Super inspiring story man! Great to see fellow Canadians killing it. I think the reason why brands/people don't lean into building community (the way you guys have) is because it takes time, patience & a willingness to grind. People have been sold on this concept that they can throw up a ton of ads & make the big bucks, but almost everyone fails to factor in idea that business isn't just selling, it's a continuation upon selling; the formation of a relationship. Love what you're doing here. Old school concepts with new age mindset. Keep on keepin on 👍
Do you guys have stores in USA? I lived here for 20 years but never heard your company. I am a face down sleeper and I will buy a pillow that works lol

All these success story’s have something in common, they started instead of just talking about it , it’s like that with anything in life , going to gym , paying off dept , just put on foot forward and keep trucking
@@mrnorbotron3308if a person have the motivation to improve , they will always find a way , I had a friend who worked two jobs, as a manager in a company, good income , asked me to borrow him some money, promised to return next week, 4 months later he still owes 1/3 of the original amount because he don’t know how to save money, as I grow up and seeing more people , I realize so many people never wanted to improve their life .
Congratulations. This is what the game is all about. Serving others, building something great, taking risks, perseverance, enjoying the adventure and reaping the reward.
Thank you so much for this video starter story in these uncertain times it is more important than ever to have a solid understanding of how to manage your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. they are smart and they are clear about their objective which is making money, not changing the world, not building fancy AI stuff just making money love it
That customer feedback to product development iteration cycle is really common in tech startups. Really interesting to see it is applicable in other industries as well.
bro, no one asks you about your mattress and what you want, they would be excited to finally be able to give some feedback, everyone has mattress war stories :)
Dude these are epic, engaging and very entertaining. The storytelling is top teir from start to finish. Not going to lie, tried to watch another video and you have just set your benchmark with these new videos. Awesome job.🎉🎉
The only thing I don’t get is if the customer already bought a blanket then surely the reason they aren’t buying again is because they already have one? Am I missing something here, as to me a blanket is like a one time purchase
Literally what I thought lol. Like you don’t need a new blanket every month. I feel like they were glossing over a more complicated part of the story tbh.
This is a great story. One thing that stands out though is the acquisition was for 52% of the company with $25M in cash. A fantastic achievement in 48 months, but why not say they sold a majority stake for $25M which brought the valuation to $48M? Saying they sold for $48M is not accurate.
I deeply appreciate this insightful video, especially during these tumultuous times. Having a solid grasp of financial management, wise investing, and navigating economic uncertainty is crucial. However, my pressing concern is optimizing my idle $240,000 reserve, which has been generating minimal to no returns for far too long. While I'm committed to long-term growth, I'm eager to counteract inflation's erosion of my savings and daily portfolio losses. I urgently need a strategic solution to revitalize my investments.

Didn't catch this in the video. What drained Hush's bank account? After so much success how did they go broke after one summer of poor sales? Are the costs of maintaining this business that high? Overspend on inventory? Pretty wild detail that I didn't see and would have made a good lesson for us.
They didn’t properly forecast sales for summer so they were sat on too much stock that they couldn’t liquidate. The lesson: consider when and why your market buys. More people are likely to buy warm blankets in the colder months and never in the summer. Good idea to run a sale to clear your stock in spring to give you liquidity over summer. Also diversify your product offering so your business isn’t held to ransom by seasons.
I am glad their efforts did work out and they made a right decision of selling weighted blankets first without wasting any time or money for marketing. Not many people would have booked time with them to talk about what they need if they didn’t buy something from them before. And weighted blanket established that bridge and brought some sort of trust.
I've done a lot of these things and I can say that talking to customers is one of the most draining things I've ever experienced. Beneficial, but it was just painful. That is one reason why some people don't do it. It could just be a personality type that enjoys it, but I am pretty introverted and it just is what it is. I've done it a lot and in a sustained way, in case you think it was a fear thing. It never got better.

BY FAR the best video you've put out. This is exactly what I thought this channel would be when I saw my first video from you guys. Was a little disappointed back then. But this is legit.
The thing I like the most is the word Underdog having a bigger spot than the numbers. For me, the usual big catchy number has become a cheap resource (even though it works). That is why naming the video The Underdog made me perceive it as a more professional production. Also, the blur background and the focus on Aaron draws your eyes to him, creating a sort of connection. Overall, the thumbnail puts a focus on the story, rather than the number and I believe it improves the quality of the production and it differentiates from the rest of tik tok style videos. I’m just talking as a viewer here so I'm sure there are a lot of other things to consider. You're videos are improving everyday, I hope this helps you keep doing that! 😁
