    Bought my own xpulse 5 days ago. I live in Himachal and am an architect. This bike is so underrated. I haven't seen a second one in my area since I bought mine. Have done 550 kms in just 5 days. Loving the bike. The only gripe is the subpar low beam intensity. Rest it's an awesome machine. Not meant for hooning around but certainly a good highway companion. Also is quite fun on the twisties as long as you keep it within it's limits and manage your expectations. Off road on this machine is a cake walk. Way better than the utterly cumbersome Himalayan. Nice to see this machine being appreciated by a like minded person. Cheers mate.

    what I really like about TFF is that he reports things as they are and there is no dramatisation of anything. He is a good man and that comes through. I became a huge fan after I watched his Tibet series - it was almost like I saw tibet through his eyes and lens. His camerawork is excellent and artistic and the editing slick. One of the better you tubers going. Once this corona menace is over, Im looking forward to seeing more places through his lens.

    Very great review brother, I suggest you to leave the bike in idle for at least a minute before turning it off. Because the oil in the engine should get a proper circulation during the idle rpms and if it's turned off during a long or hard run, bcoz of the heat ,the value door package gets worn out and you might have some oil leak in the engine head. I hope this would be useful for every riders. Thank you 😊

    This is For XPulse Tourers - Sprocketing for taller gear ratio for highway rides / touring
    I have a 2022 Xpulse 200 4v. As we know it touches 90kmph speed at around 6000 rpm. As we know peak torque comes in at around 6500 rpm. Any engine would operate at its peak efficiency around the RPM where it makes peak torque. Beyond this the engine wouldn't be operating efficiently. Also it would be healthy to operate it within this RPM especially for long durations. I wanted to cruise comfortably at around 100kmph especially since I do frequent long rides like Bangalore to Kanyakumari for instance which is around 700km. I recently change my stock chain sprocket set with the one which comes with the XPULSE 200 2V model. Everything is same except the rear sprocket which is 38 tooth when compared to 4v model's 45tooth rear sprocket. As per calculation it results in 15% taller gearing which yields 15% higher top speed. Tested it for around 500 kms before writing this. The initial pick up is slightly compromised. So it would'nt be great for hard core dirt track riders or racers. But for touring it is awesome. I am now able to touch close to 90kmph at around 5000 rpm and 104 kmph at around 6000 rpm. The engine runs in a cool manner and this would be due to bike making more speed with lesser engine RPM.
    Gears and Speed:
    The feel in 1st and 2nd gears are almost same except for slightly lesser pickup.
    In 3rd gear you have to use it till 40 to 45kmph speed and then can shift to 4th gear
    45 to 60 - 65 kmph in 4th gear and after that can go to 5th gear.
    It takes a little bit time to get used to this different feel.
    As the engine has good amount of bottom and mid range torque the taller gearing doesn't seem to be a problem.
    Mileage:
    If I cruise at 90 to 100 kmph speed I am getting around 50+ kmpl mileage.
    Gear Indicator :
    Problem is that the gear indicator doesn't show accurate gears. This is because hero doesn't use a sensor to detect gear position. The ECM calculates speed and engine rpm and arrives at the gear number. This is the reason gear indicator goes blank whenever we press the clutch lever.
    Conclusion:
    This would be helpful for those who love long rides and touring. The engine runs cool, better mileage, much smoother as it is running at lower rpm at given speed. Will be able to use each gears for a wider range of speed. Gives more flexibility for different kind of roads. For instance on small state highways with lot of twisties I could go upto 4th gear as I couldn't cross 60 to 65 kmph speed in such roads. It was good feel. I got the 2v sprocket from here - sparify.co/.../hero-x-pulse-200-200fi-rolon-chain... which seems to be a lot more cheaper than from the service center.

Two journeys, one of around 500 kms which I did in 10 hrs due to darkness early morning, and other of 450 kms which I did in around 7 hours, with maximum speed of 105, and average speed is a math question. Lol. All in all, quite a smooth ride. Missed the 6th gear. Seat is uncomfortable (despite having a Hero seat cover) but riding pants helped cushion.

    I have also faced the same issue on the xpluse. Later I used my friend air seat. It was best of any other seat. It cost around 2K. Really value for the money. Pls try air seat. Every one can ride ALL DAY LONG.

    Riding into the rising Sun must have been a real pain. Going East I prefer to leave in the late morning. For the same reason going West, the late afternoon/evening is very difficult.

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  3 года назад +2

      Very true. But, the early morning start really helps especially on days when I'm looking to cover distance. Fortunately, the initial part of the ride was North(ish) to Bengaluru, so by the time I properly turned East it was a lot more manageable.

    It was October 2019 and I was in deep shit regarding my college exams.
    So one fine Saturday, I took my Access 125 and made a long highway trip.
    Access 125 BS4 2017 model
    Vizag(AP) to Kakinada(AP) and Kakinada(AP) to Vizag(AP)
    372 kms round trip.
    It is the most memorable day of my life and I could regain my mental strength.

      Is Access good for long trip? How's the riding comfort?

    • @sisir37
      @sisir37 3 года назад +3

      @@muhammedfahim5927 Access has better riding comfort than any other mainstream scooters like activas, maestros, vespas
      It's low weight, so can be used in city easily, and has good suspension to overcome potholes.
      Scooters are not made for long trips. The engines heat up pretty quickly. But many people did Kanyakumari to Khardung La on scooters.
      If you need a vehicle for long rides, go for a bike.
