Thanks for the video. It was very helpful Just snagged a 2018 TW200 with 420 miles. An older gentleman had it and soon after purchasing it he had to have back surgery and was not able to ride anymore. He also was not looking for an absurd amount like many people are. It is absolutely mint. It still has the chalk lines on the tires. Can’t wait to go on some adventures.
Congratulations! Its definitely a good find when you can purchase a lightly used TW200 for a good price! Even though he cant ride it anymore I'm sure it went to a good home! Ride Safe
The first mod should ALWAYS be replacing the front tire (the DethWing) with Shinko 241. It will save you from dumping your bike on a rain slick road in a sharp turn.
Get a 1-tooth larger counter shaft sprocket. This bike likes the highway far better when you gain the 5+ mph cruising speed that sprocket affords. And yes, it's STILL a tractor in 1st gear.
High front fender. My front wheel will come to an abrupt stop in a couple inches of clay mud. The mud jams between the front fender and the tire and stops the tire completely resulting in crashes.
I’ve had the indicator light lenses pop off, crack etc…. I wrap mine with clear “self adhering” silicone wrap (rescue tape). The wrap offers some protection against rocks and knocks, but most importantly keeps the lenses from self ejecting and getting lost.
That’s interesting, I haven’t had that happen yet. But definitely a nice precaution. I have had the entire blinker loosen and begin to spin. I just re tighten the nut every couple of weeks
Hey Bob, thanks for watching again! I appreciate the feedback. I know modifications can be pretty different depending on what kind of riding people do. It’s crazy how many modifications there are for this bike 😃
I was trying to figure out where you were ..I am in Litchfield county riding back roads on a Triumph STreet Scrambler it looked a lot the same but just more fancy houses and we don't have the mettle Street rails ..I finally saw Bankville rd .. Very nice countryside .. Have you ever ridden around Canttitoe and John Jay's place ..Great roads around there .. All the best from up north ...
Sorry for the late response, yup Banksville rd is a nice road that leads to scenic roads! I've never been to those places before, ill have to check them out! thanks for watching!
Th ese are all great but I've been looking for something that could support a MK-19 automatic grenade launcher and 3 to 4 cans of munitions. Revzilla is no help but do you have any suggestions. Asking for a friend.
Good suggestions but because you will take this on a trail and the bike will fall I would recommend the purchase of hand guards to protect both the rider and the levers which are very breakable and bendable.
Lol maybe if she goes on your TW for a ride she will like it and want to get one too! Then you can have two piles of parts in your house 😃 but maybe that’s just wishful thinking haha
I have a 2021 Tw200 also. I tried to upgrade all bulbs to LED. I have 8 out of the 10 bulbs upgraded but have not been able to solve the problem with the front flasher bulbs. What did you do to be able to have front flasher LED bulbs?
That’s great, I really like LED bulbs 💡 I only have led blinker bulbs in the front. The back are the stock halogen bulbs. I made a video on the LED bulbs. Check out that video, it shows all the products that I used!
@@MostroMoto Figured. I didn't want to comment about it as I really don't care about the resolution and that there was a reason. I plugged your channel on FB's TW group.
Haha I appreciate that. But I definitely love the feedback. I make these videos to hopefully entertain & help people out so it means a lot when you guys comment! I’m still relatively new to RUclips, and this was my first time having this issue
Hi, I am looking where I can buy tw200 2021 in US. In Europe it is unavailable for order. Maybe you can share contacts of dealer who have these bike in stock? Thanks.
Hey! It seems like even the dealerships here in USA are backed up quite a bit. I have a subscriber whos been waiting for a TW200 that he ordered for months! Hopefully you can pick something up soon, if not maybe consider the used market? Thanks for watching!
With regards to the skid plate I noticed the new one didn't have any holes in it. Does the new one get hot, or is the airflow still good? Also when it gets wet does water pool in it?
Great question! With the new skid plate there have been some people that have noticed more engine noise. Also there have been some complaints about less airflow. However the skid plate has been around for quite some time, and there haven’t been any major problems due to lack of airflow. There is still a significant gap between the engine and skid plate that allows air to flow in between. Also the skid plate does have a drain hole, which is also a hole for the oil change. Overall the protection it provides to the bikes engine in my eyes is much more valuable then the small risk of overheating. Thank you for asking 🤘🏼😃
@@MostroMoto Airflow doesn't matter. In fact, you can buy foam to stuff into the space between the plate and the case. That can dampen the sound and keep mud from lodging in there. Check out tdubclub, a blog by Rodney W. Search there for "10,000 mile oil change + skid plate foam - yamaha tw200".
I'm 5'1" so my first mod was dropping it to become flat footed. Then cutting the kickstand. Welder put a bolt on top for toe catch. Then a bitch box. I like the foot peg wider
Once you have a TW200 you never want to be without one.
I definitely agree!
Amen
@paulanderson388 do you know, 6k miles mileage is pretty small? Is it almost new bike if it has only 6k on it?

420 miles my ass
I picked up a 2016 with 63 miles on it for 3k. It was one of two the previous owner had. The other one sold first with even less miles on it!

Never ran into another TW200 in Armonk when I had it here… Great mods, couldn’t agree more
Skid plate (ricochet)
Larger carb jets
47T rear sprocket
Shinko 241 front tire
Hand guards
X-ring chain
This was a great video! I agree with everything you chose. I like the idea of the seat. I hadn’t thought of that. Keep up the great work!

The bars and risers really feel good when standing-a huge difference no matter how tall you are.
I totally agree! I was a bit worried at first, installing them seemed pretty involved. But it actually wasn’t that bad 🤘🏼

I have have a accessory pile waiting for my TW to come in. No word yet.
I can only imagine how annoying that is. But atleast you’ve got your parts for when it does show up!

What about a kick starter
New front tire is the #1 mod that should be done. Period. The Death Wing is garbage.
Very good video good info
Glad you liked it
Which bike do you like better the XR650L or the TW200
Love your presentation.good job
First, buy a backup intake manifold boot joint, it was the first part to fail for me.
Brilliant video, thank you 👍❤
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching 🤙🏼😃
Is this bike a valid option for a long term adv ? (6 months minimum)
I would say yes, but the only consideration is it’s not very good for highway / high speed use
When you added the 2" handlebar risers, did that require any extensions to the wiring?
Nope, the way I wired everything it worked well! Check out my install video! It’s so much easier then extending everything!
Re-upload? Other one was 380p?
