Army vet here. A few observations: 1. The cheese spread was like GOLD back in the day (Mid 90s). 2. When I was in we had three options for candy. Charms (the old heads will know) skittles or tootsie rolls. 3. For a really good, fun time, try to eat one of the dry 'saltine' crackers as fast as you can without drinking water. I'm pretty sure no one died from that challenge, but I can't guarantee it. This was a great video! Keep em coming!!
Hey, PatPat - I went swimming with a friend at an abandoned mine when I was a kid. Got super hungry afterwards in the car. This kid I didn’t know was in the back seat. He was like, “I got food” and seemingly produced old military rations out of thin air. I don’t know how he got them in the car without me knowing. Really old - mid 1940s. We ate them even though it was 40 year old food. I must’ve been really starving, because it wasn’t bad. Thankfully we didn’t get sick. Swimming in the mines was super dangerous and banned. Eating the food was probably worse. I used to be so edgy, lol.
Hello there again patty. I was Army Infantry and yes, I agree with you that MRE's are not the most appetizing BUT I will say this. After spending weeks in the mountains in -30 below zero weather and sleeping on the ground for a couple hours MRE's were a God-send! Ours came with Tobacco sauce so you could drown out the bad tasting ones with that. My particular favorite was Beef Stew and the least favorite that everyone would gag on was Ham and Chicken loaf. Playfully referred to as Human Loaf. A little Army humor for you there, have a great day patty. You are fabulous and amazing as usual. 😎👍🙂
Huge respect Patty for trying these. I was a Navy SEAL for 12 years and I would avoid MREs whenever I could (many times couldn’t) . On deployments I brought multiple parachute bags filled with freeze dried vegetables, tuna, nuts, beef jerky . Or we would pack a Jet Boil with Mountain House . Hated those damn MREs. They aren’t meals , they aren’t ready , and you shouldn’t eat them.
@@AverageJoe483 My old man was in the 82nd when they swapped em over from C-rats to the MRE's and he always said it was like swapping to kings cuisine so take that as you will lol
I wouldn't worry about the expiration dates too much. These things are so loaded with microplastics you could live a long, healthy, fulfilling life before they begin to fester to the elements.
You guys are lucky to get MRE's. I got a Ration Pack, and we have to cook ours, with shitty matches and a Hexamine stove. More often than not, you'll eat them cold because the matches don't catch or the Hexamine refuses to burn. At least ours come with M&Ms though. Your a trooper Patty well done.
Merry Christmas to you Patty! Hope you live to see the New Year without e-coli or botulism. Much love, health, laughter and success to you in the coming year.
I'm a female vet and they started with the heating pouches when I was in many many years ago. You can eat them in field. I think that's why against a rock. As a kid I loved MREs my Dad would bring home. Some nasty some ok. I just enjoyed them because made me feel like I was in military, and eventually I was. But you are brave Patty to eat MREs from were you got them from. I would only eat ones issued to me, because I hope military would not give me expired MREs. The key word there is Hope 😂. Well anyway. Merry Christmas Patty and thanks for the vid.
Thankyou R shad! That’s sweet that you were excited as a kid and then made that a reality! Glad to hear the heat packs is somewhat newer so I know these at least probably weren’t toooo old

I sure hope you’re ok after eating all that stuff… mainly the beef patty 😊
Thankyou Andy!! I’ve survived into the weekend so I think I’m in the clear ahha
Beef Taco | White Chicken Chunks | Shredded Beef in BBQ | Beef Stew | Cheese Tortellini | Mexican Rice and Beans | Lemon Pepper Tuna | The top MREs
Definitely what I liked most about the video was seeing Patty with her hat and the patriotic cookies🐥💪💪
A moment of silence for Patricia’s body/bathroom for the next 24-48 hours. She has made a noble sacrifice for our education and entertainment this holiday season.
Merry Christmas and salute! 😮💨🫡
The truth is I have no plans, I'm literally in my bed doing nothing
british ration packs are better tastings and usually better for you
Yea if the pack is heavy enough, and the hike long enough, the perception changes. I would only wish for 60 to 100 grams of protein.☠️
Love these reactions Patty💯 Merry Christmas Eve🎄 She flexed them guns on us y'all😎😃
Merry Christmas!!
@@theleanbeefpatty How'd you like them lights?
Yoy have started making videos like Good Mythical Morning (Rhett and Link) and i am so grateful. These kinda food challenge videos are my favorite videos of yours. Weather you took my advice and made videos like this as a result of it or not is still a mystery however.
Thankyou Deb! I love making the food vids 😋
The funniest Christmas Eve show I’ve ever seen 😂patty your the best
Thankyou Andy!
good lird that discord sound effect made me jump haha, had a pavlovian response
hope you have a nice week patty, and happy holidays!! :3
This channel is really turning into an Idubbbz bad unboxing channel. I LOVE IT
Patty: "These Reese's Pieces expired last year! I don't know if these are safe for consumption."
Steve1989: "Hold my 100-year-old beef ration..."
Let’s goo Patty Merry Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas!!
i could be wrong but i think the not intended for resell is to try and stop active duty personnel from selling them. as far as i am aware the govt has never really perused anyone that is selling these online. but as for being in an antique store these are far from antique. now it they were in the dark brown bags that might be a different story.
I have a ton of these in my shed, came with the house 😂
queen Patty u make the most wonderful little soldier with ur soldier hat
I think it might be fun if you did a collab with Katina Eats Kilos, you guys have an energy that might work well together.
I seriously could NOT stop laughing my a** off 😂😂😂
Patty: "something is happening and now i'm concerned I dont know how to deal with it... cause I dont"
Seriously ❤ u babe.. u rock
