I like the way the Plymouth changes from a two-door sedan to a four-door with the back doors welded up for the stunt scenes...
Most people who drive in Europe would be only too happy to see a modern Audi driver end up like that. There really is a reason why the term "Audiot" was coined...

I always wonder, when I see old cars in relatively new movies, especially when they are getting wrecked, how much of each car is really old. I'll bet they keep fleets of them as props and piece together what's left, filling in for the missing pieces with used parts from other cars, fiberglass or even hand-made metal.

This is one of the most famous car chases in Mexican movie history. The Audi was crashed but the Savoy survived the movie with only dents. Savoys, while slightly rare in Mexico nowadays are not hard to find since many were used as taxis, specially in Mexico City.

Quit wrecking classic cars! Still, proves that Front Drive cars do not handle as well as Rear Drive cars. They are too nose heavy unless the engine and transmission are well behind the front axle, which then compromises their traction on steep hills.

Couldn't get a good look at the bottom grille, but those are 57 taillights. Also, the 57 was deliberately made to look as if had quad headlights. The inner ones are actually turn signals/parking lights..

That's awesome, Hey btw does anybody know where I can get a parts car for a 1957 plymouth (4-door hardtop if possible). I have one that is severely rusted, basically the bottom six inches of the body is rotten off. I know people generally dont waste time on 4-doors but somebody has to save them or they will all be gone. The car sat in a dirt alleyway in Kansas from about 1970-2008. It had sunk into the ground so far her frame rails were on the ground when I found her. . The frame is surprisingly very solid but the body is a freaking mess. I know I should just get a better one but I like a challenge and it will be a good opportunity to learn advanced body work anyway without having to worry too much about messing it up (how much worse could i possibly make it right?!?). I am going to do the best I can on it without cutting any corners. All patch panels will be but-welded in not lap welded. I want the body to be a seamless repair job even when when in bare steel. Essentially, I don't want anybody to even realize the car was repaired even if it is restored again in the future. I plan on making a youtube series on the restoration of the car to show how bad a car can be and still be brought back without breaking the bank if it is done the right way. I have seen too many savable cars be scrapped because people think they are a lost cause and it makes me really sad. I currently have the car running and driving "not legally" and most everything is working. The car runs as good as new with an original style 301 poly out of another 57 plymouth. The original torque flight works flawlessly and shifts like an absolute dream.

So far away from me! I live in Northern New Jersey, right outside of NYC. When I go to work, there's a gas station with a '57 Plymouth just sitting on the side of the station. It's parked tail-in, so I can't see clearly whether it's a 2 or 4-door. It looks like a Plaza. I'm amazed that you can't find a decent parts car in Texas! I'm currently restoring a 4-Door myself, a 1960 Mercury Park Lane. I agree that someone needs to save the 4-Doors. I'm the only one in the International Mercury Owners Association with a 4-Door Park Lane.
