Thank you so much for all your tutorials, I'm learning lots and having lots of fun trying to make cc. I was wondering if you know the banana leaf style wallpapers, I really like them as an accent wall, and I want the rest of the room to be the exact plain background colour of the banana leaf wall, with the same trim colour. Unfortunately EA doesn't have matching ones. So i tried to take the one swatch with a plain green wall and the right trim and make it the same colour (the pinkish background) as the banana leaf wall. But if i want to keep the shadows, I can't just pipette the pink colour of the banana leaf wall, so I have to work with a transparent (don't even know if that is necessary) layer. I managed to match the medium wall to the banana leaf wall, but I was wondering if there is a way I can copy the settings of that layer and apply it to the short and tall walls or do I have to manually change it to match the colour (it's quite a pain). I hope my explanation of what I want to achieve is understandable at all... Anyway if you know a way of changing and matching these I would love a tutorial on it :)
Hi! I'm trying to recreate the sidewalks from all the worlds as tileable floor options, but I'm having a hard time getting the "sides" of the slabs to show up. Do you have a tutorial on recoloring anything with an edge to it, so it's not seamless? Thank you!
I have a question for you about meshes for objects! Is there some sort of cheat sheet or way to find out the exact size of things in the game? Since you cannot build walls on half or quarter grid lines, I'm on a quest to make my own decor object that is just a solid block the same height as all the wall heights, and the width and depth of a half grid/quarter grid. The point is for it to line up perfectly with a regular wall, giving the illusion that it's not an object but actually a part of the wall. I would then edit the texture to be the same as whatever wallpaper I'm using. My main problem is that I have no idea what height/width/depth my object should be in Blender for it to match the The Sims 4 grid, since Blender wasn't made specifically for The Sims and therefore doesn't natively just "know" how big a grid block is. Any advice?
You are so awesome for doing that! What a brilliant idea! Maybe you could use some objects that are the wall hight? If you own City Living or Eco Lifestyle, I'm pretty sure slate tiles (City Living) and lines in the wall (Eco Lifestyle) are the exact same size as the walls are. It sucks there's nothing in base game.
@@simsina I don't own either of those unfortunately, but I'll see if someone I know does and can figure out the height for me! I know a lot of people "solve" their construction problems with items in certain packs, but it's really important to me that a basegame option exists for the ones who can't! If I do figure it out, I'll be sure to report back!
@@Jabberwocky7890 only other items that come to mind are columns or those modern windows and doors that cover the whole wall and they exist. Maybe there're some some debug items. Again, it's super cool idea and even better you want to make it BG compatible!!
Thank You! The non-matching floor and wall tiles have annoyed me for so long. :D
Very easy, very clear. Thank you!
