Is BISHOP Fishing always this EASY?!

Bishop and the eastern sierras are one of the best and most beautiful places to fish. Today I fished bishop creek near town with a green rabbit hair midge under an indicator. I fished so close to town instead of Owens River to avoid walking in the snow because I forgot my waders. Fishing the Non Wild Section near the Lower Owens River.

That brings back a lot of memories. Grew up in Bishop and lived about three miles from where you are fishing. Caught many fish out of that canal you are fishing. Summer months with grasshoppers thrown across the canal onto the other bank, then slowly pull them off the grass into the water, and hang on. If you get on Highway 6 going North from where you are at, make a left on Dixon Lane, then another left along the next canal. There is fish all along that canal, down to where it enters the North Fork of Bishop Creek. Then fish Bishop Creek down stream back to Highway 6.
