There’s so much to think about in the run-up to Maybe being a 1st-round pick on the big night that they probably don’t spend a lot of time training for the phone procedure if they Do win at life and get drafted on night 1.
It’s just funny and cute and everyone thought so. He’s gonna be a great Viking.

See Vikings fans didn't believe me when I said they had Mekhi Blackmon really high on there board they talked about taking him at 87 then Kwesi and Kevin talked about if he would make it to pick 102 because they said we have to survive 8 more picks to get Blackmon and then early on day 3 they were in love with Jay Ward because of coaches from LSU on the current staff they feel like they got guys that were overlooked. They plan to make Jay Ward a Nickel which is really what they need eveyone keeps saying Byron Murphy will kick inside on Nickel but if they can find a solid nickel he won't have to it gives them more options to fill holes. I hated the 2022 draft except for 2 picks and this draft Kwesi and staff were much more prepared and I love what they did this is gonna be a good class plus the UDFAs they got 3 of them I thought were going to get drafted so I'm happy with young talent they are bringing to camp now it's about development
Totally agree. They were dialed in. I didn't even know who Blackmon was but god damn, now I've seen him play he's my favourite pick. Don't know how the rest of the league missed him. Who are the two 2022 draft picks you liked out of curiosity?

He’s not the HC or the GM. Coordinators aren’t ever publicly presented as draft participants. It’s officially a front office / personnel dept / GM activity, and HCs are shown as coaching-side consultants. It’s how it’s always been. That’s part of how a “head coach” is more than just one of two coordinators.
@@frozennorth3426 Wes Phillips was in there talking with O'Connell and trying to be on the phone with Addison. He has even less of a role than Flores does. I'd just think he'd be active in the selection of defensive players.
@@Isosceles8818 you may be basing some assumptions about various people’s roles in draft process on a short promotional video. I’m not in a position to help you succeed with that. I hope you find the information you seek.
@frozen north it's not that serious, man. I just genuinely don't understand why he wouldn't be in that room. It doesn't matter regardless, Flores is still gonna coach the defense, and I'm sure he was a part of the talent evaluation process. Thanks for the replies.

As a Lions fan - my favorite pick is Addison... The very first words out of his mouth "Let's get Paid!!!" When he was called by the team... Love it - keep drafting guys just like him !!! #OnePride (meanwhile, the Bears are starting to do things that worry Lions fans...) That's before he hung up for the first of five times... Lions used to draft guys JUST LIKE THIS... Can you imagine this dude trying to learn plays when he can't even speak on the phone 😅

He sure does seem humble in any interview I’ve seen. I know KOC and KAM have had a lot more interview time with the young man than we’ve seen, so it’s obviously theirs to say, but even his publicly viewable interviews show his humility as a top-level athlete.

I agree with you, but Deion Sanders had a similar attitude, and that worked out pretty well. We can nit pick everything these guys do till were blue in the face, but we won't truly know if they're great until they get on the field.
You don't get paid if you don't perform. I'm not worried about it.

Hopefully Addison isnt that much of a ditz on the field as he was with a phone... Love all the picks but the 1st overall pick of a WR with Porter Jr sitting there seemed off but... believe in the plan! SKOL
He wasn’t a ditz. He’s a sharp kid. They weren’t necessarily clear about the process and these kids are often surrounded by rooms full of excited people, and a respectful person would know that they’re very busy on draft night and assume it’s going to be a quick call with followup later. Even on TV they’ll rarely show someone talking to a bunch of people, and I doubt a lot of 22-year-olds have watched a ton of draft calls in their entirety. I don’t think you need to worry about it, but you’re welcome to.
@@frozennorth3426 I'm sorry but with a 1st round talent player - their agents prepare them for what to expect throughout the night including after they get selected.. At least I would assume that's how it works.
