One of the reasons why we needed the dislike ratio to be seen by the public. Some people are already thinking that this is legit game development and saying that it's better than the actual game. Which is an absolute disrespect for the actual hardworking developers.
SInce Dislike counts as engagement, the smart option would be not pay heed to clickbaity Over-The-Top videos & simply click "Dont Recommend Channel". I've seen some channels intentionally make certain videos worth mass disliking just to attract audience.
You haven't seen these 2017 Need for Speed "HD mod" which hurt to look at. And the worst thing that they came from hype on russian NFS: Underground mod, Redux (which actually had every single texture remade from scratch) which didn't get as much attention as these fake mods did.
Hank's face from the Breaking Bad one is just peak uncanny valley. You have all these super photo-realistic assets and then you have this character model where it looks his entire face is single static texture they slapped onto the front of a generic head model. It honestly reminds me of the characters from Siren on PS2 where they literally photographed the actors' faces and put them on the character models in the game.
The first thing that dies with most of these "remakes" is art direction, as if putting models with more polygons and better shaders replaced the taste in lighting, atmosphere, color, etc.
that literally the most basic of the basic things you can do in any graphics engine . importing a game map into a gaming engine and using a lighting preset is not impressive .
It's not irrational people in the comments genuinely think these games look good, give a game lens flares, ENB DIRECT X 2.0 (whatever the fuck that means), blur, chromatic aberration and all that visual garbage on screen and people fall for it.
As an animator that lip syncing is just pure laziness, they literally throw the audio into an automatic lip syncing program within the engine and call it a day
I'm so glad you're covering this because I'm so sick of seeing this bullshit. The guy muted me on his RUclips after I suggested he stop calling those remasters and remakes when they're not even remotely games, but more like asset compilations. Glad that someone with a reasonably-sized audience has addressed this annoying trend.
@@thundercockjackson No, clue but it's the person that runs the TeaserPlay RUclips Channel. Gman addresses it in this video where he talks about there being hundreds of thousands of views with around 40 comments and all of those few comments are positive. He can't silence this though haha.
The problem with most of these remakes is how "overdesigned" everything is. I really understood that when you compared Max Payne's subway tunnels. Everything is just so visually cluttered in the remake, and then the original is visually clear and focused, and your brain can focus on movement and combat. When you throw all those polygons and godrays, your brain just stops processing it at a certain point.
it's something that you usually see in alot of attempts to make things look "realistic" like the fakefactory mod for HL2. my best guesstimate on why is probably because game environments tend to look a little "clean" compared to a real place but these people go in the opposite direction by making everything dilapidated and not factoring in how this would run on a console which makes the unreal demos of nintendo games pretty funny because nintendo isn't really known for having the most powerful consoles.
Honestly this is a bit of an issue with remakes of old things in general. Cpdeless games seem by qll accounts to be actually remaking sh1 and...they got a pretty severe problem with overdesign. Some things are interesting in regards to the changes they make, and I'm looking forward to seeing their final product, but even just their remake of the intro sequence shows a bit of a habit of overdesigning.
@@hellcatdave1 the artstyle changes in those cases were to add consistency to later games (H1 to look more like reach & H2 to look more like 3 & ODST) which is fine since 1 was basically right after reach chronologically and 3 was originally supposed to be part of 2. the worst part of halo anniversary is that the remastered graphics has different geometry from the original while the worst part of halo 2 anniversary is the music change with the remastered graphics.
The writing on the Bully's school bus (11:56) is not Thai nor Indonesian, but rather Hebrew. It translates to "House (of) education for girls girls (of) heroism" (literal translation). Excellent video! Thank you very much for all of your hard work and effort.
11:47 - The "Preview" you see on the shadows is a notation from the Unreal Engine that the lights were not baked yet. Which implies what they were probably messing with the sun and were too lazy to re bake it if they even baked it to begin with. Also I'm unsure if the "Preview" only shows in the editor so it could even be that the footage has been taken directly from the Unreal editor.
That PREVIEW on the footpath means they were too lazy to hit the button to calculate the lighting properly. It signifies the scene is currently using preview shadows. As for the vague models, I can almost guarantee they're using Meta Human to generate the models. Nothing hand made at all.
@@iminyourwalls8309 this is nothing like an actual game tho, it's more like making a house in the sims but with more options. making an actual game is still pretty hard.
I got the San Andreas one recommended to me recently and I absolutely laughed my ass off when I realized they just stuck a sign that says “pizza” on the side of a generic building and called it a day, it’s even more hilarious considering they’re supposed to be in a Cluckin Bell drive-thru so the pizza sign makes absolutely no sense.
Thank you for addressing this bullshit trend! One of the worst aspects is how the comment sections are often filled with uncritical praise claiming that the "remake" looks better than most modern games. Something has gone terribly wrong when you can't tell actual masses of people apart from bots on the internet.
I pray those are naive kids or bots. If those are adults who are that gullible than dear God is it horrific to realize those people are allowed to vote. It really does explain the state of gaming and why shit like New Saints Row turned out a profit and outsold company expectations. Idiocracy is becoming real
So this is really specific, but Hank’s face in the Breaking Bad remake looks *exactly* like the statue faces from the Haunted Mansion ride (in Disney World). Essentially, there are bust statues in the ride that are smooth, marble heads. And Disney uses movie projectors to display moving faces on them. They’re corny, but I always loved them when I was kid. So they’re burned into my memory. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that Hank’s face looks like a smooth, marble orb with a movie projector projecting a face on it. So shitty lmao.
@@Gggmanlives So... Uhhh.. I think about making a video about this case in the future (sort of a deep dive), and here is few notes I could find: - SH remake might be related to Shattered Memories, not original SH - apparently they also did a clip of a propaganda for Ukrainian government related to UAF ( Ukrainian Air Force) winning against Russian planes (but I am not 100% sure) - TP probably deletes any negative comments, since lack of any under his videos - he might come after you, since he deletes any comment critisizing him and low count of any materials on YT against him (or he is not noticeable enough/ nobody suspected of him doing all of this) sorry for any mistakes, but I am from non-English speaking country -your local Albanian mailman
Probably because they literally just took a generic smooth head model and just slapped a picture of his face on it as a texture and called it a day without actually modeling his features in a realistic way.
Stuffing the levels with unwanted clutter to make it look "Next Gen" seems to be a big trend. I appreciate you bringing that up. There's a certain clarity to level design in older games because of the limitation on polygons. The original Half life can lead you to where you have to be without having a dotted line or waypoints. More polygons isn't always better.
Agreed, I don't really care about "realistic" graphics or whatever, as long as your game and characters have a recognizable design and not uncanny looking real people.
Thank god someone's addressing this. As an aspiring level designer I can't even begin to describe how annoying these videos are. You threw together an environment using premade assets that looks vaguely like another game and threw in a walk animation I could make in ten minutes (and I suck at animation), and now people are praising it, articles are being written and people are acting like it's a real project; meanwhile people actually working on real projects with real efforts get ignored.
True. Tons of people with real talent working on those big triple A titles never got the recognition they deserves. Meanwhile clowns like this get thousands of views by sloppily slapping together assets and call it a day.

I’m in school for game development and i showed one of my teachers one of these videos as a joke and they put it on the screen for how not to use UE5. The best part is that it likely isn’t even UE5 considering how much of a pain in the ass that engine is to use by people who know how to use UE4 with how many bugs and massive issues are present.
Silent Hill is based off a town in Pennsylvania that was evacuated overnight after the coal mine under the town caught fire. The movies actually delved into that a bit. Fun fact: the road into the town is infamous (and a bit iconic) for being the most haunted road in the country.
Silent Hill, as seen in the games, is canonically located in Maine, and it wasn’t designed with a particular town in mind, but rather what the Japanese devs imagined a small, idyllic American community to look like (the town’s planning in the first game actually has more in common with a Japanese village.) They also looked at how American towns were portrayed in European and Russian culture. The movies, on the other hand, move Silent Hill’s location to West Virginia, and this version of the town is in fact inspired by Centralia, PA, the coal mine town you’ve mentioned, but it’s not what the game devs originally intended.
@Jordon Anderson I thought I was the only one, not only is the lighting and atmosphere bad, but the models look creepy af, and the uncanny animation does not help.
I feel bad for the creators of Unreal Engine 5, like they made this engine thinking so many people are gonna utilize its full potential to create something truly unique and then see these Low Effort remake videos completely bastardize the engine and make it look bad
That's what happens when you lower the entry bar for your software. The same happened, for example, to Blender and Unity, lots of crappy renders and games that made the tool look bad.
Fr. I am genuinely sick of seeing something quickly slapped together in unreal engine, because it’s very noticeable that it wasn’t put together with effort
One of my most hated people in gaming are those who just worship the Unreal Engine like it's perfect and crafted by the Gods. I'll never forget when UE5 released a CP2077 dev said he was sick of people saying they should port CP2077 into UE5, because that's just how it works. Hit the transfer to Unreal button and it just works.
@Jessiebeanie They use UE5 because Source 2 doesn't have a public dev kit yet. but when that lands we will have all the remake concepts of walking in a straight line we will ever need, or at least the lip sync will be better....maybe.
Unreal has glaring flaws. The shader compilation stutters have been around for a while and have yet to be fixed. My personal favorite engine is Id Tech.
THANK YOU... As a developer, I almost made a video to rant about this. I personally feel like its deceiving people because some people genuinely dont understand the difference between a remake/WIP and a cobbled together asset flip with no potential.
I was thrown off by the gta remakes cause the fucking light was just bouncing all over i was like wtf is happening. like these assets we’re definitely not made for this and everything looks uneven
the thing I never knew about these fake trailers is the fact they are done in Unreal Engine. I thought they were Blender Renders. They really make Unreal Engine 5 look fucking awful. I'm glad people like you exist to give us the good stuff
Having been to Pripyat, I am 99% sure that the "school" you referred to is actually a model based on one of the schools in Pripyat. That hallway resembles one that I walked through myself (that being said though, it was the way buildings were designed in Soviet Russia so could be from another location as well). The actual classroom itself doesn't look much like what I've seen, mostly just based on what furniture it had in it, but it does look similar to how dilapidated the buildings in Pripyat were
That "Preview" text literally shows just how lazy these "trailers" are. They just mean that the person making them couldn't be bothered to bake the lighting properly lol
4:54 Holy shit I think you're right about the Eastern Europe setting because I saw those exact buildings on the Unreal Marketplace. They were listed as "Abandoned Soviet Buildings Pack" or something.
I'm a unreal dev and I can literally identify the exact models and entire maps used in most of the shots, they are so mindblowingly lazy I doubt they modeled a single thing for their videos.

I'm not a professional developer, but I am a mod developer (for Command & Conquer: Renegade, specifically), and these kind of lazy "game remake" videos irritate me. They just perpetuate the myth that somehow "Unreal Engine = Better Game" somehow, and what grinds my gears even more is that people use these kinds of videos as "evidence" as to why we should just quit modding Renegade and move to UE5, as if that's anywhere close to being feasible. So I thoroughly appreciate you doing this video, it's a much needed sanity check.
This also happens on the Fallout and Elder Scrolls communities where some random dipshit constantly insists that Bethesda should ditch the Creation engine for UE5. Yeah you get better graphics but say goodbye to the massive modding capabilities of any future games.
@@xXDeiviDXx I remember seeing those sort of comments on another video that went over the idea of why Bethesda shouldn't use the Unreal Engine. The only convincing thing from the crowd was less jank but then again, I feel like other game devs could point out better reasons to use UE5 or stick with Creation Engine compared to someone that has not made a game or even a mod.
I remember seeing the New Vegas one, it looked terrible, there was so much bloom you could barely see what was going on and when you could it was a bunch of stuff that didn't even look Fallout, apply a good lighting mod and texture pack to the original game and it looks better than the mess they put on show.
I am a Software/Game Developer. I know that if you are a 12-20 years old, it is exciting to make "clone" videos or games of hyper-popular console games on PC, by using premade assets. Before joker 2019 came out, somebody did this nice little concept trailer featuring Joaquin Phoenix in his different roles, somehow compiled together to make it look like the origins of the Joker, it was really good, and it actually conveyed some kind of concept, these videos do none of that.

I think the worst part about it is the articles about these videos are usually titled in a way to make it sound like these are official game trailers, very few actually acknowledge how these trailers are fan-made until you read the last few sentences in the article.
A bunch of gaming pages on Facebook are just for clicks. Saw one in my recommended that said that Call of Duty Advanced Warfare was an amazing game and deserves a sequel or a remake. It had mostly negative comments as the people just make these things for clicks and ad revenue
The actor James Buckley said the same thing on his gaming channel Completed It Mate. He said people saw the clickbait articles about a possible third Inbetweeners film. People kept asking him about it.
I think the fact that people go and praise those vids like theyre doing gods work are the worst part about the whole thing. As a long time silent hill fan, the fact that people were praising those vids when it looks nothing like a silent hill game is just infuriating

Vast majority of these "Unreal Engine Remakes" trailers/concepts tend to look quite awful and incohesive. While it floods people with "Good graphics" with everything being stupidly shiny and grainy, while artstyle and og design of game it remakes is ignored. Then we also had horrible remakes from studios like GTA Definitive edition. There are very good remakes but they are very scarce and farbetween. Worst remake trailers i seen were Unreal Half life 2, GTA IV Most Wanted 2005 and Warcraft 3. I can respect effort but many are soulless. Kids whatching these things would mob me to death if i said anything under these, while its drown in praise from them. Especially saying "This is the remake we wanted/needed" when it looks so awful and unfaithful or even illogical. I dont want to get too critical on them since it looks like amateur trying to show of in some cases so it's atleast more of genuine effort but it still definetly not what the remake should be.
The funniest thing about a lot of these remakes and remasters is they always say it’s what the fans asked for or wanted, but half the time that isn’t remotely true and they’re just as soulless as these trailers.
Actually the majority of legit remakes are great (and there really aren't as many as people seem to think), and I'm thankful for them existing, playing Halo 1 & 2 again, or Fable 1, Demon's Souls etc was awesome. I've said it a thousand times already, they're overusing bloom and depth of field. But most of all, their assets just don't fit the games they are trying to "remake". I'm glad I'm not the only one with that opinion at least.
This video has more journalistic effort than all of the gaming news we've had over the last few months. I appreicate you gman as always doing what you do best, telling it how it is.
Silent Hill, man I MISS this unique disturbing scary franchise. Played SH 2 recently. Can't believe just how insanely deep the game is with it's lore, themes and overall symbolisms. Truly one of the best if not THE best horror game franchises to ever exist despite it's age. Remaking something like this would truly be difficult. Also Pyramid Head still scares the living hell out of me.
Man I worked my ass of on a very small Indie "game" for my Bachelor's Thesis. It's just a 30 minute tech demo, but now I can say with pride, that it looks better then their shit, which wasn't even the focus, and at least you get 30 minutes of actually playing something :DDD.
To the people who are defending the makers, imagine you spend years of your life to create a video, spending your time to master your craft gets less recognition than some dude in his basement copy and pasting preview assets into Unreal Engine and pressing export.
The tech IS incredible. But it brought the entry point for "development" too low. Almost everything is automated or drag and drop on the surface level. For a project for my animation/modelling class, I put a demo together for MGS. Took about a week, docks and airfield. Most of that was spent on Maya. About 10 hours in UE5, setting up animation systems. It is insanely easy to just throw something together in a short time with UE5, and with the asset store having a vast swath of assets, it is easy for someone to do this in even less time than my project took. The art in these tools is knowing how to use them to achieve a vision, not just bashing assets together until you have a messy and uncoordinated jumble. I love how the GTA VI leaks get more hate than this stuff. It really puts into perspective that most people don't see past the surface level, they just want shiny
If anything, these videos show the power of UE5. You can easily create something that will impress a layperson (and gaming journalists for God knows why) without any serious effort.
I build interactive VR/AR content in Unity for museums/visitor centres etc. I have to make almost every single asset from scratch yet I've had multiple clients say, "you quoted for two months work but some guy in his bedroom made a matrix city in 20 minutes on youtube". @@yuyutopt That's a good point. Mmod is something I've seen been meaning to get around to playing for a while now. In my head before you reminded me of mmod I was picturing a project kind of like what that fan of re4 was doing where he was remaking the games textures using the original sources without touching the old models or levels. It was less of a remake and more of a restoration because the developers wanted to be as faithful to the old art style as possible. I feel that's how most remasters should try an aim to be. Keeping in touch with why the old game was loved whilst giving the textures an update.

The question as to whether a remake is a good idea is: 1) Does the remake improve on the original or at least not make it actively worse to play? 2) Are the graphics updated but in a way that makes sure the original art style isn't hampered? 3) Is there at LEAST two generations between them (Looking at you Horizon)
11:46 its even worse than just not painting over it, because those are shadow indicators, meaning he didn't rebuild the lighting before shooting this. my real issue with the remakes is how they all use Unreal engine 5 regardless of the game's original style. UE5 just doesn't do grittier, muted styles all that well, though that may just be the designer's incompetence or the assets being flipped being store assets with no specified style in mind.

Unreal actually can do these, but yeah i don't know if the recent versions can do it, but if anything Ready or Not was an UE4 game and the atmosphere was crazy there, felt genuinely gritty and had certain vibe to it. Unreal 3 was the peak where games has certain charm and art style.

Isn't that a good thing? Now youtube can't recommend you these garbage.
Halo Anniversary is notorious for this. The only decent remaster is the Halo 2 one but it still misses the original art direction imho.
I think a lot of that has to do with models not fitting in with eachother and the environment not actually being planned from the start

Even worst asset flip games have more effort put into them.
I've not used UE since UE3. Does baking the lighting still take hours and hours to do?
Yeah - and some of the car (and bus) models are simply unedited 3D scans.
Besides, static lighting also requires correct lightmap uvs and setting up all the correct resolution for them.

The phenomenon of "Nintendo please hire this man!" has been around for ages, everyone remembers that one Unreal Engine demo of Mario running around as a field from like 2011 if they were around on YT then lol
Wasn't the video uploaded back in 2014? I'm not too sure.
Yeah I am pretty sure it was 2014 or later. Since UE4 wasn't even a thing back then, yet alone for the general public to use for asset flipping yet.
Yeah it was 2015, found the original video a couple days ago. I don't really know why I thought it was that far back
That same guy is still doing it lol
Also "This will be Graphics in 2013" lol
"and gaming journalists for God knows why"
Gotta get those clicks.
Madman actually took the risk. Hope the video will still be available over time.
I build interactive VR/AR content in Unity for museums/visitor centres etc. I have to make almost every single asset from scratch yet I've had multiple clients say, "you quoted for two months work but some guy in his bedroom made a matrix city in 20 minutes on youtube".
I don't even know where to begin trying to explain the difference.
I hate stuff like this, its pointless hype and its more annoying when pages on facebook and instagram are sharing this stuff for the clicks. They never tell
you in title its fan made etc. So glad you've brought this up.
I'm a junior games designer and I've seen some of these videos. Most of them are made up of a premade map and models downloaded from some random website. The half life 2 one hurts the most because that game is one of my fav's and seeing them mess up the game I love is painful.
One thing that really pisses me off about the HL2 trailer is that HL2 graphics are beautiful to look at even today, so why u need to fuck a game that doesn't need to?
@@0ffguy248 Yea that's what makes it worse. If you were to remake Half Life 2 it likely wouldn't be a total overall but instead more of a remaster with a few quality of life improvements.
Half life 2 mmod already did the faithful remaster imo, in both terms of gameplay and subtle graphic upgrade. The art direction rules everything, i dont need pretty graphic if everything look the same and soulless.
Lol the foreign writing is Hebrew, here in NYC those Hebrew school busses are pretty common especially in Brooklyn. Absolutely no way an Aussie would know this though, and I doubt the guy who made the "trailer" knew either. Excellent video as always.
not hebrew, it's yiddish. easy to confuse though.
Damn sorry to hear that
@Josie same alphabet but different rules for writing it
It's hebrew. It says "Military School for girls" it kinda broken tho
@@Pixel-oo7vw Does it? Holy shit. lmao
Just after I saw you tweeting about this I saw an Alien one that was SO FAR from anything resembling Alien. Bright green, red and chrome surfaces everywhere… I mean they literally had Isolation as a perfect template to emulate and they missed so bad.
Which one?
@@Gggmanlives I'm guessing it's this one.
ruclips.net/video/N4a8ZsE2X2U/видео.html
The question as to whether a remake is a good idea is:
1) Does the remake improve on the original or at least not make it actively worse to play?
2) Are the graphics updated but in a way that makes sure the original art style isn't hampered?
3) Is there at LEAST two generations between them (Looking at you Horizon)
11:46 its even worse than just not painting over it, because those are shadow indicators, meaning he didn't rebuild the lighting before shooting this. Even worse is, you can be lazy and not rebuild lighting and still get rid of that by clicking like 2 maybe 3 times through a menu and disabling the "Preview Shadow" watermark.
Characters walking in a remake trailer is like telling the origins of BATMAN in EVERY. BATMAN movie, they just have to put it...
Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2: Long, wiry arms. Disproportionate body with short stubby legs, a nasty beer gut and a creepy way of walking.
Pyramid Head in newer Silent Hill media: 10 ft tall, looks like he just got off a Mr. Olympia contest and walks like he's a giant robot...
All these concepts radiate “Nintendo… HIRE THIS MAN” energy
I know I wasn't the only one who thinks that the concepts made by TeaserPlay are downright bad.
I have family members that send me stuff like this...
I think part of the problem is that people see something shiny and think it's better, and don't bother to actually look at what they're watching.
At least they didn't nuke the original game's resolution to make the 'remake' look better...
That channel is definitely trying to hit trending or something.
So glad you called out the Breaking Bad unreal trailer. The audacity!
they mustve used nba 2k face scan 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Gudmann85 oh no not DSP 😭🤣
17:21 Man, that is horrible! It is supposed to be a British mission with Covenanters, but in the remake, it is a Sherman, a Tiger Porsche model that was never used (turned into Ferdinand/ Elephant), and a panzer 4 as the player's tank!
Also at 6:18 the location changes from a French countryside to a mountainous location, and the burnt-out halftrack is nowhere to be seen, but they added a Sherman that isn't even facing towards the enemy for some reason.
11:47 the PREVIEW means that the lighting has been set to static but has not been baked onto the level and is using dynamic lighting in the meantime
Because they're lazy I assume
Man I love it when you call out these idiots. If gaming had a government I’d vote for you G-Man.
Swear to god Unreal Engine is becoming the new Unity
Always has been
At least games made in Unity have the decency to have some form of art direction going on
thats just happens if oyu made game development more easy and accessible
back in the day everybody made RPG maker games and there were a ton of shitty ones
the silent hill "remake" video is hilarious because you know its from some soviet building asset pack even from those inside because of those diagonal sunburst window bars.
Nintendo, Hire this man!
You’re the hero the game industry needs Gman!
What makes me mad is they seem to have a pretty good setup to render and run all of this, and this is what they do with it.
finally, a person who doesn't care about how "OMG ONLY ONE PERSON DID THIS NO WAY" and just rates how accurate it is. I mean, technically its superior to the original, but small details also matter. Oh and these videos look so identical that i think its made by a bot.
Hopefully teaser play won't copyright strike this, considering what gman said about how selective teaser play is with comments wonder how long it will take before they target this video cause it's hurts their fragile feelings
Teaser play sucke becaude everybone knows via gman lives that they are scums and scammer : )
How it is with the comments tho? Cuz I am not sure
@@schizofreniccunt1952 Make Half Life 4 Man : )
Man, our savior to the gaming industry. Mad respect to you for doing this video man. We need more people to call these deceptive moves in the industry.
About "preview" - that happens in unreal whenever stationary lighting is not built. So instead the engine is using approximated lighting and has "preview" decals on surfaces that have no lighting information baked.
Saw a comment on the bully one saying rockstar couldn’t be creative enough to do that
Technically true.
12:03 now in their defense the police station they used for textures was actually reused as a sort of school irl in Baltimore Maryland. now called the "South Baltimore learning center"
13:56 nah the G-Man looks a lot like the colombian version of Saul Goodman from Metastasis (colombian Breaking Bad), renamed as SAUL BUENO
my real issue with the remakes is how they all use Unreal engine 5 regardless of the game's original style. UE5 just doesn't do grittier, muted styles all that well, though that may just be the designer's incompetence or the assets being flipped being store assets with no specified style in mind.
there are people who actually think that if every dev made their game on unreal 5 that it would somehow be better as if the problem with development is the engine and not time or money when modders consistently make great content for "outdated" engines just because they are passionate
@@alexandermccabe556 exactly, if anything working your remake around the original engine makes things easier since the foundation for the game is already laid so you have somthing to work off of. People just seem to take graphics at face value if they think these remakes are an improvement visually over the original.
I love how Rockstar games are also done in UE5 too, because they use their own proprietary engine
They had me at half life 2. Source engine is so unique and it’s literally built for half life 2 and these people just made it another generic post apocalyptic game
