressed! I’ve never thought of using stencils like that but I will now😊 Can I ask what colours you used in it and how you work out which colours will work together in such a harmonious way? Thank you for sharing your progress🙏🏼

      Thank you 🙏🏻 I forgot to list them in the description thank you I just added them: I used Daniel Smith Watercolors, I call it my Limitless Palette : Hansa Yellow Light, Quinacridone Sienna, Quinacridone Red, Quinacridone Magenta, Pthalo Turquoise and Pthalo Blue Red Shade - by using these colors I have learned that they all really get along and make beautiful blends, I call them best friends. I hope to make a video soon on this limited palette and the color recipes I have found for mixing 😍

Years ago I took a workshop with Lian Quan Zhen and I did some pouring and liked the results I got. You have inspired me to continue. I ordered an angle brush, some spice dishes and a brush from your affiliate site. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will get them Thursday and I have time to work after that. I am very excited.

    Awesome! I was curious about your paper and saw it’s WN. I think it’s important for people to know this semi-aggressive brush scrubbing technique would not be as successful on paper like Fluid and Arches, for example. Just so people don’t get frustrated. With a softer cotton paper it’ll really tear up the surface of the paper. The WN or Canson would give better success.

    • @watercolorpour
      @watercolorpour  Год назад

      Hi Nancy, would not recommend this on Fluid or Canson. I use my lifting technique successfully on professional grade 100% cotton paper. I have used Arches, Fabriano Artistico, Winsor and Newton, Saunders Waterford, and Millford to name a few. You can use a softer toothbrush when learning how much pressure to use, I have heard some use a sponge or magic eraser for lifting but I prefer this method as I can control the pressure and amount of lift. Thank you for taking the time to comment of the videos, 😀😀😀

      Thanks for the tip! I have tried it but like the control I have with the toothbrush as far as being able to control how much lift and/or fades. I This week I saw another artist using a baby wipe, thought that would be cool similar to the magic eraser in effect

    Really like your technique and got some good ideas from your video. However, since you use the word “soften” frequently, please please know that the “t” in that word is silent! I became distracted by this mispronunciation. I know many people now pronounce the “t” in both the word often and the word soften, but this isn’t correct.
