I love how the story doesn't even build up to the fact the player character is a god through mystery and plot, it's just like "speak this password".

Around this time getting into the big studios was competitive and hard, requiring substantial "experience" So, a lot of new grad devs in animation, 3D art etc would either start their own studios, or take a job at these "Game studios". Most of these studios had little to no managerial structure whatsoever, with an extremely short shelf life before simply disappearing. Of course, you would work on a "Game", but knowing that it probably would never be realeased. If the game is "finished" before the company has laundered enough money or whatever, shit like this gets released.

I for one applaud the developers for making their game piss easy. Normally the approach seems to be to make such games impossibly hard to avoid most players seeing most of the cringe. Here you can at least cruise through it and laugh about it.

God, since I discovered this channel I always check to see if there are new videos, I laughed from beggining to end, and that levitate skill just looks like the dude is dancing thriller in the air.

This 2014 game looks like it belongs in 2004. That's an insult to 2004, actually; we had Half-Life 2 in 2004.
That game feels like the result of someone going "Pff, I can make an RPG, too. Can't be that hard"
I find it funny that Two Worlds is a contender for unintentionally funniest rpg, but the sequel, where one of the most effective spell combos gives you a hurricane shield full of anvils, isn't even mentioned. It's not like Magicka, either, where the devs clearly intended ridiculous spell combos to happen. Feels like a total accident that Looney Tunes wizardry is one of the most effective things in the game.
I've heard the tales, but i didn't believe them. Thanks for showing this masterpiece! We need an HD-remaster!

Those "unicorns" are nightmare fuel enough to ruin the childhoods of those who died long ago all the way through to those who have yet to be born.

I like to imagine one of the devs on a job interview for another company and they go well what are you working on and he goes I worked on Magus. And then just go oh really all the while trying not to laugh in his face

At first I was somewhat incensed that there's no character customization and that we're stuck looking like a teenager in 2007's idea of a cool hero man.. but then as the video continued, I realized that it was a blessing in disguise, that I not become more attached to the protagonist.

You ever tried Virtua Fighter? A spin-off of street fighter, rpg elements where you go through a virtual world and fight some evil corporations, a la ready player one. I seem to only remember in being on GameCube.
Another RPG with wonky and comedic bugs is Kenshi. However, in my opinion, it is one of the best games ever made.
This game feels really nostalgic though I never played it. I think I would have been into it as a young kid
If you can find it and get it running, the Legends of Kyrandia is an odd old point-and-click adventure game series.

I got this game on its launch year, specifically BECAUSE the trailer looked like absolute tripe. Well, I say I got it, A friend bought me it on the grounds that I had to finish it.
This game looks like a 1 person Unity project that was made as a school project.

I can't believe I'm saying this in some sincerity... but you might want to check out Dynasty Warriors 9. It's not as bad as you've heard - it's so so much worse. Every aspect of it is broken in just about every conceivable way, and it is absolutely *hilarious* if you enjoy open-world kusoge silliness. Although I do feel bad for all the DW fans who were totally burned by it.

Might and magic: dark messiah is definitely a great contender. Nothing is as funny as making goblins and demons trip and break their necks in stairs.

I remember some rpg i played as a kid... It was in a huge box with 4 cds, was 3d (althought i dont really remember was it first or third person view) and was something abot magic and technology methinks. All i remember is the game having 0 tutorial, which made me barely able to understand anything happening and stopping playing it entirely. But nowadays i kinda wanna remember what's it called to go back and try to finish it...
Gotta love the super duper sexy unprotective armor on your female companion, and her Super Saunter that you always manage to see from behind in cutscenes. Not even trying to hide the bait, eh?
Crazy that it's a PS3 exclusive, as that minuscule HUD in the top left looks like it's made for PC.
