I've just arrived here by parachute.S I'm Brazilian, I'm in my mid-30s, I graduated in electrical engineering last year and I'm stuck in a job that supports me... which I hate. I've changed environments a few times, and each time I could feel that I'd made some progress. But I'm tired! Tired of being underpaid! Tired of Mondays! Tired of not having the quality of life and freedom to have children without worrying about whether I'll be able to afford it. This video changed my mind, brought me a little light. Thank you for the videos. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope I can do something with this light you've brought upon me.

Hey Janderson! I'm from the U.S. but I speak Portuguese, random comment but I saw you translated "estou de paraquedas" to English. In English - it's not super common to say that but instead, you could say "I just stumbled across your channel"
Wishing you the best and hope you find work you love! 🙏

@@Lusomad_alli Thank you so much! I'll try to remember that tip. I didn’t really think much about the 'arrived here by parachute' ("Caí de paraquedas", in portuguese) expression because it’s used a lot here in Brazil. Thanks again! ☺

    Another great video!
I’ve been following since you started and the growth is incredible to watch.
You reached out to me 11/2019 to feature me on the blog at the time and I could kick myself for not writing it up.
Going through a tough time at the time and it got out in the back burner.
But I stayed following ever since.
    Keep up the great work!

I needed this today. I was born an entrepreneur. I’ve had many businesses - failed ones and semi successful ones. And right now I’m drowning after a legal battle with a co-founder. And it’s time to go all in on one of my businesses that intersects with my passion and that has been gaining traction organically over the years. Thank you - really.

You missed the point completely... the point is we all have problems in life. He took one of his and created the thing that would've helped him the most. He's helping people who can relate to his own problem. The kind of business/brand you should start is something you are passionate about that helps solve a problem for your kind of people. You have to believe you can do something bigger, accept that with success comes failures, and learn how to control yourself.
Do that by realizing what your burning desire is, put a strong why and how behind it, and get to work building the thing. Hope this helps anyone who's looking to make that change🫶

Very inspiration video! I followed the same path, college, a good paying career as a technical writer, marriages, kids, etc. Then one day, I realized i needed more. I started my own photo and video creative business in 2016. I ran my company as a side hustle until I saved enough money to pay all my bills for a year. Then, in December 2021, I quit my full time job and went all in with my company. I told myself that if I could not make it running my own company in one year, I would go back to work. Well, it is now the4 end of 2024 and I have not looked back. My company is still running with my youngest son as a full time employee. We are not wealthy, but we are both very happy doing what we love together everyday. I am now 50 years old. If I can do it, anyone can. Don't just follow your dreams, chase them! Necessity is the mother of all invention.

I've been a business owner for over ten years now. In many ways, I just created a job for myself and squeak by. Ive always been very creative though.
About a year or so, I came up with a unique idea but never followed up besides documenting it. Now Im on a new journey. I came up eith a completely new product, Im prototyping it and talking with manufacturers. My mistake last time was not running with my idea. This time, I'm moving forward and wont stop til I succeed or fail. I think half the challenge with being creative is following through and moving forward. For me, listening to success stories of other people and hearing their struggles and how they overcame them gives me strength to keep putting one foot after the other. Thanks for putting this channel together and in turn, helping me with my journey.

The problem with me is that I always get stuck or frozen when it is time to pick up from where I left off. You won’t be able to stick to a plan and continue it for two straight weeks; you will always have things to attend to or places to be. If you have a family, then you will have more distractions. I’m totally fine with it, but it’s so hard to pick up from where I left off after attending to those duties. I don’t know why I always feel like giving up at that point. I’m always questioning the process and having second thoughts. I don’t know why it happens. Sometimes, it takes me months to reset. It’s so frustrating to feel that way. :(

i agree with everything except for passion. This is my opinion but from books i’ve read (Ego is the enemy and more). Instead of finding some you’re passionate about, look for something that is purposeful. Find your purpose, chase that purpose and build a business around it. Having purpose is the ultimate motivational and disciplinary measure to achieve your goals. If your dreams and goals align with your purpose, nothing can stop you until you achieve this.

Hi, I’m 14 and I just want you to know that you can do it. Try to acquire some skills and find out what you would like to do in life. ❤

I’d recommend the book “Do What You Are” by Paul D. Tieger and Barbara Barron. But also remember you’re not tied to one career, what may be a good fit now may not be 10-15 years from now, shifts in passions happen. Best wishes to you!

I am pretty much on the same path as you did, being a software engineer is really a golden handcuff that’s too good to wear. However, I had decided to craft out a different life and I am starting my own email newsletter and personal brand! Let’s keep up together

First of all, isn't that the Tampa Airport? Nice to see a fellow Floridian on the platform. What to say, every time I watch a video like this I lose confidence in my videos. The level is so high and I don't know who edited but it was awesome! Do you do everything by yourself?
