Thanks for the video! I actually really like this kind of content where you introduce a few words, that way we can learn along with you! Just imagine you have 100 videos and you teach 10 words in each video! that's 1000 words! It'll be a fun way to learn that's for sure! It wouldn't even matter if some words were repeated haha
Hey Paddy, I hope you keep making more of these vids - I got to test my Thai words and I already knew 7 of the 11 so I'm feeling really proud of myself :)
Your channel taught me that anyone can learn Thai. A few months ago I was learning Thai but I gave up because my memory skills are terrible! Now in quarantine this summer I'll begin to learn Thai since I finished 9th grade early. Any tips for retaining Thai vocab and lessons I study?
So glad that it has inspired you in the way! Anyone can do it 💪 Honestly hard to give tips around retention, but just try to find 10 minutes every day to go over past lessons/vocab 👍
@@ThaiTalkwithPaddy thanks for replying i am such a huge fan of your yt channel :0 :) also thanks for your advice it helped alot have a good day mate love your videos keep doing what you do! :)
Shes the reason why i fell in love with china and started learning. Now i fell in love with thai and i just watch your videos. You have so many so im glad i have plenty to watch hehe :)
This is great! You should add this word memory as a segment to each video - as in two or three times in a video you should cut to you giving a word, and then at the end go through them again to see what the audience retains. It would be a fun, interactive and helpful tool!
Chob mak!! Seeing you guys in one content! Anna already improve cuz she is now your co host! LMAO. I like this because its educational and fun! More of this please! Tho its such a basic but still helpful! 💜
I love durian cake a.k.a "durian stick" ! They are expensive here in the states and they are very skinny rolls like the one Amy was holding. The durian cakes you get in Thailand are much thicker!
I defiantly have to go and visit moo gra ta in Thai town, i haven't tried this out yet, ive been to a Korean BBQ before, but this looks much tastier. Good to see you making videos again mate. Enjoyed this one. Take care paddy
Congrats on 100 K👍! Remember the first time in Thailand. Went to a restaurant alone and saw people eating Thai BBQ -Mookada. Ordered it. Had no idea what I was doing/how huge the amount of food was for one...meant to be shared for sure. #10. "busy" - ยุ่ง yung (falling tone), if one just says, yung (mid-tone) - may sound like "mosquito" to many Thai speakers... Anna ~ bit of a star now 🤩. Great to see Anna again.
I love this channel and your cool personality Paddy, I had been thinking about learning thai for a while but I think now is the time to get started! Will update you on progress in the future
I died! 5555 I’ve worked at a Thai restaurant for about six months now so I have really good “kitchen Thai“ and when I learned the word for pork which is “moo” I also thought the same thing! Then of course my next question was “what sound does a cow make, do cows walk around Thailand saying “pork”. 😂
Hello kaa P' Paddy...i really like to watch ur video...can i recommend one of content video that u should do in ur next video ? I wish u can make a video to teach how to master the thai alphabet 🥺🥺
Hey Nadhirah! Thanks for watching!! I actually have made a similar video in the past called “how to learn to read Thai in 1 month” which talks a little bit about that!
Quality video Paddy, love those vocab games that you play, great to get some revenge on Amy but a dangerous game to play next time out if she is testing you with any Chinese language. Looking forward to the next video as always and again congrats on smashing the 100k subs.
Watching Paddy's video definitely able to learn something new, for example: Dtua eng, kin ENG tii ban = 自己在家里吃。 sometime direct translate from chinese make more sense....🤣
Hi, Paddy! I’ve enjoyed your amazing channel from the States. Question. Is it necessary to learn to roll your “r’s” to speak Thai especially like the Thai word for “delicious?” Again, fantastic content!
Hey Tony! Thanks a lot for the kind message. It definitely helps you sound a bit more fluent if you can roll the “r’s” - just sounds a bit more like a native Thai speaker. Best of luck with it!
Most central Thai people (especially in Bangkok) just pronounce this closer to an L, in a ‘lazy’ roll like ‘alloy’ which makes it easier, and more authentic.
A perfect video with the 2 girls. It worked perfect. I've gotta say my favourite Thai food is pad Thai. I just can't take to the spicey stuff. Thanks paddy.
I have a question for you. What does the ft. mean? As in ft. Blondie in China. By the way, I'm so jealous of how well she can roll her Rs. I'm hopeless at it. Tried most of my life to perfect it while speaking Spanish, but my tongue just won't roll. 🤪
You can’t use ยุ่ง to describe a place which is crowded. This word is used when you are busy(have a lot of work) or hair or stuff being messy, that’s what I understood 😳
There's a bunch of words for different kinds of hotpot in Thailand. When you can read a bit of the Thai alphabet you can see that they often write the Japanese words in Thai letters. Another common word for a kind of hotpot in Thailand is "suki" from Japanese "sukiyaki".
Thanks for the video!

Definitely worth checking out Justin! Absolutely delicious
เวลาที่เราพูดภาษาอังกฤษ คนออสซี่ก็จะฟังสำเนียงเราแบบคุณพูดแบบนี้เลย แต่ทำไมออสซี่ถึงรำคาญต่างชาติที่พูดอังกฤษไม่เก่ง แต่คนไทยกลับรู้สึกฝรั่งพูดไทยไม่ชัดกลับน่ารัก
I learn a lot thai language because of paddy. And I'm chinese which I can understand much. Love this guy mak mak

Especially funny as the word for cat is ‘meaw’ (แมว)
Paddy, the end of this video is incredibly funny, revenge is a stick served cold 😂

Moo grob rules the Thai cuisine ! Have you tried it and if so, what do you think?
You and Anna would make a gorgeous couple ngl ❤️
I agree!! What is Paddy waiting for?
ฮามาก😆 แต่ผมชอบ
True to form, the Neapolitan ice-cream had its typical shape; low chocolate, low strawberry, and a peak of untouched vanilla.
God-tier comment!
So fun. Should rope me in
nice video dude
i thought borders were closed ?
Awesome
Could you turn down the sound effects on the video please? Its pretty loud with headphones on haha
Amy is so beautiful 🥰 suay makkkk
(Sompe) means sour (muk giang) means oranges
I had a laugh thanks bro
I swear if Thai was written phonetically I’d be so good
Would you please send us this Thai Restaurant's name and address? We are quite eager to try
Capital Thai - Campbell St Haymarket ✌️
A perfect video with the 2 girls. It worked perfect. I've gotta say my favourite Thai food is pad Thai. I just can't take to the spicey stuff. Thanks paddy.
Thanks Martin! Makes it super easy when you are working with these two!
สุดยอดเหมือนเดิมครับ แต่เหมือนเกมไม่ค่อยยุติธรรมกับเอมี่เลยนะครับ 555+

ประชากรเขามีคุณภาพด้วยครับ
This type of food is more a Mongolian BBQ come Chinese soup thing than a Traditional Thai way of eating.
He was totally trying to score a date with Amy 🤣
i think she got a nice pronounciation already :O, shed learn quickly
Very impressive really!
I've made the same comment myself regarding Moo being pork LOL
You can’t use ยุ่ง to describe a place which is crowded. This word is used when you are busy(have a lot of work) or hair or stuff being messy, that’s what I understood 😳
It's okay Paddy I think you're very handsome xD
Moo (pork) is what I call my baby cousin 55555
If you're going to rename หมูกระทะ, as Amy suggests, wouldn't it more appropriately be renamed อู๊ดกระทะ rather than oink-กระทะ?
Is Paddy your real name or your 'Thai name'?
My real name is Patrick but most people everywhere call me Paddy!
Menu? Why not call it a รายการอาหาร? (-:
Yall don't have to wear masks at all anymore? ...Waiting for that day. 🥺Great video!
Not really that much in Australia!
Just eaten and now I'm hungry again 😅
I've heard the term by a Thai friend said "shabu shabu" for this hot pot though bro
"Shabu shabu" refers to Japanese hot pot.
There's a bunch of words for different kinds of hotpot in Thailand. When you can read a bit of the Thai alphabet you can see that they often write the Japanese words in Thai letters. Another common word for a kind of hotpot in Thailand is "suki" from Japanese "sukiyaki".
@@celeryman7328 Thanks for the info mate
@@andrewdunbar828 O well, I gotta learn to read & write Thai then. Anyway, really thanks for the info mate.
I liked your videos but then you said kimchi is overrated and now my heart is broken 😂😂
I knew that would be controversial! 😂
อยากย้ายไปอยู่ออสเตรเลียจังครับแพดดี้
你好
Pretty cool name "Oink Gra Ta"
All i learned was Moo means Cow and Oink means Pork !!
unbelievable, I've just watched her channel when I search for Xishuangbanna before I see her in your channel.
ᦉᦲᧇᦉᦸᧂᦗᧃᦓᦱ! After COVID they can go back there together and Paddy can compare his Thai with the local Dai language.
Paddy, if the place is packed you wouldn't say ยุ่ง you say คนเยอะ. ยุ่ง is more like you have lot of work to get done.
สอนกันเน้นๆเลย 55
👍👍
Can I just say that most thai people can't even remember their own alphabet😅
5/11 but if you count the tone mistakes hmmmm lol
My Thai is 100% and Issan 50% But I am not good at reading 5% 555+
I can eat fresh Durian but Durian stick make me throw up.I can’t stand the smell.

เยสเข้ ! Yed khe! # is cool .
