    I may also suggest Assetto Corsa, with mods. I honestly parked up a car got out of my seat , looked around, I then had a moment where I had left my mouse on the floor and felt it as I went to move against my foot and in panic of not wanting to squash and break it I put my hand out to lean against the car , which of course wasn't there, but my brain thought it was , needless to say I stumbled, but was fortunate I regained balance and didn't break a thing. Assetto Corsa is a dream in VR as so many different kinds of cars, not just race cars, but road cars too, some with out roofs and driving in a modded map, with other people and AI is some thing else. I hope Assetto Corsa Evo (2) which comes out this year holds up as well.

    Ahhhh, Project Cars 2 is still the best VR experience I've had. Don't know why there hasn't been more...

    I personally would add GT7 to the list. The quality of the models, textures, color accuracy and lighting is just unmatched at the moment despite all the problems with the psvr2. And if the rumored specs of the ps5 pro are true and it’s getting enhanced then it could become even better.

    • @laubox
      @laubox  5 месяцев назад +3

      Yeah that is true. It should def deserve to be featured in the list! Even tho it comes with reprojection I agree with you that the colors, textures and sounds can create a very immersive experience!

      @@batatokr1 Fully agree. It also runs consistent regardless of the track, time of day or amount of cars . That's something that drove me crazy with PC VR sims.

      Can only agree, GT7 is such a nice, deep and easy to enjoy way of getting amazingly immersed…it’s not the best simulation experience, but I will never forget my first races…deep down the cockpit, having fun moving your head outside or over the window/roof of a convertible and enjoying the road and speed…it’s more focused on the experience than the driving, but what a crazy experience still!

      cannot agree more, GT7 graphics in VR is the best of all now. And considering they made it with the relatively weak GPU performance of the PS5, it's a shame other PC simracing games cannot produce better VR experience. really hope the upcoming AC EVO will change the situation, but I think the chances are slim.

    I would add Assetto Corsa with CSP and Pure mods added and rFactor 2 because of its great physics and FFB.

  • @JimmyNuisance

    GT7 is my favorite as far as immersion goes. There's something about the sound and the amazing details of the interiors and the lighting in GT7 that combines to make a very believable world. Even if the physics aren't realistic on a iRacing/assetto level, the immersion factor is off the charts. Huge shame the camera isn't locked to the car though.

    I own all of these games but have mostly been playing them on the monitor because VR is just an extra step I dont want to take every time. I'm curious whether you prefer your pimax crystal or your quest 3 for PCVR these days?

    • @laubox
      @laubox  5 месяцев назад

      Hi there! Thanks for your reaction; I really appreciate it! I understand the hassle. For me, the VR headset is always plugged into my computer, so it's just a matter of putting it on my head. However, I understand that for gamers who have to set it up each time, it's quite a hassle. Virtual Desktop does make this process a bit easier.
      I don't have a super high-end PC, so I still use the Quest 3 the most, mainly because I can tweak it more and get better performance. But if I can easily hit 72/90 fps with the Pimax Crystal in a game like Automobilista 2, I only play with the Pimax, just because of the clarity.

    GT7 works perfectly straight out of the box. No mucking around with settings at all to get things working. With a compatible wheel its all seamless

    unfortunately after playing gt7 on vr with a g pro and trophy seat the various PC experiences on this list have been underwhelming, which is kind of odd considering the horsepower available from my PC

    Try the Hungarian RBR mod and I'm sure you'll break a sweat and then make a video of the best rally simulator no matter that it doesn't look state of the art.

      Project Cars 2 is fun, but compared to the titles here it feels somewhat arcady which I tend to avoid. GT 7 should have belonged on the list here for sure!
