I'd love that, maybe you could even collect different songs like in Ghost of Tsushima for your flute. Or even maybe a system like how you could find the musical notation pages for new crew shanties in AC Black Flag
I found this guy and just walked away from him. I sat and watched/listened to him and was actually moved in my heart. There was no reason not to kill him, he is standing in front of loot. There was no dialog or backstory that made me sympathetic. No appearance of weakness or infirmity to give me pause. Just an enemy with his back to me playing a flute. Something about the simple beauty of what they were doing and my own astonishment at the feelings it evoked in me stayed my hand. I don't think I've ever had an experience quite like that in 30+ years in gaming. It sounds dumb, but I was actually moved in my heart by this completely innocuous, meaningless little event.
Because you my friend are a mature person, someone who understands how hard life is, and how grey sometimes goes. This song, is no ordinary song, and only people who have lived enough or like me, young (24) but thoughtful, can "connect" with it. This song is about yearning what is lost, is about the past, a golden past, is about home, is about friends, is about everything that we lost in the way and we can do nothing but remember it with just a little bit of melancholy. Is about those moments and those feelings. That's why is so deep as much as it seems "simple", because our emotions look simple to the outside but are always deep and complicated in the inside (rather you are conscious or not, it matters not).
This guy actually perfectly harmonizes with the Leyndell Capital ambient theme. Go and listen to him with the background song. You'll hear it. It's so pretty...
The depraved perfumer in the albacanric village used to play this tune as well but doesn't anymore. It was so haunting and cool hearing this song in the devastated village.
I love this guy and I’ll never kill him. It honestly reminds me of when i was camping on the coast almost a decade ago and I woke up to someone playing the flute somewhere in the campsite circle. I just lied there for like 30 minutes listening to the mysterious flute player and the ocean in the distance I don’t really remember the tune that was played but there is a string of notes in this that sounds a lot like what I heard Good memories to get my shit kicked in to :)
He’s a boss in my game, for like bosses, he only had one death. Ever since that first encounter, I’ve stayed and listened a while before continuing on my way.
Was invading a world and saw him playing his flute. Then it got me thinking why they make enemies and stuff do this if the normal host isn't going to really have a chance to enjoy it if the enemy becomes aggressive.
@@who6242 More than just that. It's little encounters, special experiences that add to the overall bigger picture that is the game. Great video, the decision to put the Erdtree in the shot is just spot on! By the way, I made a little video covering some musical aspects behind this, thought you'd be interested in that!
Pages are just people serving the nobility "page who traveled at the side of the noble he served" from the page spirit ash. And if we look at the noble sorcerer spirit ash " Spirit of a nobleman who once asked to be given a place at Raya Lucaria to learn glintstone sorceries." So it's possible that the page was granted access to the academy to help his noble master during his formation. As to why the page is guarding the staff, I do think he's more likely guarding the graven-mass behind the chest. the item description for the graven mass talisman reads as follow : "the act of collecting sorcerers to fashion them into the seeds of stars" Thoses faces are litterally sorcerers that got merges together after another mage experiment with primeval current sorcery. So it's probable that the page's noble reside somewhere in this graven mass and he don't know what to do now that his master isn't "alive" anymore. It's all speculation of course.
I found this dude and i Calmly approached him, Even unequipped my weapons so i can listen to him, Sadly he attacked me and i had to kill him, It was such a shame but thank you for this video!

Not sure yet about if its connected to the merchants or other enemies, but the Page's song is almost exactly like the Leyndell Capital ambient music! Cool lore connection since thats where they come from
I'm working on the video right now. The bosses with dialogue are Margitt, Godrick, Rennala, Radahn, Morgott, Rykard, Mohg, Malenia, Maliketh, Ofnir and Godfrey. Please correct me if there are any other bosses with dialogue.
I can't quite remember, does this guy fight like a perfumer when you aggro him? I'm pretty sure this is the same song that the perfumer at the Village of the Albineurics plays.

I love how all the musicians in this game are quite melancholy. Their music tells enough of a story.
Yeah especially the merchants who are left in the catacombs with the flame of frenzy
This + Nomadic Merchant + Chanting Winged Dame are the reason I use the Rest gesture.

Very similar to the Leyndell Capital ambient music. They share the same three note leitmotif which the page repeats often in the song. really cool!
