She lived through two World Wars, the adoption of the automobile, radio, TV, computers, the internet and died a couple years after the iPhone was launched.
When Billy begins his final verse of the medley and everyone starts cheering, that’s pure cinema. I mean, it’s a tv special, but f it, it’s so good it gets to be cinema.

In this case, 5 great films - Titanic, Good Will Hunting, LA Confidential, The Fully Monty, As Good as it Gets. These days I not only don't know when the Oscars are even on but I haven't even heard of any the movies nominated. Time to pull the plug on it.
