This video arrived just in the right moment. I bought the tracker a while ago, but had not the time to really get into it. I want to make my first steps this weekend. So, this video makes it a lot easier for me. More tutorials are definitely welcome! 😀
Thank you for the no filler clear breakdown on this thing! Great walkthrough... also even though your demo song was basic it still sounded way better than most on these types of videos :D
For anyone who has a coder or Visual cognitive process, this is a no-brainier …. NOT everyone is going to get it … and that’s absolutely fine. Yes, I have an iPad Pro and a Korg synth + Circuit Tracks that could do a million things together but hardware algorithm -based way of making music appeals to my brain … the dopamine hits will just keep on coming, I feel. I was thinking of getting that GR-1 granular synth and a Circuit Rhythm for Sampling. The PolyEnd Tracker looks like I will get both needs met whilst using a system that sits best with my type of brain 🧠 I can’t imagine how it won’t speed up my production process 🔌 ⚡ I have seen a few of these reviews and this is ONE OF ONLY 3 that have given a comprehensive and concise walkthrough that helped confirm my intent to purchase. 👏🏽 EXCELLENT REVIEW ⭐ EXCELLENT 👌 KNOWLEDGE subscription confirmed ✔

Hi Ron, I don't know if this appeals to you BUT, How about a beginners guide for the freshly released Polyend Tracker Mini. I am trying to follow this guide but keep getting confused with looking for the mini equivalent and its making it hard work, and I am sure that with your experience and knowledge you could help me to understand my new machine. Trackers are a mystery to me(that's part of the appeal) but of course I have bought the one Polyend product that doesn't have a proper tutorial, hence this request!😎
Just want to thank you again for all your awesome videos you put out so clear and easy to follow great. Do you know how to load machine expansions on the sod card so I could use them on here? Thank you in advance
Awesome tutorial! I just bought one and this helped out a lot!! Quick question, what is that device to the lower left with the animated 8 bit anime character?
Thanks! Yeah I made the tutorial what I would've wanted to see! Tivoo divoom is the eye candy. It's a Bluetooth speaker. I plan to make more of these tracker videos but I need to use it more first haha
Totally deluge by far! But if you're into the tracker interface go for it. I started off music with a tracker so I do like it. Btw tracker total sample length limit is 3 minutes. Deluge has a lot more capability. I find when I use tracker the results are different.
puzzled that it will let you cursor over the filled white boxes representing each track of a pattern in the song view, but won't let you mute/unmute them on a step of a song. all I've managed to do from this screen is (permanently) delete a track from a pattern while editing a song. also, a 'number of repeats' column would be useful, save you scrolling up & down so much when a song has a lot of steps the same. cool box, though. I love the per-step instrument thing in trackers, having been frustrated in the past by sequencers running out of tracks because several are playing very few events but need to run independently.
Would be nice if in song mode, you could just repeat the same pattern then choose which tracks are muted per slot - seems like that would be a logical thing to do.
Yeah Rons right. The old way with the original fasttracker/digitracker/etc was you'd make copies and just slice out (or add in, more often than not) the stuff you want in or out. Its a fairly productive workflow when you get the hang of it. I agree though that would be a nice way to do things (particularly if you wanted to try and use this stuff live, although that was never really the usecase of trackers)
Well don't get one :) tracker interfaces are the first way I ever made music back in 1993. They have at least for me different results than other sequencers and have pros and cons with it's workflow. So if this looks not like a good workflow just use other stuff :)
Thanks for watching! Expect many more tracker tutorials in the future! Don't forget to check out my other content!
great work on this, I'm supporting any tutorials for the tracker

So glad to know I’m not thr only one who does this (informed But impulsive acquisition relegated to shelf until timing is right lol )
Appreciate the clear and concise tutorial. I just got my tracker the other day. But more importantly, that's a really good song. Nice!

I have one of these on the way from Sweetwater. Thank you Ron for another excellent video on how to use this gear!
Thanks! I actually started off using impulse tracker when making music! I should revisit this series some time!
We tend to do the same purchases. Groovebox lover for life!
Completely fascinating and the potential for the freakiest of grooves not sure if the workflow is for me but I want one!
Solid tutorial 👍Thx
Thank You!
Same thanks only got my Tracker yesterday and find the Polyend Tutorials a little lacking 👍

Cheers Ron, really helpful for getting me started.
Thanks! I'm actually working on a new series called polyend tracker boot camp so stay tuned! I'll cover these basics again in better ways :)
That's exactly what I need right now. I'm sure there will be plenty of others in same position following the recent price drop 😊

Nice tool for musicians. Thanx for the video
Excellent vid! Thank you for doing this!
Thanks for this tutorial! I was creating songs in less than an hour.
Exactly what I needed - thank you!
Now I just need to learn what all the effects mean, because I did not hear a difference when you turned reverb. 😂

put in sd card to computer, add folder, and copy files.
Can you use the 3.5mm input on the mini to connect a mic?
Great job
That intro song sounded like a distorted af (in a tape way) scooby doo intro song lmao I loved it

I've seen a loooot of tut's, yet thisone is very helpful for getting a grasp of how the thing really works. Thank you!
One of those samples sounds like a Battles song
I don't think you have to go into the samples menu each time you wanna switch between kick/snare for example
Yes there are other ways when I get to it I want to make a boot camp series on tracker
Very Hel[ful, thanks,

Hmm easy enough to just copy the pattern down and cut out the tracks you want
