Hello from Loveland, Colorado! This is my son’s account that I use because I don’t have any social media accounts. I want to thank you Stephanie, for helping me through Corona/lockdown and self isolation . I’m high risk and have left my home eight times since March. Mostly for doctor appointments because of my auto immune diseases. I found you on RUclips when you had 7000 subscribers. After watching my 1st LaLande episode, I fell in love with you, Mummy and all Lalande characters. I was also shocked that you did not have more subscribers! I’m so happy to see that your channel is growing. You, Mummy and everyone else at LaLande have given me so much happiness during this difficult time. I feel like I’m there with you all. Thank you so much for the happiness that you continue to give me and others. Please don’t stop, you’re awesome. Much love, keri
Hello Luke...I'm in Arvada CO and also have auto immune conditions that keep me from getting out...I became a patron of Chateau Diaries because the content is so uplifting. Welcome to the club! Stay healthy.
Luke, I'm in the same boat with diabetes and severe osteoporosis from the steroids I took for my autoimmune disease. I'm near the same age as Mummy. I would not survive this disease. I ship everything in and have a friend who drops off the perishables. Dr. appts., drug store, and bank are my only outings. Thank goodness for FaceTime and this vlog. Stephanie and crew bring so much fun and joy to me and to so many others. She truly is a life saver. And like you, I felt like I was out at the brocante having shopping fun, too. Love and commiseration from Memphis, Tn.
That style of sofa with the three sides tied together with a tassel is called a Knole sofa, after the great house at Knole. It's perfect for your study! And the modeling of "finds" after brocante shopping is a MUST. Fashion show!
I loved it, and the prices are so so reasonable. Now I know why local antique dealers go to France on shopping trips. That cupboard that you showed us would cost over $1,000 here. Please share these trips more often.
Joan In Florida Obviously not well educated! You can wash them in boiling water daily! Buy several! Use disposable and change it when wet soiled and discard daily !
I think that comfort was the main factor in the sofa choice. As beautiful as the green one was, I imagine sitting on it for an extended amount of time would get uncomfortable where the other had that great snuggle into it appeal.
This is a magical episode! A girls retail therapy outing is a fabulous idea, showing us the charity shop with its amazing prices, the girls picking their treasures, and their shared excitement over each other's finds...love it! And of course, no shopping experience is complete without the fashion show at home and/or the absolute need to feather the nest with bits and pieces foraged from the hunt. I love that you showed how to create the beautiful table-scape at the end, that was perfect. More of these episodes, please!
🛍 Enjoyed the second hand Brocante expedition on Sunday. Some of those furniture items were rather dear, but I suppose we don't typically see those types of quality antiques in our local SoCal shops. ⚱Lovely to see Stephanie's festive summer tablescape w/all her fun finds. Dishes are my own Achilles heel. Beautiful blue rose soup tureen & yellow embroidered table linen set. 👀Can't wait to see her charming new settee in her own rooms. 💐Marie did a lovely job with her petite posie arrangements too. The pretty dark green pitcher was a good score too. 📷 Thx, ladies for the fashion show too👗. They looked absolutely fabulous in their new gear! 🐱Emily needs to find a fancy kimono for her sexy catsuit. Meow!
i really like Sundays at the chateau being your classic "lessons". I know they are a ton of work but I think there is help on the way. I would love more of the brocante mixed in with the regular ones. 😊
Fantastic! Nothing like retail therapy for bonding with friends. And what a haul! Brilliant. So satisfying. Yes, PLEASE have more of these. I miss brocante shopping.
Loved this vlog. PLEASE do more from your local brocante. The V&B set that you showed at the beginning is a major deal. One plate in the US goes for around $80 from that set.
Oh yes , please --- show us shopping @ the charity shops & share your finds --- it is so entertaining to see the treasures / their sumptuous quality & European style -- can't wait ! You ladies are all adorable!
I love your treasure hunts... the show and tell afterwards is such a laugh, makes Me feel a part of it . I certainly wish I was tagging along. You give me inspiration. Thanks. I’d love more.
Love the trips to your local charity shops. Please film more of these adventures. The new couch will be perfect for Stephanie's bedroom..pinks and comfy!
Yes, more brocante please!!! Loved everyone’s haul. No need to splash out the big bucks when you can find such good quality and fun things there. You can’t afford not to really!
Stephanie, thank you so much for today's delightful video on yesterday's shopping trip with your wonderful volunteers and/or guests. I'm new to your channel since last week and feel that each episode is the most refreshing mini-vacation taken, without leaving home. I have been looking forward to each new one, as I also take time to start at the beginning of your RUclips adventure. You definitely appear to be a woman who lives by faith, hard work, and several tons of joy. Not much in America is as old as your beautiful Chateau, so your DYI + family and friends project is truly inspiring. I loved the story of how you began with finding the Chateau through to where you are now with your patrons and volunteers. I live south of Seattle, USA where the oldest history here belongs to the number of American Indian tribes. I am thankful for their enriching heritage to the Pacific NW. The rest of our history began some decades after the French Revolution and continues to this day with newcomers. 😊
I love it when you visit the braccant or go shopping. It's interesting what there is in the shops. So much more interesting than the usual boring English shops
Brocante visits are so interesting so I would be delighted to see more. Loved everyone showing us their clothes at the end and seeing the table setting made up from your secondhand purchases🙂
I love that you've shared the brocante experience! I'm an American living in Asia and I MISS secondhand shops so much! Thanks for letting me live vicariously. :)
Love all your finds such great deals that everyone can participate in treasures for all such fun and then they will get a delicious meal by the fountain and enjoy the finds. Such fun and enjoyment for all of you so exciting.
Girls day out video! Who doesn't love snagging a great buy at the local thrift shop? Thanks for taking us along and I loved the fashion show at Lalande!
Stephanie: During this broadcast, one of the women from the chateau bought a set of old time scales at the second hand store. It would be nice to let them know that there is a vlog on RUclips which covers two cleaning and repairs of this apparatus which are very good. Have them look it up. Just trying to help.
Thank you so much for this episode, as a thrift shop lover myself I really enjoyed your trip to the brocante! I must say that the brocante is much more superior than the small second hand shops I have locally in the Netherlands. So it is thrilling to see such treasures :)
Yes, please, more brocantes buys. Not only is it fun to see you browse through the shops, but what you do with the pieces you've bought is an added bonus. The table looked very pretty with the flowers, napkins, and soup tureen. We see an item that looks exquisite and expensive only to find that it's very affordable.
So much fun!! My home is also filled with finds from local second hand shops or treasures I found online. I love the history and quality (and prices!) of these items. Please do more of these videos, they’re a joy!
Oh my goodness please, please do the hauls on some of the Sunday’s. I really enjoyed seeing all the goodies from your wonderful haul. Your table turned out gorgeous with the lovely tablecloth and the gorgeousness of that tureen was a wonderful find.Thank you so much for sharing. Love you all.❤️🌻
Loved seeing all the treasures at the Brocante. What an interesting place. It was such a joy to watch the outfits being tried on too. I loved that green sofa. I really hoped you would buy it. Definitely should do this once a month 👍😁
This was great! Please do more brocante videos & make it a recurring feature! Someone else @beauty maven has already commented on this but that is a very expensive knole sofa with the “tied” corners. Great find.
Wonderful finds at the market : I totally love the table all set with the dishes and all. With the addition of flowers by Marie it is gorgeous ! Stephanie, the sofa that you got is gorgeous, I am in love with the color ! I always go to brocante and, like you, I have many treasures (lots of dishes) and it is fantastic because I love to invite and change the table setting for different occasions, seaons, holidays, etc. ! This is the proof that when you go often, you can find fantastic treasures for almost nothing. !!
One man’s junk is indeed another man’s Treasure!! In this case is a woman’s treasure for sure ..🤭🤗😍I enjoy watching you Stephanie wisely hunting your treasures☺️🥰 🥂💕a fan from far away LaLaland NZ.. 🇳🇿
We would love to see more of your charity shop finds and outings, i love second hand shops and im missing visiting them as here in Melbourne Australia we are still in lockdown and still will be for at least another 3 weeks so I'm really loving your vlogs even more then I normally do and it gives me something to look forward to so thank you so much for sharing your life with us and you dont know how much it means to so many of us to be able to have your vlogs to keep us sane during this horrible time, you have kept so many of us from going totally insane so a big thank you from Melbourne Australia to everyone at the chateau and a massive big thank you to Stephanie, Stephanie you feel like a part of our family which is strange as we have never met but we all love you and mummy and we love watching your lives and can't thank you enough. Take care xo Michelle
Love the brocante trips, and to see how the items make their way into your chateau and how to use them in various settings. I'd say once a month would be a good frequency (some may not like them, similar to the Cadeaux at the Chateaux). THat leaves you with 3 slots for Q and A, in-depth topic presentation or minitrip to a local cultural place, etc 😊
I would love to see more of the charity shops!

What a lovely message ❤️🇦🇺 I hope you stay well during this trying time and hopefully we are through it soon.

I agree, Cynthia! We must see the lovely finds styled at the end! Amazing video, Stephanie, as always :) xoxo
So glad for your knowledge of the sofa, makes it just perfect! Thank you!
The life-long thrifter in me felt actual pain of not being there. Lol. What a place! ❤️❤️
Same!!lol
I understand your pain.
More please!! I'd love a bi monthly treasures haul!! Everyone was so happy!
I'd love to see more treasures from the brocante.
Emily’s fashion show was the best!
I loved it, and the prices are so so reasonable. Now I know why local antique dealers go to France on shopping trips. That cupboard that you showed us would cost over $1,000 here. Please share these trips more often.
Yes antiques/vintage in USA are almost ridiculous (unless your a seller, of course)
Dans family is just lovely. His wife is gorgeous even with a mask and the boys are precious.
Joan In Florida Obviously not well educated! You can wash them in boiling water daily! Buy several! Use disposable and change it when wet soiled and discard daily !
Why you didn’t get the green sofa??? Omg is so so beautiful, stephh go back and get it 😂😂
Francisca Martinez Verdugo I was thinking the same! And I was wondering how much it’d be to ship to Canada. 😜
Same, but I would have bought the wardrobe too! They would look lovely together in a bedroom.
Sherpa Derpa hahah not very convenient :(
Lady Jane yeahhh! The wardrobe ir absolutely beautiful too, i want all! Hahah
I think that comfort was the main factor in the sofa choice. As beautiful as the green one was, I imagine sitting on it for an extended amount of time would get uncomfortable where the other had that great snuggle into it appeal.
That black unisuit would look amazing with a kimono or one of those robes from 100stars!
Yes, haori, a short kimono jacket would be super cute!
Yes! I thought the same! 👍🏻

Love the brocantes in France!
This is my thing I love to shop !!
Very enjoyable and a great idea for recurring segments.
......what treasure you all found and how delightful to share in the hunt.
I didn't recognise Dan at all until someone said his name. Who is this clean gentleman with adorable child ? 😂
Hell yes please for the brocantes x
Love the brocante trips, and to see how the items make their way into your chateau and how to use them in various settings. I'd say once a month would be a good frequency (some may not like them, similar to the Cadeaux at the Chateaux). THat leaves you with 3 slots for Q and A, in-depth topic presentation or minitrip to a local cultural place, etc 😊
Stephanie thank you for the beautiful beautiful time we get to spend with you at lalande🙏🙏🌹🌹👍👍🕊🕊😇😇❤️❤️
