- A new Rock/Metal version of the old awesome dos pc-game's soundtrack written by me.
It's my personal tribute to this great game which still rocks after 17 years!
It was written with guitar pro 6.

A milestone in the dosgame era
ahhhhh. thats what's wrong with america....everyone is afraid of offending somebody, so the classic gritty games get pussied down. still, despite my assholistic attention to detail, this game will always rock. intense soundtrack, easy gameplay, i think sony and Xbox game developers need to slow down, look back at some of these jewels of gaming history, and stop spending hundreds of millions to develop a game and go back to basics. seriously. i played the shareware of this more than any xbox game

this is what happens if heavy metal bands did video game soundtracks. love the enhanced percussion. makes a big difference in an already awesome soundtrack. i wish MIDI sounded this good back then!

There's no download anymore, since I made this 8 years ago. However, I was thinking about maybe remixing them. I'll let you know in the video description whether there's new versions.

@@nicholashastings8384 As a matter of fact, I'm working on it. I have two jobs though, so this is a slow side project. Two of the tracks are done so far.

Wow, not bad! I can remember playing this game back then, how I would get stuck on like stage... 4 was it? I dunno, but I couldn't get past a certain boss (mostly because I had low powered weapons and little to no health.) I might have to download this game again and give it another go! ^_^
My only qualm is the menu song comes on too strong. I like it for it's relaxed sound, yet makes you head bang as soon as the arpeggio comes in.
Hi there. This is the best tribute to this soundtrack so far. May I ask you to also upload the guitar pro files? It would be cool to practice these tracks on guitar :)
This game mastered the Music for its genre, dodging plasma left and right and shooting down the enemies as they fly into your line of fire ;w;
it's supposed to be Harold's Death Emporium...not weapons emporium. you can even see it on the moniter, HDE in the upper left screen.

did you convert them to 11,025 hz?...that's all i had to do to get the songs playing in the game..
if it doesn't work anyway i could convert them and upload them..but that might take a while.

sure, you can swap the songs in the raptor 2010 version, i did that too...that's why i wrote them in the first place :)
the thing is that you have to convert the files to a worse quality (11,025 hz) when you try it because unfortunately the game doesn't take any wave files with better quality...

@Ebbelboiz Thanks a lot! The music is fantastic. I'm really eager to overwrite the .wav files in Raptor 2010 Edition's folder with your tracks. I love the oldschool tunes, but your re-versions are amazing updated renditions, and I can tell that plenty of respect and love went into every note.
The way "Hangar" leads into "Raptor 1" is the stuff of legends.
This music genre, rock/metal, fits well with the theme of aerial combat. High speeds, towering altitudes or dogfighting at dangerously *low* altitudes, as well as Raptor's plethora of super-powered weapons all scream 'EXTREME!' in the face of the pilot, and this medley sums it all well.
@Jonathanpoll I really liked your versions, by the way, Jonathanpoll. You even did the bonus unused song!
also, i forgot to mention.....A W E S O M E job on this remix. totally kickass. i listen to this every couple of days while working.

Attila Tamas Glad you enjoyed it.. ;) I made this so many years ago though, that I don't really provide an active download link anymore, sorry. Also as far as I recall, you have to drastically decrease the quality of the wave files in order to get the game to read them, which makes the music sound almost as low quality as the originals. :D
