Story about annoying co-worker. NTA Apparently the commenters failed to read the part where it said that he was talked to by management about his behavior. Meaning that OP did go to management about him and it didn't help
Glad I am not the only one here pointing that out. When management is ineffective at their job everyone else's job gets worse. If these two worked for me I'd have had the annoyingly aggressive pest on a pip the second time he ignored me telling him to knock that off and then sadly had the conversation with the frustrated employee that sadly he was wrong to blow up but it is being handled so send all the coworkers emails to junk and pick up up and hang up on the phone calls. I've actually had to meditate similar situations.
After speaking with the impatient employee a second time, would h a ve spoken with HR, time to go. No one should have to put up with an embicile that refused to following direction.
@@sycoclownx I know you meant mediate, but because of the typo my mind immediately went to the mental image of a shaolin monk meditating on a rock with a laptop in his lap, one finger raised telling a coworker to zip it with his head bowed to the other. It was glorious for the 5 seconds it lasted.
I would rather harass a bear cub in front of it's mana than tick off anyone in IT. I've heard enough to know that death is a slap on the wrist compared to what those suckers can do.
Story 3: the Coworker is the TAH in this story, those saying that OP is in the wrong are ignoring that fact that OP has gone through multiple channels to get him to stop it, but he refuses to stop. This means he is purposefully interfering with his work during his DND time. For people like this the only way to get them to stop is a massive STFU that is either harsh or public, if they want to take to HR then OP has the record of contacting superiors and messages with the Kevin Coworker who doesn't understand DND to stop it to justify their actions.
@kyuuchat I don't know I still feel OP is NTA because I also work in a toxic environment and the management above me is useless. There is a group of 4 who are exceptionally negative about everything. When we complain about it to higher-ups they do nothing at all and push it on us to fix by ourselves. If Kevin is a dick and and he is not being dealt with by his manager nor HR he deserves to be treated like a dick
after going trough various channels to stop a kevin from bothering you, you are justified to bite his head off and with a papertrail that the kevin is a mongoloid asshat. sometimes its the only thing that makes a mongoloid take a few seconds to self reflect on their entitled stupidity@@kyuuchat
Actually, OP can just tell HR that this is harassment, that his manager has been notified and he is now expecting disciplinary actions against the caller. In HR speech, this means “incoming lawsuit”.
the "ESH" people in that one need a "do you know how to fucking read" email as well, clearly. "what you should've done was what you implied you already did multiple times, I am very smart and didn't just skim through it"
third story: nta. they werent listening and even disturbing op in meetings. people writing they did it wrong and to reach out to management&supervisord, they did! they did nothing and the coworker continued and therefore op finally put their foot down
computer story: Since OP developed that program on his own time, and on his own computer, He OWNS it! Anything you produce on your own is automatically copywrited to you. He should have sued the company for illegal use of his program. Barring that, he should have put in a "backdoor" in the program so he could get into it and modify and or delete it after he left the company.
story 3... NTAH. your coworker was poking a sleeping bear. he got the warnings. he knew what he was doing was a bad idea. if you ask someone not to do something numerus times and do it anyway, expect patiance to wear thin. talking to HR would have been a better choice, but the reaction was warrented
but op did already the right thing nummerus times (aka informing higher ups) but yeah step it up to HR if needed and well I'm lucky i don't work in such a snowflake environment if you srew up, you get all the anger the coworker has accomulated, but that is mutually agreed 😅 Also even if HR wants too doo anything against OP well lawsuit incoming with a big check for op
Yelling at coworkers is never acceptable, ESH stands. CCing a manager, going to HC, or simply creating an Outlook rule to route his emails to another folder and send an auto-reply each time "I am on Do Not Disturb and will respond when I am able." Once this guy starts getting auto-replies to every single email, and he realizes the calls never go through, the problem will sort itself out.
The auto reply would probably be the best course of action, although he did state in the paragraph that he had been talked to by the managers and higher ups multiple times, which means he probably had done that already and the higher-ups and managers had really done nothing so at some point it is reasonable to lose your patience to get the point across.
I had a house buyer like the scummy real estate dude. Made a decent offer for my (unique in the area, suited her perfectly) property. Then a non-stop series of phone calls wanting to renegotiate, drop offer, blah blah, due to this, that and the other. Last call, my solicitor tells me she wants to drop it down again. I told him No. I will call the agent and relist it. She backed down. They're so annoying when they play these games, it gets to the stage that you'd rather sell to anybody else.
In the first/title story how in the bloody hell did the Karen think that by attacking the boss, getting arrested for assault, tried und convicted. Wasn't going to end with her termination? Also where in the bloody hell did she find a lawyer that would be willing to take on such a case. I'd imagine that she had to have left out a *LOT* of details. Such as the fact that *SHE* was the aggressor.
Guessing she didn't fill her lawyer in on the full story. Admitting what she had done would have required she was (at least privately) accountable for her actions. The lawyer most likely only found out the truth because OP sent the police report.
Out after the first story, only Massachusettes requires a FFL to sell pepper spray and in person pick up, and even then you can still carry it or purchase it. unless manager was a felon then that limits it in a few more states but this reads like "and then they all applauded at the end knowing I was the best ever". I don't believe a word of it.
House one refusing to sign the paperwork will result in a civil lawsuit against him for the full amount of the sale, plus commissions. Still will not get the house, and will be both homeless, and also broke.
18:00 Just a note, that's not a typo from OP. Tinny in terms of speakers refers to bad speakers where you're going to hear a sort of metallic, low quality sound. It's pronounced "tin" (like the metal) - "ee."

1st story: I don't care if you are a thief, you don't pepper spray someone unless you have no other choice whatsoever. It was a good thing she didn't have a gun or she probably would've used that instead 2nd story: Avarice has come back to kick him in the ass. Too bad owner couldn't get full price. 3rd story: I'd have to say, I would side with OP on this one. The co-worker was incredibly rude here. Maybe he shouldn't have gone off on him, but everyone DOES have their limits. When that happens, your response was automatic and understandable. 4th story: First off, newer invent a device to tattle on yourself. Second, if you do that, never let anyone know about it. Third, don't let them take credit for your work. I think he got his revenge in the end Lastly, I think it's pronounced do ex mack in a, not machine a 5th story: Chalk drawings are a distraction for drivers?
