If the story is true, I do hope that Karen gets horror upon horror inflicted upon her in prison.
      There was a documentary about prison life and talked about one guy that assaulted a child, maybe killed the kid. Dude was jumped in the yard one day, stabbed repeatedly. Sadly, the prick lived, but he had multiple wounds, think close to 10 or 15.

    • @DrFranklynAnderson
      @DrFranklynAnderson Год назад +21

      Honestly, the discrimination is usually the “overly kind and ‘helpful’ while actually looking down on us” type. Got my first wheelchair at age 4 and never had anything near the type of intolerance described here. Not saying it’s necessarily impossible/fake, just that it’s VERY unusual.

      @@DrFranklynAnderson I've been teaching special ed since 2017. I've never worked with anyone wheelchair bound, mostly kids with autism. Since that's my job, most parents I interact with are the parents of aforementioned kids, so very supportive. On the rare occasion I mingle with outsider parents, most are great, and a few are the kind you describe. But I've had the displeasure of meeting 2 demons, that made it quite clear that they believed all disabled or special people were lepers, and that they shouldn't be allowed to attend school, and that our schools would soon be shut down. Only difference was the first mom was loud, and the second was scary quite. These monsters exist. And they renew my conviction that anyone who denies a child anything will only harm that child over my cold-dead corpse.

      @@WlmaAlexender-zl6nx Gotcha. Mental disability is a whole ‘nother ballgame, I can totally see morons being morons about that. Most of it seems to be plain ignorance-after all, different=scary. Some people are like that around me, too anxious even to let me open doors on my own. 🤦‍♀️ I won’t pretend people with severe autism are the easiest to get along with, but I’ve at least spent a lot of time with them thanks to disabled kids camp and accessible sports and the like. There are times I think “if only a lot more people, especially those in positions of power, became disabled, then they’d know what it’s like and be able to change things.” Then I remember that’s literally the supervillain’s evil plan in the first X-Men movie. 😂

    A little tip for the windshield wiper story:
    If the freezing happens to you because you forgot, get some lukewarm water (not hot, just slightly above room temp) and pour it over the affected area, that’ll melt it without putting strain on it… if you use too hot water it can cause further breaking if there’s a crack in the window, thus the lukewarm water

    What I want to know about story one is how someone that was seemingly viewed as the grandmother of the community could be so cruel and heartless. Either that says a lot about the community as a whole, nobody ever saw her interact with disabled people, or OP's daughter is literally the first disabled person Karen's ever had to live near in decades. I personally find it hard to believe someone *that* evil with a social media presence and such a huge sense of entitlement or self-importance could possibly hide her cruelty from anyone.

    "Record" can be said in one of two ways depending on the meaning.
    "Reck-urd" is something like an album or information, like "someone's police record" or a music album. The music album meaning is what OP was referring to when saying "record scratch." Google "record scratch" to know what is meant by that phrase if you don't already know it.
    The other way is "reh-cored" which is generally when making (or listening to) an audio and/or video capture. Like "can you record a show for me?" "Did you record your interview?" "Where is that recording?"

He ended up wit 5 grandkids and 3 great grandkids. Lived long enough to witness one sui%cide, 2 teenage outside marriage pregnancies, 2 gays, one disabled, 1 bisexual, 1 transexual, 1 pansexual, 2 drug addicts and 3 alcoholics..

    The title story, I've heard it before, I think DarkFluff must have done it months ago (or you did).
    Story 4: I live in Canada too, I have almost NEVER put my wipers up, and they rarely have frozen to the windshield (and when they do, sometimes I can start the car, let it warm up as I manually wipe the snow off, and they either come free by then or the windshield is clear to drive and they melt free as I drive, and other times - when there's also frost/ice on the windshield I can't see through - when using the ice scraper it's easy to include scraping the ice to the wipers and knock them loose too (again while the car warms up). So it's weird to hear him talk about raising the wipers as an of course thing "if they forgot", LOL! I mean, usually I only see 1 in 10 cars do that, 1 in 20 do it every night of the winter, no matter the weather.

    like this Karen! I mean she pushed a kid into a river just because she “ruined” her video?
    personally if I had my way I would have just put her into 10 years mandatory military service. you know to get some discipline in her. but prison will do just fine.
    in regards to the fourth story: the guy had a point. they didn't want him to touch their stuff so he wouldn't do it again. and I don't agree with the wife saying that he should have helped her as this would be a good lesson for them to accept people's help when they offer it and not when they demand it. especially if you begin yelling at them in the middle of the night for just trying to help you.
    so I hope they enjoyed their frozen window wipers!
