I've learned so much more from Shayda than any art teacher or professor from school. They were way too strict in what they expected from me. I've gotten so much more joy from my art by learning from Shayda.
The thumbnail of this video blows my mind. That's what dedication, passion, and practice will do! I love seeing your work side by side to show your progress, Shayda! That would be a killer video 💛
Thank you so much, Shayda. You are an incredibly gentle and inspiring teacher who just knows exactly the right ways to teach, motivate, and excite your students! You are one of my favourite artists of all time, and I say that with the utmost sincerity. I’m so excited that you’re opening your own prints shop! Yay for Shayda prints! I always wish you success and happiness and great things - thank you for everything!! ❤
Hello Heather how's the weather over there? Thanks 😊 for your positive review, I am mark by name and I do want us to be friends okay. Where are you from?
Thank you Ms. Shayda. I have been studying and learning with you since 2017. You are the kindest, most patient and loving person. Some times a bit fast, but that is the beauty of Patron, I get to rewind and learn at my own pass. God bless you on your new journeys in life and business. ❤
Wow Shayda, this is great! I’ve been watching you for a few years and practiced watercolors in the privacy of my craft room. Watching this today I see that you improved, grew and have come into your own style and wonderful artistry. But what I also saw in todays video is the confidence in which you showed from the early days to day. You are always confident to try new things, be free with your paints, brush strokes, watercolor magic, even when you were learning and improving. Thank you for teaching me an invaluable lesson in todays video. ❤ I’m grateful
Been loving your channel for almost 2 years now. Very inspiring! Got the Floral power e-course and am looking forward to diving into that. Congrats for the print shop !!
Hello Susan how's the weather over there? Thanks 😊 for your positive review, I am mark by name and I do want us to be friends okay. Where are you from?
You were on of the first artists that I discovered and followed when I started watercolor 5 years ago. Thank you for all of the time and talent that you share on your channel and in your classes. You have occasionally worked with gouache in some of your tutorials and I would love to learn more about painting florals in gouache. Would it be possible for you to create a playlist of the tutorials you have where you used gouache?
Hello dear friend how's the weather over there? Thanks 😊 for your positive review, I am mark by name and I do want us to be friends okay. Where are you from?
You are a lovely person and a wonderful instructor. But I just have to say, stylistically I actually prefer the softness of your "flatter" style of flowers. I appreciate what you are demonstrating in this video, but to me this style is the stiffer and pokier one.🤷♀️ Both fabulous - don't get me wrong! - just one touches my heart more. I guess it's the old truism: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. " Thanks for all you do and for inspiring us to keep finding freshness and joy in our art.💗💕 Your own work is beautiful, from early beginnings right on through to today.🌷 Congratulations on your new print venture!
Look at you....what an instructor giving an overview, making your tips concise and most importantly instilling confidence! From the beginning of your tutorial, I learned a valuable skill. Storing art in a filing cabinet. My stuff is in standing position on a shelf in the closet wedge between a stapler and art supplies always slouching. Thank you for sharing all your techniques and grand art. I now save your tutorials in three different categories... Why? Well ...just in case .
Beautiful Shayda! Loving the new hair color too. The upkeep will be much easier than the silvery blonde you’ve had. As a former hair stylist who has had every color in the spectrum, I kinda know.😂
Amo tus vídeos, estoy apenas comenzando a pintar acuarela y he estado viendo un montón de vídeos para aprender, pero sin duda tú eres la mejor! Saludos desde México. Y felicidades por el millón de seguidores
Hullo Shayda, I enjoyed watching you crystallize and bring your 5 tips together in this video! So well done, congratulations! I am a fairly new subscriber and I am enjoying seeing you create some amazing content with joy and excitement. I wish you only the best going forward with your prints! If I can offer just a hint? As you post prints for sale you might want to re-paint or edit previous videos that featured the prints that you are releasing for sale! Just getting those of us who are newer and exciting those who may or may not remember seeing you create them. Create that excitement for each picture as you scan or photograph them and have prints ready for your fans to buy! I can paint just about any subject, yet I still purchase the occasional painting or print to support artist that I admire and wish to see successful, yes you are one of them! Thank you for sharing all of your expertise and joy in creating with us. Please take care, stay safe and enjoy your day!
Loved this and so enjoy your work. You have a very good eye for composition and color combinations. For me that’s the hardest to get right. Thanks for sharing your tips. PS: I love to doodle on Procreate and try to incorporate your methods there too.
Your painting tutorial is so relaxing and inspiring. Thank u souvh for sharing your insight on how you do your beautiful, beautiful artwork. Say... Do you have any picture book showcasing your work? If so I would love to purchase one:) Thanx again ❤️
I usually have difficulty knowing where to put the shadows or darker parts on the flowers with the wet on dry. Is there a rule of thumb you have for knowing where those would be best placed?
Generally, you get to decide where the light is coming from and then shade according to that. You can see me mess up and redo the shading in this painting: ruclips.net/video/woZrXkXDQ-I/видео.html Or I have some general shading videos: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=shayda+campbell+shading
I am in the market for water color brushes. @Shaydacambell What are your favorite brushes? I bought some cheaper ones and they are fraying already :-( Maybe a video on brushes would be sooo helpful like brands, care, tips on how to use or exercises to help get better at using the brushes. 🙂
The ones I am using here are Princeton Velvet Touch Brush Set: amzn.to/2WzSIKr Princeton Neptune Brush Set: amzn.to/3f9HEdb I usually use a round 2 or 3 brush for flowers. But a dedicated video is a great idea!

Hi iv just found your channel uk Ann 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️
Welcome!!
So off topic but have you heard of reverse coloring ?? I would love to watch a video on your thoughts and a demo ! ❤️🙏🏽
Your unique grip on the brush -- does this hold give you more control than, let's say, a traditional way to hold a writing pen or pencil?
Nope, just a bad habit
Oh, you went dark. I really like your white-blond hair though. 😅And thanks for sharing all your tipps. Love your channel. ❤
Your painting tutorial is so relaxing and inspiring. Thank u souvh for sharing your insight on how you do your beautiful, beautiful artwork. Say... Do you have any picture book showcasing your work? If so I would love to purchase one:) Thanx again ❤️
Thank you so much 😀 No books yet, but sometime I would love to do

Very inspiring! I just wish you spoke a bit slower, sometimes it was hard for me to follow because of that.
Hello mam
Hello :)
You look like a younger Kristen Dunst 😅

Oh no. I prefer your silver blond pixie cut!
This is not kind.
