Thank you for this fascinating and enjoyable video. So many of the ICE vehicles in Brighton or London could be replaced with Armadillos and the cities would become so much better to live in for everyone.
Put a rooftop tent (the foldable type with a ladder your see on landrovers) on top. Use the container as your kitchen, mini-disco, sauna or whatever. You can even do some deliveries on your journey. Happy camping ;)
I agree with the guy it cool to try it out for camper o to travel to places in my country New Zealand, this bikes could really good here .Gisborne camping on beach I'm really liking this even more now

Incredible smart and intelligent system, and mybe they could use the fairing made for recumbent trikes for some weather protection and less air resistance.
As always, awesome video! I agree that these are the future. We use cargo bikes for our business. I'm interested in purchasing one of these but it only comes with 250 watts of assist. We would need 1,000-1500 watts like we have now with the Bafang BBSHD. If they offer this we'll get one.
Thats a great bit of kit but we need wider roads for these machines and the motor cars to co-exist or at least wider and many more cycle paths in the uk.
I'd love to see this with some sort of cab for the rider for weather protection... possibly for aero as well, although at it's operating speed that would probably not be significant.
I went with my velomobile from Göteborg to London last year, you should bike here too! :) There is the direct ferry from Germany so you don't have to be in Denmark ;)
On the cargo boxes maybe adding lifting points it looks like two of those bins could could stacked on the relay truck on top of each other and then they could be craned on and off the big truck or lowered off the top rack with a lift gate
Great stuff! I work in logistics ...I'm hoping my company could go to this option. For cities like Manchester, London, Southampton etc it would be better than vans and cheaper than insuring large fleets and then the cost. Plus you could have more of them. Would they require a license John?
Excellent! So finding drivers would be easier than van drivers for many companies too. What's the expected price? I would imagine a fleet price would be better, of say 20 to do a city and it's boroughs like Machester or Preston. Plus you'd only need two bike mech's and a sparky for upkeep.
One thing I would add is a wind fairing for recumbents. I think that could help protect the rider when they have to be on roads with regular motor vehicles.
I saw a video from someone who used a Rohloff hub with mid-drive and he was saying the 3-speed is all you need with a standard electric bike as it can handle much more power coming into the hub then the rohloffs with more gears. But maybe due to weight of this vehicle you need the extra gears.
Greetings from Swedeeeeen! (Helsingborg, Skåne) Tried one of those damn cargobikes yesterday..crashed 5 times, lol! How Do you guys do it? Felt as if I was going to tip over.
Very nice cargo e-bike.. iam jelous.. if there maybe a shipping in our country baguio city philippines i will immediately buy 1.. very good for small tym business.. going to market.. it can help a lot.. wish i have one..😮😥
Marvelous video John. Is it just me, or do they look like luggage carts from airports? Airports should invest in these, it would save them a ton of money of maintenance and fuel.
Would you perhaps do some cycling parcel or perhaps some other delivery as another source of income? I’d assume it’d become handy. It would look seriously awesome with a fairing.
Is that a crutch-scooter in the back??😆 So, 2 things; 1* they're using rollhoff for that weight? that is impressive! And 2*; who needs a spare wheel when you have Schwalbe tires? I got'em in all my bikes for years now and not a single flat in 8 years
Feels just fine, I will have to hold fire on what it's like after a full day on the seat though. Until I ride one for a few days, there is a guy riding one to china at the moment from Switzerland with two kids on board.
With a Belts That’s What’s Missing All We Need is That and We’re Good To Go Because This Looks Like a Driving Scalaton With Nothing On Top It Has a But No Belts And a Driving Cab With 2 Doors After That You Can Deliver A Whole Bunch Of Pizzas Who Knows How Many You Can Carry
I write you in spanish because my english is not good. Sorry for us.
Ebikes are the future whether people accept it or not . They won't replace traditional bikes but their numbers will nearly match them .
That thing is beautiful. Wish I could afford one
Thank you for this fascinating and enjoyable video. So many of the ICE vehicles in Brighton or London could be replaced with Armadillos and the cities would become so much better to live in for everyone.
Ha ha ha! Welcome to Sweden. I see you enjoyed Armadillo. I want that bike😃
Wow so cool we need these in uk if we havent already got them 😀 be so cool to see one off these cruising along
I’m new to your channel. I like tech a lot and your smile makes it even more pleasing!
Excellent video! I love the fact that it wasn't super long but you gave a decent explanation for everything attached to the armadillo. Very cool
The stability seems amazing. I want one! Thanks John.!
I can imagine building a great bike camper on the trailer version!
Right! If they were a little bit longer I would definitely buy one! you could put a whole sleeping bag and a lot of other stuff in there

It's what I'm thinking, but would it be robust enough to do a world tour ?

I love the Armadillo the little engineer in me is screaming right now to buy one and build a canopy for the rainy days here in germany :D
I saw a DHL armadillo in Mexico, they did add a canopy to shield the operator from the intense sun in Monterrey and occasional rain.
Why the rear wheel is off the ground without tracking as shown in the video ?
This is cool stuff, I don't mind having one!
dhl is delivering in my hood with armadillos now, it makes me smile all the time :)
Great product and great video. Thanks.

I also was thinking of it as a modern teardrop camper/micro house.😁❤️✌️
Really good, and that particular bike and DHL, to Ireland? Very cool
AWESOME! I want an armadillo. 😃🤗
Very good video! Next time come to Finland 😁
That scooter at 6:12 with no handlebars peaked my interest.
Incredible smart and intelligent system, and mybe they could use the fairing made for recumbent trikes for some weather protection and less air resistance.
I want one of these for grocery shopping! unfortunately it looks like itll be a while before it comes to the US
Excellent, definitely interested in getting one of these before april 2021
We need to speak as I'm an ambassador for them now.

This chassis would make a great solar vehicle with the right shell.
Thats a great bit of kit but we need wider roads for these machines and the motor cars to co-exist or at least wider and many more cycle paths in the uk.
This stuff is going more intresstant this times in the UK ;-))

Unconventional.....and BRILLIANT!

Hallo John,
Lovely video well made and well done Mate,
John can you please ask the team when the ARMADILLO CARGO BIKE full cab design well be ready ?
Will do mate.
I went with my velomobile from Göteborg to London last year, you should bike here too! :) There is the direct ferry from Germany so you don't have to be in Denmark ;)
Nice looking rig. But needs a better battery system, and maybe regenerative braking. After all 25km is only 15.5 miles. Just a thought.
I WANT THIS THING SO BADLY
1.! :D I am so rarely first at anything I just had to take advantage of that occasion! ;D
I dream of having one of these -Ive held a Driver license for 30 years and lately I despise driving a car in traffic and much rather ride a bike😊
fun to watch.
On the cargo boxes maybe adding lifting points it looks like two of those bins could could stacked on the relay truck on top of each other and then they could be craned on and off the big truck or lowered off the top rack with a lift gate
Yes, but that will also be too tall and will have the risk of landing on one side...
Thats sooooo Cool! 👌🏻
I am sure the Armadillo is expensive , but it looks like the future to me .
Agreed! I think expensive, but then compared to the value!
The Future is Now
Great stuff! I work in logistics ...I'm hoping my company could go to this option. For cities like Manchester, London, Southampton etc it would be better than vans and cheaper than insuring large fleets and then the cost. Plus you could have more of them. Would they require a license John?
No licence, just pedal.

Friend very good your videos, I wanted to know if you have a video where details more the mechanism of traction and the engine that has, thanks.
Maybe try velove. Se on RUclips or Armadillo cargo bike, you should find more that way.
it's amazing
One thing I would add is a wind fairing for recumbents. I think that could help protect the rider when they have to be on roads with regular motor vehicles.
I was thinking the same thing, ie streamer fairing.
I really want to use one of these as a petty cap in my town shuttles people from parking lots to restaurants and bars
give john a toy / velo and he is having fun even it is for parcels

Why wasn't a garage door type used with top and bottom roller? Operating either roller would open the entire side. The dual doors look inconvenient.

How did you manage to get in touch with them? I've emailed them twice with no reply.

How can I buy a velove armadillo like that?
Where can i buy an armadillo bike?
It was not clear on how many KM does a battery can move you, did he say 25KM/charge?
On average 25 km, met a guy riding one n London recently, he gets 35km per battery as his route is flatter.
It can be more if you’re careful and add all six batteries. I WANT ONE SO BAD 😂
Is anybody going to ask a rude question, "how much it costs"!
Can you tell me please how fast do they go?
Restricted to 15 mph of assist, you can go faster with pedalling

Yes, I run Schwalbe tires too, but they can still go flat, specially if your putting a load on them, so the spare wheel makes sense to me.
How much it costs for me i live in Kyrgyzstan Bishkek
