That's a lot of miles on that angle grinder. When you use the same tool for everything, you get really good at it. The only other tool I saw was that bench grinder, but that is basically the same tool. Impressive.

So, that’s steel that has been pre-forged. Most people think blacksmiths always drew out metal from scratch. Great black smiths always had blanks to start crafting from.

закалка без отпуска? а снятие напряжений после закалки? очень неоднозначно....но работа проделана достойно
Дуже файно. Але по факту це не кинджал. Це боуі. Кинджал це двостороннє затрачений досить великий симетричний ніж ( хіба що за виключенням бебута) . Бебут має вигнуте лезо, але теж з двосторонньою заточкою . Майстер уміє робити але не розбирається в термінах .

Я все же выскажусь.Если цель просто сделать лопату, то да, получилось. Шлифовка болгаркой, это такой шик да? Болгарка вылижет поверхность, и нож ровным не будет. С первого взгляда не увидишь, но при детальной проверке сразу бросается в глаза. В принципе, когда ничего в мастерской нет, вполне не плохо, но, у человека явно не простая мастерская, так зачем? При всем уважении к мастеру, но это просто шаг назад.
Спасибо за ваше мнение и критику. Вы правы, шлифовка болгаркой может не дать идеальную ровность. Я всегда стремлюсь улучшить свои методы и качество работы. Ваши замечания помогут мне двигаться вперед и совершенствоваться. Благодарю за внимание и поддержку! 😊🔨

whats the point of using toothpaste with what looks like a 50 or 80 grit sand paper? i understand why you would polish with toothpaste but why use it when course sanding? what whats the point of neutralizing the acid in the coke and then spraying it? the point of an acid is to to get some kind of finish isnt it?

Bravo! What a great display of your skilled craftsmanship on this splendid Commando Knife. You first conceived the design and then started sculpturing and fabricating the entire knife without using a forge (except to heat treat the knife, could have even used a household oven) or power hammer. This was an entertaining example of making objects, especially in a skilled way, using the simplest forms by using only hand and hand power tools. Thank you. I have already started my reproduction of your Commando Knife. I started with spring steel and will emulate you with only using hand and hand power tools but will heat treat my knife in my spare oven. The truth is, I'm not a knife (Metal) maker just a hobbyist woodworker trying to expand my knowledge base. I do not have a forge, power hammer, or any Blacksmiths tools.
